Ideal Carpentry

James was highly recommended to me by a friend who had him do some major repairs to her home and I am well pleased with his work. He built an extension above my kitchen cabinets, added some trim, and did a beautiful job laying tile for my backsplash. He was careful in his work and helpful with suggestions. He’s an honest, hard worker and pleasant to have in my home.

I had been referred to James through a friend. I had seen his work in their house and it was very well done, so I knew this job would turn out well. We were moving a load bearing wall in our daylight basement and relocating a closet. Along with this, the ceiling needed additional support added.
James was great to work with and very precise especially with the need of more support in the room. He arrived on time and finished the project in much less time than was anticipated. He was also very understanding of our timeline and fit us in to his busy schedule.

James is a great person to work with, he is professional, detail oriented, hard working, and creative. We used him for a kitchen/​living room remodel and his pricing was very attractive, but the actual construction process was where he really shined.
If a problem came up during the construction, he would text us pictures of the situation so that we could understand the problem, and provide the proper direction. He was creative in finding solutions that worked well for us and saved money. On top of all this, his quality of work is excellent. I would highly recommend him for any home improvement project.

I can’t say enough about Ideal Carpentry. My wife and I have worked James (owner) for two projects in the last two years. The first project was a kitchen/​living remodel and the second was a master bathroom remodel.
We couldn’t have been happier with the way that both of these turned out! James is very detailed in the work he does and he’s a professional that knows how to get the job done right! I like to think of myself as being a good carpenter, but the work that James does puts my skills to shame!
So I’ve told you how both of our jobs turned out fantastic. But I haven’t talked about the process along the way. This is where I think that James soars above other contractors. From the initial estimate to the final payment, James is extremely easy to work with! He work his hardest to make sure the job gets completed on time and shows up every day that he’s supposed to! As with every project, there are changes that are needed along the way. Whether it was minor changes such as color choices, or major changes, James made it apparent that his number one priority was to keep us happy!!!
