So, as a recently new home owner I have quite a bit of sweat equity to invest into my new house. PrevIously, had been wandering around a store in Tacoma Mall for almost twenty minutes till a sales floor person informed me that they had not sold nails for years. They in turn suggested Lincoln Hardware. While there, I learned about how the direction of wood grain in the handle is key to longevity in a hammer. Customer service is detailed, respectful, and specific. The store itself has random items that appeal to tinkerers – like myself. I will be definitely beeline to support this local business before heading to the local Home Despot.

I love this place. Lovely little neighborhood, family-owned hardware store. They generally have what I need, and they are incredibly friendly and informative. They even recommended a contractor who ended up being great to work with. They know a lot about the community – and usually make great recommendations.

Remember when you used to walk into a hardware store where immediately approached by a knowledgeable person to answer all your questions? This still exists at Lincoln Hardware. Not only can you ask where to find what you are looking for in the store, but you can also get great home improvement advice from the staff. They have helped me solve several issues that I had in my home. This saves me money and makes me more confident to tackle other projects in the house. The only downside are the hours, they close to early to make it there after work and are closed on sunday. The only day I can visit the store is saturday. If this were not the case then they would probably have more of my money.

Yes, these are the hardware people. There is almost nothing they can’t help with. They are super friendly and very very helpful AND caring. Stores like this were gone 30 plus years ago. They even want me to bring in my dog, and get upset when I don’t as they love to feed him biscuits!!! Definitely a class act. Do not miss this!!!

I can not believe there are no reviews for this fantastic old fashioned family owned hardware store. Scott, Jennifer and Dave the grandkids of the founder give the best service ever. Jennifer spent over an hour helping me tear apart my kitchen facet, clean it out found the problem and charged $ 7.38 the cost of the parts. These folks can not be beat for knowledge, friendliness and good old fashioned customer service. I say they are better then having a husband!!!

I needed to install a new ladder on my boat, and wasn’t really sure the best way to do it. I had planned on just browsing through the nuts and bolts but instead got a bunch of great direction from the store. We talked about a bunch of options and finally settled on one that had me spending a whole $ 2.00. The service for something more expensive than a coke and a candy bar must be awesome!

This is an amazing local store with great deals and everything you would expect from a well-stocked hardware store. But the best part is the service. People who work here are EXPERTS, not like the jokers at big chain stores, and can help you with any project. Support our local economy in Tacoma and learn something, too.

Go Local at its best. A very cool older hardware store that offers little bits of everything hardware-related except lumber.(for lumber in Tacoma: Gray Lumber on 6th Ave.) Lincoln Hardware has very experienced staff that are very familiar with their inventory and helpful with questions. The same people work there year after year; which I find very cool. Has the feel of an old-time store. I enjoy going into a store as a repeat customer and being recognized, or better yet, them recalling what I purchased last and asking how it all worked out. Way, way better than any big-box corporate home improvement warehouse … and it’s a locally owned business. Plus Plus.
