Awesome food but the lady who takes orders seems a little rude.

Best tortas around; a different animal than the ones offered in most places. Bakery is a nice bonus with lots of affordable treats.

I was craving for a cuban sandwich I would normally get back home in Miami. And came across this place. Their sandwich is delicious! It isn’t like the usual cuban sandwiches I would get but it was it’s own kind of sandwich… I got the sandwich with everything on it… sooooooo good. Big portion, I saved the other half for the next day.

I went and got dinner here last night. We were tired and just wanted to eat. I found parking right out front and noticed a sign that offered parking in the lot in the back. Good to know. This place is truly a small, thrown together place. The menu is in spanish, but with the pictures and a few questions, I picked out a few tortas(sandwiches). The sammys run about 8 bucks a pop and are big! I got the deliciousa, the hawaiian and the suprema along with 4 carne asada street tacos. They were delicious! I highly recommend this place!

I came in here last night with my guy, and we were kind of skeptical about the neighborhood lol BUT the drive was definitely worth it! They make best tortas we’ve ever had. I had the suprema and he had the Hawaiian and both were hot, juicy, savory, and stacked with meat /veggies…not no flat torta that most other places make them. We’ll definitely be coming back, well worth it and the melon jugo was mmmmm! 5 stars all the way!

WOW. If this place was in Seattle there would be a line out the door all day long. We both tried their sandwiches(Cubana and Honolulu). Both of which were phenomenal. At $ 7.50, these sammies were a total steal. We also picked up a pastry with cream inside that was pretty good too!!!

Thanks to my friend for finding this hidden gem because it has become one of my favorite taco place! Al Pastor with pineapple bits? YESYESYES! And their salsa? Amazing! I don’t know the names of the one i got, but one was creamy and had a good kick to it which felt my tongue tingling. In a good way. $ 1.50 per taco.

We got off a flight at SEATAC and were starving from refusing to eat the crappy airline food. We had a drive to Olympia, so we thought Tacoma would be a good place to stop. Unilocal led us to the Zocalo bakery and restaurant, and I’ve never beed happier with a dining decision made using Unilocal! The tacos were fantastic, i haven’t had tacos that good since Mexico City. My gf got the zocalo burrito and was very satisfied. It was about as long as her arm! We also ordered their walnut milkshake out of curiosity, and were surprised to find it was quite delicious. I’m very glad this place is not in Olympia, because I would spend way too much money here. Note that we did not try any of their baked goods, but it seemed to compare with the bakeries I saw in Mexico City a couple years ago. I loved the food enough to make a Unilocal account to write this review.

We were wandering around Tacoma looking for a quick bite when we came across this weird super shady looking spot. Well, we hesitantly went inside, given our obviously adventurous streak(not). but it smelled so damn good that we ended up staying and having the BEST street tacos since moving from California. The meat was perfect and the tortillas super soft and fresh. We got the chicken which was pretty finger lickin good while the El pastor tacos were simply perfect! So yes we got some crazy looks from the locals while trying to figure out the spanish menu but it was definitely worth the awkwardness.

Don’t skip by this place cuzz it ain’t much to look at from the outside. The magic happens in the kitchen, and it’s sure to amaze. Being from So Cal it’s hard to impress me with a torta, but damn Fernando, you’ve done it. I don’t know of anything else in the world that tastes this good on a piece of bread. The fresh bread and the cheese make this a don’t miss in the sandwich world. The bakery has some great dulces and bolillos, and are served up daily. Eating here is a must every time I’m in the northwest.
