I will go out to say this place has the Best Donuts in the pacific northwest!!! I have been to hundreds of donut shops and connies has the best recipe. The cruellers here are made to perfection. They have amazing apple fritters too! I love the variety here the strawberry glaze frosting is mouthwatering!!!

Probably one of the best donuts I have ever had. The frosting to dough ratio is on point. Try a cruller or a buttermilk anything. It’s gonna be hard to go anywhere else for donuts from here on out.

Sweets, of any kind, are a rare treat for me so I choose carefully! I read the reviews — several mentioned that Connie’s donuts don’t have that«greasy» taste(yay!) and decided it was time for a treat. I bought an apple fritter(yum!), a cruller(YUM!!) and a filled lemon bar — once home, they all underwent a «just a bite» taste test before being portioned out and popped into the freezer — except for the cruller — it was the best I’ve ever tasted and it went«poof»! I rarely eat sugar(dietary restrictions are the pits!) but when the craving for a treat hits — in the future — Connie’s is definitely on my list!

Connie’s has the best doughnuts ever. They don’t have that yeasty taste to them and she has a wide variety of doughnuts to chose from. They are not as greasy as some can be. If you like doughnuts this is the place to get them.

Been in Tacoma for 2 years and by far this is the best donut and coffee shop in town. The owner is amazing and so is her donuts. No other donut shop can make me get up on a Saturday morning just to come get some donuts.

Connie is amazing! And so is her doughnuts! Enough said! But Unilocal will add it as a tip unless I add more narrative so I’m just typing at this point. Not the best looking place but I mean, would you rather get business from a sweet woman who bakes her own goodies or … Starbucks?

What a gem of a neighborhood donut shop! We just moved to the area and came across Connie’s(since its literally a minute walk from our house) and I’m so happy to have this so close by! The apple fritters are by far my favorite, but I’ve also tried a lemon custard filled donut which was fabulous as well. I always get a soy vanilla chai latte as well with my donut, and that is delicious and creamy. We’ve gone once before 30 min before closing and she still had quite a few donuts left! But there is a sign saying she’ll close early if donuts sell out. The woman working(who I assume is Connie) is always pleasant and quick, and we will continue to come here from now on for our donuts :)

Oh, My, Gawd! I was out for a walk when I finally ventured inside Connie’s. I’m in trouble; deep trouble having these amazingly, delicious donuts just around the block from me. I bought a maple bar with bacon and a lemon something-or-other. Out-of-this-world good!

Love love love Connies doughnuts! I’ve never been a huge fan of doughnuts but these ones quickly changed my mind. My massage class and I enjoyed these delicious treats many days in class… more then I should probably admit! But they are just so yummy you can’t help but eat more then one! The blueberry cake doughnuts… MYFAVORITE! And this is coming from someone who doesn’t usually enjoy either! Thanks for all the tasty pastries!

My friend’s would always pick up doughnuts from Connie’s. Never was I disappointed when they opened that box! I don’t often eat them, but if I do, I stop here. Love this place, not to mention the quality is on point!

I have to admit, I’ve never been a huge fan of doughnuts. It’s not that I had anything against them ass much as they just would never draw me in for whatever reason. I visited a friend yesterday and noticed Connie’s Doughnuts just a few yards away. When I was leaving, I had a craving for doughnuts. I went inside and purchased a dozen doughnuts. They have a great selection and the different flavors were all great. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting, some amazing custard filled Boston Cream doughnuts, plus blueberry filled, just to name a few. I highly recommend stopping in, meetings the wonderful staff, and get some good coffee and great doughnuts! What are you doing? Shouldn’t be getting in your car about now and heading out to Connie’s? My husband and I visit Connie’s often and we are never disappointed. Always a good price for quality donuts. The last time my husband picked up a box from here the scones we picked out were still warm! :)

I’ve been here a couple times and their donuts are always delicious. When you walk in you’re greeted by a very friendly lady. Not gonna lie, it’s really tiny inside so I usually take my donuts togo. My favorite is always the chocolate bar.

Best doughnuts in S/E Tacoma! Always fresh, always tasty, Connie’s is a staple for our weekend mornings. There are no frills of the Legendary Donuts or Voodoo Donuts variety. These are your standard doughnuts: and you’ll get exactly what you want and expect every time. Best doughnuts in N Tacoma — Pao’s Best doughnuts in Hilltop — Le Donut

Cute little neighborhood donut shop in the Eastside. There’s a plentiful selection, a coffee bar and their house drip is pretty satisfying! Every time we’ve stopped here, the donuts have always been fresh and some times still warm from the fryer. We’ve never been disappointed with our selection and most definitely never with service!

Update on the update: I thought I should mention, they’ve fixed the coffee long ago! They’ve also added fresh(and hot if you’re there early) scones with raspberry or blueberry jam! What a treat with a good cup of coffee!

I couldn’t stop at Connie’s when it first opened because the building it’s in was this weird, sweet, untouched retro house with storefront attached. When the building was sold, they tore all the charm off the building, slapped aluminum siding on it, tore out all the strange yard art out of the side courtyard, and I was heartbroken. That was almost five years ago. I finally decided to try the donuts because I am a donut diver as well as a a diner diver… if there is sugar coma-inducing goodness to be had, I must know. We bought a dozen for about $ 10, which I thought was fair for the quality. I’ve listed our samples from most favorite to least: This buttermilk custard filled was good: large, moist,( ) and I have to say, not the most common donut one will find. The pumpkin cake donut( ) was moist as well, and I think some people will be in heaven — but it’s a very particular taste. It’s very heavy on the nutmeg and lighter on the pumpkin flavor. Cake donuts and crullers were solid, but not revelatory.( ) Chocolate donuts we sampled were a bit cloying:( ) I will still go to Pao’s in Tacoma first, Le Donut or Dockyard second… and might stop here if in the neighborhood. Connie’s is good for a neighborhood shop, but not a destination stop if you’re a fried dough aficionado. 9⁄30
