Fast friendly service and good Coffee, Hot Cocoa and Smoothies. They know how to speed it up incase you need to make your train. I stop in a few times before I head to work and on occasion before I head home on the train to sip a Orange Smoothie on my trip. Great conversation with the Barista when I stop in as well. Plus they have ice cream for when its warm.

All I can say is, the afternoon Barista must hate his life, job and customers with a passion. I’ve stopped there three times this past two weeks, same story every time. This individual goes out of his way to not smile, look angry and and just plain be rude.

I love this little coffee shop! The morning barista is so sweet, she’s always got a smile on her face & she even remembers my drink.(you don’t get that at the big chain places) My hazelnut latte is always PERFECT. I love starting my work day with Mocha Stop!

Today at the coffee shop at freight house square. It’s 550, my train comes at 6. Me: can I have a small coffee and how long would it take for a bagel? Her: 2 minutes Me: ok. Can I please have a cheese bagel. Her: here’s your coffee Me: oh you could just put it in here(my travel cup) Her: oh, well I already put the lid on Me: ?? Ok, I guess I’ll do it Fast forward 8 minutes. I hear the train arriving. Me:(conversationally) So, how about that bagel? Her:(not looking at me) I’ll get it for you in just a minute. I need you to calm down. Me:(WTF?) I’m not un-calm, I just need to leave, that’s my train. You said it would take 2 minutes and it’s been 8. I gotta go. Her: well here it is, no need to panic. You have a nice day. Me: *expletive* as I run to catch train. . Here’s how commerce works. People give you money for a product you sell, you give them the product as described in a reasonable amount of time. This girl is rude, slow, and cannot multitask. No one is here at 5:50 in the morning to hang out or do some shopping. Because this is literally AT the train stop, it gets very busy. Naturally, we are on a schedule, hence the reason I asked for a reasonable expectation on the bagel BEFORE I ordered it. I can’t believe she had the nerve to tell me to calm down when I simply asked for my bagel that I had already paid for so I could leave. Seriously, holding me hostage. Her crappy sugary sweet ‘have a nice day’ was a thinly veiled and sarcastic F*** you so I gave her a direct one in return to which she gave a theatrical ‘Oh my gosh!’ Ridiculous. I can’t remember ever saying something like that in my 44 years to someone at a place of business but in this case, totally merited. She clearly doesn’t understand that missing a train because it takes her 10 minutes to give me my bagel means missing my connection which means being late to work which means I have failed to meet my adult responsibilities. Over a bagel. Yeah, NOW I have an attitude.

First time I was ever told by a coffee shop to «make up my mind». I had ordered a Almond Mocha and then asked if they had sugar free almond. Sorry — I will be more ready next time. They are in the freight house square and after eating I thought I would have a Mocha — especially with the picture showing the decoration. While the Mocha was OK — they don’t have real cups — apparently when I asked for one the young lady was shocked and said why would we have real cups when there is paper — huh — civilization perhaps. For a in the mall place — I would think they would cater more to staying than going customers and how do they decorate — as the photo below shows — if you have a lid on the container. Also — it apparently is not a manned shop — after waiting patiently — I finally rang the bell and the lady came from the stand next door — not sure if she runs both stands. While not overly expense — the price was on the high side for a no frill cup of to-go coffee. Can do much better at the stands and since that is the market they cater to — I would say they are high. If you are wanting a coffee in the Freight House Square — you do not have much choice but I would suggest you wait and just get it at a stand.

Been going here for at least 6 years. Even if its been months since I was last in the lady still knows what I want. ONLY issue is she needs to get an employee or three. she is always there.

The guy working over the weekend didn’t apply the ice cream scoop to the cone. When my 5 year old took one luck it fell on the floor. The guy wouldn’t replace the ice cream and wouldn’t give a refund. It’s a simple job to put ice cream on a cone!

My husband and I have been getting coffee from Mocha Stop for about a month and a half now. The coffee itself is very good. We’ve had lattes, flavored lattes, iced coffee, fancy blended shakey things, etc. The flavored drinks aren’t overly sweet, which is nice.(They’re sweet. Just not tooth-melting sweet.) Haven’t tried any of the little pastries/bagels/etc because when we’re there, we’re there for caffeine. What I really enjoy about Mocha Stop(aside from the fact that it’s Right There as you step off the train after a long day) is the service. The proprietor is charming and friendly. All three people who’ve waited on us have made our drinks very quickly and correctly – and, again, they’re NICE. It’s like they’re happy to be there or something. I always look forward to a morning coffee(or afternoon shake) from Mocha Stop.
