The Trading Post

They have to be the worse appliance repair! The tech that came to the house, Gary, lied about what needed to be done. He didn’t bother to call back with an estimate. We called the shop and was mislead about who the management was. Still nothing done about service call so we called back and was given to a different person who told us the problem would be resolved. Third time of calling back was told that we were speaking to owner. Called us a liar and hung up on us. Now we are out our money with no results!

Very unprofessional and mean owner! I will never go back or have anything fixed/​replaced with them. The place is a wreck and while I was there another customer was bringing back an appliance he purchased from them that did not work at all. They were being rude to this poor customer too. AWFUL!!!

RE: Broken dryer. Wouldn’t turn on…, Called Sears tech support and they said that the part was no longer available, the best the could do for me was give me a good deal on a brand new dryer… Did the same with at least 3 other businesses… Same result.
Went to Trading post explained that the dryer wouldn’t turn on and they told me what the problem was and how to fix it. The part cost $ 23.00… Dryer was fixed within one hour of my return. The home is HAPPY AGAIN!!! Thank you Young Lady, I will be back!!! Three cheers for a Small Family Owned Business!

I checked around town for used or scratch and dent washers and actually thought The Trading Post was a different business that I found out later is located down the street. They have a lot of appliances. We got tired of the front load washers and wanted a top loader again. We bought it, loaded it and was told that it had a 30 day warranty. We took it home and the washer leaked– I understand this is a used store so I didn’t have a problem with it, but I wasn’t sure how they would be about the 30 day warranty. I called them and said no problem, I just needed to bring it back in and they would fix it. They explained what the issues could have been and apologized for the inconvenience. The next day I picked it up and it had the same leak-​I think, but when I showed up they said they would just trade it for another one. They actually gave me a better washer at no cost. They apologized again and haven’t had any issues with the new washer. I was very pleased with how they treated me. I will recommend this place to anyone!

Got an appliance problem or just need a part? This family-​owned business has been here since 1975, and the family is THERE working hard. We needed a replacement ice maker for our 1980 GE frig and they actually had one that fit! Hours of searching the Internet and GE suppliers was fruitless… but they had the right match and for $ 25 we made off like bandits. They have a huge inventory of all appliances and you should check them out BEFORE spending too much money like I almost did!
