Can I give this place zero stars? As a matron of honor in a friends wedding, I’ve experienced horrible customer service from Absolute Haven. Inadequate measurements… Out of 8 bridesmaids 6 dresses needed MAJOR alterations. Store hours are not consistent with what is posted on the door. They also charged Erroneous «rush fees». I would never choose this place for my wedding. I chose the dress size that Kimberly (THE PROFESSIONAL) insisted that I get. I, as the maid of honor had been to the store with the bride before the wedding party came and picked out the dress as well as tried it on in the purple display size. That size fit fine and that’s the size I wanted to get. When we returned for a consultation with the rest of the girls I tried the exact same purple dress on again for them to see it. During that time I told Kimberly that I’d actually prefer to go a size down from the display because I had been working out and was planning to lose more weight. She insisted that I get a larger size even after I told her what I wanted. Her being the «professional» I trusted her. Why on earth would I order a size 14 dress when I know I’m a size 12 trying to lose more weight? That’s asinine. Then, to try to «fix» the mistake she gives us some story about the dress company switching the sizes and the old 12 is now a 14 or something crazy like that. Why aren’t the dresses we tried on in the store the same as what the company ships? $ 200+ for a dress now $ 60 worth of alterations is totally unacceptable for a dress that will be worn 1 time.

Great hidden gem in Tallahassee! The customer service could be more friendly but the dresses are to die for!

By far my favorite Bridal store in all of Orlando, Jacksonville and Tallahassee. I was in Tallahassee for work and decided to stop in by myself. I had been to almost every store in Orlando and a handful in Jacksonville and have had not much luck. The store is small but has a great selection. The dresses in my opinion are amazing. They are contemporary yet classic but at the same time unique. The prices are great. I found 3 dresses I liked ranging from $ 450 — $ 950. The designers they sell allow you to even change some of the details of the dress if you dont like them. Another plus of this place is the sample sizes of the dresses. I normally wear a size 8 but in wedding dresses i wear a 12. I have been to some stores with sample sizes of 4 –8 and it definitely can make you feel fat. At Absolute Haven every dress was too big which I liked. The store is own by a mother and daughter who are so sweet. You get the vibe that they are in the business because its a passion and not just for the money. I have been to really high end places in Orlando yet at Absolute Haven I felt more special and respected. I wish I would of bought the dress but it is so hard when all the other times Ive have people with me. I plan on going back next time I’m in Tallahassee and hopefully getting my dress. They also have great Bridal party dresses/​special occasion dresses. The only thing I dont like is the store is 4 hours from where I live but hey I cant take a star away from them for that.
