Have eaten here twice. Let me start by saying I love their commitment to always keeping a rotating selection of microbrews. Always good in a pizza place! Now, the pizza is to die for! The slices are larger than most individual pizzas. The special with locally-sourced sausage is the best. Also had the chicken specialty pizzas. Really good.

10ish years later and they’re still pretty decent. Look for the neon blue building, you won’t regret it. Get yourself some Bradley’s Hot Sausage.

My favorite pizza in Tallahassee. I usually pick up, but I have dinned in once. Nice people, fresh pizza.

One of the best pies in Tallahassee. The crust is top notch, toppings are fresh, and the service is friendly. My favorite is the Ben(with chicken added), and it is delicious.

4:36P on a Friday afternoon. «Decent Pizza, please hold». Over ten minutes later they hang up on me. Can’t order online, unless using via delivery service, so I called back, was told a medium pizza would be ready in 25 mins. Picked up pizza asked for a bottled beer to take home, denied. They said they couldn’t sell it to me if I was to leave with it, even if it was not open(I’ve had restaurants seal my bottle of wine to take home, so what’s up with that?). Instead of driving across the road to buy a beer from a gas station I opted for a cherry Coke(one size choice: medium). Got home and noticed the cherry Coke was all soda, no flavor, didn’t have it in me to call and sit on hold for 10 mins to let them know. I have an Airbnb apartment around the corner from this joint, and don’t feel good about recommending them to guests. The pizza was great, but the service seems like they have better things to do than take orders from hungry people on a Friday afternoon. Is the beer thing really legit?

Looking for a Calzone, look no further. Huge tasty and that is just the sauce. The wait on a Saturday is well worth this awesome creation of goodness.

Bottom line: This is a 4.5 that rounds up to a 5. (I’ll preface by stating that this may not read coherently until you get to the finale, but I’d like to think you’ll agree that I tie this up and leave no loose strings). Kurt Koffka said«The Whole is OTHER than the sum of the parts»(More famously, he was subsequently and incorrectly translated to say«The Whole is GREATER than the sum of the parts», but let’s put the Gestalt principles on hold for a moment…) This quote is pertinent to how I perceive ideal pizzerias. The parts being the pizzas(and other menu items) themselves, the service, the décor, the ambiance, the clientele, etc. What struck me tonight, as I entered Decent and hadn’t even sat down, let alone taste the pies, was that«The Whole» was very comfortable — very true to what I conjure when I reminisce of all the great pizzeria experiences of my past five decades. Pizza, after all, is «The People’s Food». A decent pizzeria should rebuke the notions of white linens and the more«nouveau» ingredients sometimes find in certain upscale joints. This is not to say that there can’t be certain unexpected ingredients, but — I think we can all attest to those particulars that needn’t apply as pizza toppings(Duck, corn-peas-carrots, nuts of any kind, Fenugreek, Cardamom, Salmon, Epoisses — these are actual toppings I’ve witnessed over the years — none of them belong on a pizza. They’re all meant to be consumed elsewhere — not in a pizzeria, and NOT on a pizza). Back to my treatise on «The People’s Food»… This«People’s Food» is often best enjoyed in a social setting where one can relax and feel relaxed. Where pretense is left at the coat check just outside. Beer and Pizza go together like Martin & Lewis. That means Beer needs to be free-flowing. The clientele need to all be completely absorbed in their company, and not worrying about looking about the room and«being seen». The venue itself, being comfortable, needs to have booths, tables and bar stools that are inviting — that make you want to park yourself down and not worry about leaving anytime soon. Decent scored high marks across the board — and underscored that at a certain point, pizza ceases to be «good» or «bad» and is simply what it is. If it’s pizza YOU like, then it’s good pizza to you. If you prefer other pizza, then it’s not«bad» pizza, it’s just not your favorite — but nonetheless you respect the art. I stress«at a certain point». There is still a minimum threshold that any pizzeria wanting to take itself seriously must cross over. Is Decent Pizza the pizza I would choose over all else in Tallahassee? — It’s not. But… — I’m not making that life-or-death end-all, be-all list right now. Right now, I’m just telling you that this is GREAT pizza, and the folks who make it clearly take pride in their work — and it showed in the four pizzas we ordered tonight. I will say this — My favorite pizza remains at the top — but now, 2nd place is shared. I’ll end with this. I didn’t even order pizza tonight! — I just had a slice of the medium cheese that we ordered. My stromboli was the best stromboli I’ve had in Tallahassee. Hands down. Unequivocally so. It was truly exceptional. So — the sum of the parts here are all really great. The Whole(Decent Pizza itself — the tangible and intangible combined) is a great experience that took me to another place. Dare I say… «That happy place.» Decent Pizza — you are exceptionally comfortable and inviting, and your food is top quality. Thank you. We’ll be back.

Decent Pizza should get real and change their name already because these guys know how to make a damn good pie. Let me start off by saying that the service was excellent. We arrived about 5 minutes after their BOGOF Craft beer deal ended, but they were nice about it and allowed us to get it anyways. We then ordered a large supreme pizza and found a table by the wall. When the server brought us our pizza, it was LOADED with toppings and crisped to perfection. I took one bite of my first slice and knew straight away that we weren’t going to have any leftovers to take home with us. Every bite had an evenly spread out amount of toppings and the pizza had the perfect amount of red sauce. The crust was crisp and complimented the whole pizza. Of course, we also got a few cups of ranch to supplement our pizza which I believe was $.50 per. I’m going to be totally honest, there are some days where all I can think about is my next trip to Decent.

Update: I recently stopped by after having been out of town for the summer, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the place had undergone a nice renovation. When I found out that there was new management, I wondered whether or not the pizza would taste differently. The good news is that my slice was just as delicious as before. Way to go, Decent Pizza! Keep on doin’ yo thang.

I can eat my fair share of a pizza so I wasn’t too intimidated when the girl at the cash register told me the pies were huge. However, I may have met my match! I ordered a large supreme pizza and it was the size of a manhole. The Supreme has basically got everything on it, sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers, etc. I asked for no olives and it came out with olives anyways but after picking them all off it was pretty delicious! I didn’t have any drinks tonight but they have a pretty sweet 2 for 1 beer deal Sunday through Tuesday as well.

Just as the name says. …decent pizza. Ok, not great. Good atmosphere, laid back and casual. Good selection of draft beer. Wasn’t a bad experience, but wouldn’t rush back.

Their marketing team hit the nail on the head. It’s decent pizza. A wide variety of specialty pizzas, salads, stromboli, and calazones. Hubby and I split a Greek salad(decent) and the Real«something» supreme pizza. Nice crust, light sauce, and the sausage was delicious!. Our kids split a buffalo chicken pizza(strong gorganzola undertone) and the other had a slice of Margherita. We took advantage of the two for one draft beer special, which consisted on local and regional beers.

Lives up to its name. I like it and crave their pizza. My husband isn’t a fan. They have shittons of vegan options and a good beer selection. I heard they are under new ownership by the folks who own Gumby’s, and I am super hopeful they will start having Gumby’s ranch for their pizza… Because it is amazing.

cute place with good pizza. I had the vegan pizza with mushrooms and it was good, but not the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. I wish they put less cheese since daiya cheese is really strong, but I’m definitely going back to try it again(maybe with more toppings or something.) my parents had a regular cheese pizza and a calzone which they both seemed to have enjoyed. employees are very nice. free refills!!!

Never had a bad pie at Decent. There are lots of good pizza options in the area, so the fact that we’re back at Decent again speaks volumes. Nothing fancy here. Just a great pizza and about five great draft choices.

Decent Pizza is good. I love that they use Bradly’s for their house sausage. It’s what makes them a solid three star for me. That is impressive. They get a three star from me for a few reasons, their crust is a little off for me. It can sometimes be undercooked when we get a specialty pie with more toppings on it. When we go to pick a pie up, it is almost never warm by the time we get back home with it. Even if we watched them pull it out of the oven as we paid! My BF place is very close so this is always so strange. No one likes to have their mouth burned with cheese, but if the pizza cannot hold it’s warmth, it isn’t being cooked all the way through. But really what annoys me is the lack of substitutions. Sometimes we want to trade out veggies on the Decently Supreme pizza. If we want to remove bell peppers for mushrooms, there is a charge. Not a slight«change fee» charge. A full charge as if we are adding the mushrooms. Now, I completely understand food prices vary. I would never ever expect to trade out a veggie for a meat without an up charge. However, if you want to change a meat for a veggie, there is still a charge. How can we not trade Pepperoni for mushrooms? They are really strict about this too. We go because my BF likes their pizza. If I had my way, I would check out the plethora of options in the area.

Should have listen to the name of the place and stayed away. They place is run down and old. Booths are all broken up and torn, dark ragged as you look all around. Usually pizza lunch specials are 2 slices and a drink for around $ 5. This place has one slice and a drink for around $ 8. Each individual slice is $ 4.25, again usually slices run for about $ 2-$ 3 for lunch. I ordered 2 slices and a drink, the slices were a good size, but paper thin. The pizza is crispy around the edges, but the taste is bland and the sauce is they got it out of a can in clearance. The slice had spotty places of cheese missing. For a college town, it’s way over priced for pizza… and as a pizza guru, this places isn’t worth it.

I love the name of Decent, so apropos. I have eaten at Decent since high school(which was a while ago…). It still tastes the same now as it did then. I ate there three times in one week(don’t ask…) and it was consistent, not the best pizza ever, but certainly hits the spot. I usually go for the classic pepperoni or cheese but we got the spinach cream pizza which had a great flavor as well. Pieces are huge, and the salads aren’t bad either. Overall, perfectly decent pizza.

Just as the name implies, it’s Decent Pizza. Several beer specials with pizza purchase. I enjoyed my slice for lunch, will return soon. ;)
