Dillard’s

This Dillard’s has a nice and large selection of high quality items. They have an excellent high end Cosmetics Department. That is mainly what I come here for especially the Estee Lauder counter! Everyone I’ve encountered has been extremely helpful.

I actually worked at this Dillard’s five years ago and returned just a couple weeks ago while visiting friends and family in Tallahassee. I think time has stopped at this store… I even saw some sales associates that I had worked with way back then.
Though I may not have enjoyed working here, I must admit this is a pretty nice department store. It has a good selection of higher-​end items for the Tallahassee area such as cosmetics, handbags, shoes, and women’s apparel.

My favorite sales girl has been replaced by some strange new girl at Estee Lauder When i asked where Hailey was, the new girl replied «Estee and Dillard’s decided i was a better fit». I let her do my makeup and there is no doubt that they made a horrible decision. It’s like she was reading from a book. After Hailey, it felt so unnatural. Yes, I want to learn, but i want good conversation. Will order online now. I called later to talk to James about it. He encouraged me to give the new girl another chance. I just don’t feel that accepting Jesus Christ into my heart had anything to do with my skin care and makeup. I wish i had Hailey’s number. I thought i had found a good makeup lady that i could trust. Sad.

My biggest pet peeve in a department store has always been trying to get rung up for your items. You see cashier stations throughout the store but when you need to check out, there is nobody around them to ring you up. Agghhh, drives me nuts to have to hunt down someone to pay. This store has a nice Cosmetic’s department.
I went in to check out the dress selection, and was disappointed. They did not have much to choose from as far as selection. And what they did have was hideous looking dresses. Around prom season they normally have some really pretty dresses but this time of the year nadda.
I did find a casual dress but again it took me forever to find someone to ring me up. Then when I got to the cashier they (two) behind counter were not that friendly. I guess they were not happy about working on the fourth. Basically rang me up, no thank you, no nothing.
I think I would skip this store next time.

I love this Dillards! If you are looking for a nice dress for a special occasion I highly recommend this Dillards. They have a great selection and wide variety of dresses. Now I didn’t really pay attention to the other areas of the store but the dress section alone derserves 5 stars! And the prices are very reasonable. They always have great sales so I would never purchase anything for the regular price.
