Meh, it was fine but a little busy/slow service and not inexpensive. Cuban was fine, just not stand-out in any way.

This place is amazing. I was not having a very good day when I walked into Jason’s this afternoon and it all changed when this amazing man Eric made me smile. They do more than just serve food. He truly is amazing and treats everyone with so much respect and love. Thank you Jason’s deli.

The food here is not bad nor outstanding. It is competitively priced, and includes unlimited free ice cream. They are mainly a soup and salad place but they do have a few other things. They also have a salad bar and as I said FREEICECREAM!

Every time I go here, I’m not disappointed. I always get he salad bar. Jason’s deli is one of the few places that have a great salad bar in Tallahassee. I’ve never had any of their sandwiches or soups because I love the salad so much, but my friends and family love those items. Tip: don’t forget the free ice cream when you leave!

First time customer here at Jason’s Deli. Trying it at 12:45 on a Sunday, the lobby was fun and there was a line to the door. I got the salad bar and a french onion soup, and would have boh again. The staff is clearly busy but I notice they take the time to make sure that every customer is satisfied and don’t look too bothered when I ask for a second or even third salad plate. I look forward to trying it again, but maybe not during lunch rush on a Sunday.

If you are Gluten Free stay away from this place! Have been a loyal patron of this chain for years. Stopped at the Tallahassee location while traveling. My partner and I ordered the gluten free Royale sandwich through the cashier who was very friendly. While waiting at the end of the line near the salad bar I overheard 2 employees making light of «gluten free» and laughing as they sneered at me. I waited another 5 minutes and the manager who appeared to over hear asked quite rudely«can i help you gentlemen?» I responded that we were just waiting for our to go order. He responded«you need to go to the front». We went to the front and our food was given to us shortly thereafter and we left. After eating the sandwich within 2 hours I had a bright red rash up and down my legs and feet and a severe migraine lasting a day and a half. This is my typical response after ingesting gluten. I would hate to think someone would purposely do that to a customer but it seems a bit to coincidental. Due to this I will not be eating at this restaurant again.

Dined in at Jason’s for the first time last night. Needless to say, I wasn’t expecting such a good meal. First off, the space is huge! They can probably fit 150 people for dinner. The cashier gave me a few suggestions, but I ended up going with the Manager’s Half-Sandwich Special. I ordered the«New York Yankee» mainly because it was called the New York Yankee(sometimes my biases get in the way, too). But this sandwich was loaded with hot corned beef and pastrami, Swiss cheese, all on toasted rye. The fattiness from the meats shined through, while the crisp rye provided the meat with a place to rest. Besides the cheese having nearly no flavor, this was an excellent sandwich. The special comes with a cup of soup, so I ordered the organic vegetable. Tender veggies in a tomatoey broth was fitting for a cool evening. The sweetness from the corn was delicious. But that’s not all. You’re allowed to get ice cream with your purchase… for free! Granted, it wasn’t the greatest vanilla/chocolate swirl of my life, but that’s still pretty freakin’ cool. A great meal for $ 9 and change!

Had a wonderful lunch here the other day! The food was delicious! I had a California Club and it tasted even better than it looked. The side of fruit was alright and the free ice cream was a fun treat. Indoor and outdoor seating, good central location, and hardly a wait for food. It was a little over priced, but affordable. Overall I really liked my experience here.

I used to be really impressed with this place, but after frequent visits, it lost its charm. You see it for what it truly is: just another casual café chain. Compared to a similar concept like Panera, this place is less comforting. It’s not somewhere you come with your computer to study or overview some documents while you eat. For me, it’s solely a quick-stop lunch spot(ideal for families with small children, because-you know-the complimentary ice cream!). And for what it is, I’d have to say I’m a fan. I come here for the salad bar, and I love it every time! About $ 8 or $ 9 depending on whether you add a cup of soup or not. You get a ticket. Bring it to the end of the bar, and they’ll serve you up a nice empty plate to fill with yummies! Once you’re done with that plate, bring it back up and exchange it for a fresh one. Easy-peasy! There is this Israeli couscous salad I put on every plate. Make your base, and add this on top. You won’t need anything else to dress it up. I put spinach/romaine, zucchini slices, broccoli, cucumbers, olives, and grape tomatoes before slapping it on. It’s great, too, because the weight of the couscous weighs the rest of the salad down.(You can rest assured nothing will go flying off your plate during transport, and it makes the salad easier to mix!) You can’t forget it: pick up some mini-muffins or bread crisps or add a pickle spear or hard-boiled egg on the side. If you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite out with your family, I say it can’t hurt to check this place! Bellies will be full. Sweet-tooth satisfied. And so will your wallet!

It’s not often that you find such exceptional customer service. Though the food was great, I’d wager a guess that people come back for the caring employees, who are very professional and happy to serve you.

I came here for dinner with my sister in law and fiancé. We all orders the same sandwich The Papa Joe– turkey, Asiago, roasted tomatoes, basil, mayo, and pesto, all on some delicious toasted focaccia bread! All of us loved the sandwich, it was delicious! The bread was perfectly toasted and the pesto was perfect with the turkey and tomatoes. It was a delicious and light sandwich, very refreshing. I ordered a soup as well, the broccoli and cheese soup. It reminded me a lot of the same soup from Panera, which isn’t a bad thing for me. It was very yummy and I would recommend it. They also provided crackers for the soups and some breath mints. Overall, this place is a very good option if you’re craving something light and filling. One great thing they have is a drive thru and you can call and order takeout. They have tasty food, decent prices, and really great service.

Update. We made a third trip back, as The Boy loves the sandwiches. I tried a simple roast beef on onion roll with lettuce. The roast beef was moist and had a good flavor, but the roll was a fail. They toasted the roll almost to the point of burning it. This gave the onions a bitter flavor. The roll is a mass-produced type that has a great deal of sugar and/or high fructose corn syrup in it, and the taste comes out clearly in the sandwich. It did not add to the flavor of the sandwich. I set the bread aside and ate the meat. I noted that the beef, while good, was a bit on the salty side. Chips came with the meal, and were fresh, but a bit salty. The temp in the restaurant was under better control this time, though the weather was cool, and the restrooms were in good condition. Food taste and quality seems to vary according to the time of day you go in to this restaurant, and quality is average. I can manage it, but I have had better sandwiches. If The Boy is going to want to keep coming back, I will have to see what else I can eat before I develop dyspepsia.

Bad experience. My wife and I could barely hear the cashier, told her so and she responded w/annoyance. We had to bus our own table and wipe it off, ours was one of about 6 – 8 dirty tables and the wait was 16 mins for our sandwiches. I timed it. Rough.

Though I always seem to have the salad bar, and go there for the kids so they can get ice-cream after their meal, I find the food and service to be consistent and pleasant. I have had a selection of their sandwiches from catering events, and they have been good, but the ones in the restaurant look so much better! I am going to have to change my routine up a bit. :) This is a nice, inexpensive option for a quick and tasty meal.

— I think Jason’s deli offers the best salad bar in town. The Muffaletta’s are phenomenally large. They’re not my favorite. Baked Potato entrees are equally proportioned. Soups are consistently good, and the sandwiches that aren’t «the standards» have been thoughtfully considered and delivered on a plate.

Good spot — good food. Tastes fresh and prepared in house. Good options for the salad bar. Good alternative to Sweet Tomatoes. Free ice cream. can’t go wrong with that, though the last few times I’ve been in there they have been out of ice cream cones!

This 3 star is to Mediterranean wrap. One bite was enough to convince me that it’s a good wrap. Although cucumber and black olive coming through a lot but I was unexpectedly pleased how fresh everything was. It was rather dry so ask for more hummus. The space of this fast casual boutique restaurant chain was cute and fresh like Panera Bread. Many other dishes I saw were very promising, tomato soup was really hearty and tasty. Oh! Don’t forget to enjoy help yourself free soft cream(see my photo). Great for lunch!

It’s like they are trying to starve you to make you think the food is good. The southwest chicken chili was to be topped with sour cream, green onions and cheddar cheese. Wish they had not told me that is the way it was supposed to come and I would not have been disappointed! I had to send my pastrami meltdown back — after waiting 40 minutes– because I’d specifically asked for no mayo. After I sent it back, it came out without the mayo. The sandwich I’d waited so patiently for was fatty, stringy and flavorless. I know good pastrami and this was not it! Jenna, one of The service managers did not ask ME how my meal was even though she approached the two guys next to me! Shucks, I wanted to give her an earfull! Out of four tables around me, 3 had problems with their orders. Jenna just happened to ask the one table that had no problem and they chatted her up.(she is from Winter Haven & travels between Gainesville and TLH) She didn’t ask any others around how things were. Now, she is going to have a skewed view of Jason’s Deli. If I go back, it will only be for the salad bar.
