Such a great place to eat. The subs are huge and delicious! The whole wheat buns are amazing. I remember when I used to live in Tallhassee and Kost’s first opened. It was an amazing taste! Now, decades later, they are still in business and still making great food. That speak for itself! Yummmm!!!

This place looks closed but don’t let the parking lot fool you. Inside you’ll find friendly people willing to walk you through the menu. It’s been years since I’ve been here and knew that I wanted a chicken salad sandwich. They have so much more than subs. They have beef and chicken kabob lunches that come with a salad and rice, falafels and more. I ordered the black beans and rice to go with my sandwich and found then seasoned with a lot of Greek seasoning and oregano, which I was not expecting but wasn’t unpleasant when I got used to it. My chicken salad was nestled in a large wheat sub roll. They put the lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers(whatever salad stuff you want) on it first. My large sub had only 3 small scoops of chicken salad and I thought he was going to put 4. It really needed the additional scoop. Then the spread the chicken over the salad bottom and topped with cheese. The chicken was good and flavorful but I think it was missing celery seed that they used to put in it. The bread was very good and I’d order the chicken again but the smaller sandwich — where I’d probably get two scoops of salad. I also ordered a baklava for desert. The one I grabbed was a little tough.

Delicious and authentic. Ingredients are fresh and the menu items are delicious. It’s not a fancy joint by any means, but cost is fair. This is THE only place in Tally for a gyro(traditional lamb & chicken)! Locally owned which is always a plus. Check them out!!!

Kosta’s is a great family owned restaurant that has the best Mediterranean food this side of I10. The food is good, fresh, prices are reasonable, and less than half a mile from the Capital. Souvlaki, falafel, gyros Greek salads, vegetarian pitas, baklava, and chocolate tort are freshly prepared and delicious.

When I used to spend a lot of time over at Railroad Square and used to live in this area, I would always frequent this sub shop. I love their Chicken Salad Sandwich because they use great mayo and lots of black pepper for seasoning. All of the veggies are fresh and many of their salad dressing are made in house. I have never had a bad sandwich here, nor a bad experience. In my opinion, this is the best family owned sub shop in Kackalakee. Whenever I would go to a potluck, I would call ahead and pick up one of their party size Greek Salads from their catering menu. It was always a hit, and the dressing was amazing as well as the Feta.
