Delicious wings. A bit pricy but definitely worth it! :) they’re jalapeño poppers are my favorite. They also offer a fun cheesecake dessert. I’ve had a few meals catered by them before and the wings always come out great. They have about 5 – 6 wing flavors to choose from and they’re pretty standard flavors.

Now I have tried the Philly cheesesteak. I have never done the Pat’s vs. Geno’s challenge in Philly, but I did have a buddy from the Philly area who turned me on to Scafidi’s many years ago when they were down in Woodville. Their’s were so good that they are the standard from which I judge all cheesesteaks. Salty Dawg’s cheesesteak is so so. It was good, but not great. I do better getting the folks in the Publix deli to make one for me the way I like it. I’ll stick with their great hamburgers from here on out.

Everything you want in a family pub. Darts, pool, tv’s and great pub food. I love to mix garlic Parmesan and lemon pepper on wings! More taps would be great, but they have all the classic American pils. One of the few places in town you can get an awesome sub, fries and beer. Really, sounds simple, but harder to find than you’d expect. The jukebox cranks out some great tunes, too. They’ve been in business for over 25 years and know exactly how to do it. Cheers to 25 more!

Best Wings in town my favorite are the lemon pepper. Love the burgers and sandwiches and they have great fries. Nice place to just hang out.

Best kept secret place in Tallahassee where«everybody knows your name!» Great people running and working there, delicious food, loads of fun. They make the best patty melts anywhere. Their burgers, subs, and hot dogs are delicious. They make a great grilled chicken salad too. We love the Salty Dog!

4÷22÷15 — After a busy day we wanted wings and beer with the family, having enjoyed their wings previously although service sometimes has been slow. Very nice young waitress took our order and quoted pitcher prices, and we ordered probably $ 35 of food and drinks with a pitcher. Well, the server comes back after we had started sipping our drinks and said that she had the price wrong on the beer we ordered and that she would have to charge us $ 2 more per her manager. We asked to speak with the manager, and when she finally came to the table we asked her to honor the quoted price, but she said if she did that she would have to charge the server for the difference. Now that was not our intention. What we reasonably thought should happen was that the manager should have apologized for the server’s error and let it go. Instead, she was content to let us walk out(which we did), had to pour out the«improperly priced» pitcher of beer, and probably already had the wings and fries we ordered cooking. This was the worst example of customer service from a restaurant manager I have ever seen. We will not darken their door again.

Best best best chicken wings in town. Crispy and cooked through. Hot ones are hot, lemon garlic ones are lemony. I don’t go anywhere else when I want wing. Plus 16 oz PBR in an icy mug for $ 2. It doesn’t get any better. Their Rueben sandwich and Philly Cheesesteaks are excellent too. Some nights have Kareoke singing which can be questionable! But still fun. It is located next to a WinnDixie and a Family Dollar store but still has ambiance

I waited a few days after the experience, and I still feel the same way so I thought I’d go ahead and write a review. I used to live in Tallahassee(born, raised, family, etc…), and I have been a regular at Salty Dawg off and on for the last 15 years. We moved away in 2011 and just moved back home this past Friday, June 2014. We live just about a mile from Salty Dog and it was the first place we hit! Nothing like feeling at home after being away!!! That is NOT what happened… I walked in and(since we weren’t staying long) I ordered 20 wings at the«to-go» register and then went in to meet some friends inside and have a beer while I waited. I got myself a Yuengling for $ 2 and tipped $ 1. Awesome!!! I just moved from the DC Metro area and beer starts at about $ 4 for the cheapest stuff they have at Happy Hour. Then I walked over to the table my friends were sitting at and lifted my beer to have my first drink. They all started yelling at once, «Stop! Don’t drink that. There is a crack in the mug». Then they said that I should go to the bar and request a new one. I walked up to the bar, told the lady what just happened and she informed me that it was only a crack and it wouldn’t hurt me. Ummm??? Wow! I said that I would really like a new mug since it was cracked. She took the mug, POUREDTHEBEERINTOANOTHERMUG, and handed it back to me. I stood there in shock for a few seconds and then came to my senses. I said, «I’d really just like a new beer, please». She said«NO». Then she took my beer, turned around, poured it out, handed me my $ 3 back and that was it. What just happened? I was in shock for another moment and then said, «So, can I order another beer»? She said no and asked me to leave. I had a wing order so I asked for a refund on that. She refunded that $ 20 order that was almost done cooking. All my friends had seen what happened, they rescinded their most recent drink order and left!(My friends are awesome!!!) We all left, and went to Sid’s. Sid was standing outside when we arrived and we told him what happened — he gave us all a round on the house to cheer us up from what happened with his nasty neighbor. What a guy!!! I am terribly sad to say that I won’t be going down to the local bar that has been one of my favorites for years. Instead, I’ll be sticking to Sid’s and Just One More. As a last note I’d like to mention that after leaving a friend informed me that the woman who treated me that way was THEOWNEROFSALTYDAWG!

Great Hot wings along with attentive service. As a matter fact, I’ve never had anything from their menu that was bad. Family atmosphere and entertainment. Pool tables, darts, plenty to do.

Negatives– they have karaōke on weekend nights so come prepared for a little off pitched singing while you eat or just do takeout. Also, they do not serve liquor. I know it is weird for people to sing karaōke without some shots but… it is done. Who knew!!! Positives– The wings… OMG the wings. If you ask nicely, they will toss your fries in with the lemon pepper sauce. It is awesome!!! If you want to go somewhere for fries, wings, and casual foods and not dress up, this is your place. For my full review, got to

For a dive bar, it’s pretty decent. They have 4 coin-op pool tables that are in decent condition for bar tables. Their food is above average. I’ve had their subs on a few occasions, and while it was decent tasting, I was disappointed by the size of it. The wait staff has always been very friendly here. However, my biggest gripe is that it always seems like they are understaffed by at least one employee. Almost every time I’ve been here for pool league, the place is slammed with people. When I go up to the bar to order a drink, it ends up taking me about 10 minutes just to order since the staff is so busy attending to other customers. Another small gripe I have is the fact that they advertise a special«discount» on wings on Tuesday. For the low low price of 59 cents a wing… what? I see 50 cent wings advertised all over the place. I’ve even been to a few places that offered 25 cent wings on certain days. 59 cent per wing is not a very good deal at all. To add insult to injury, they also tell you that you can’t do call in orders on the wing deal, you can’t have any doggie bags for it, AND you can only order in increments of 10 wings. Their wing«special» all of a sudden doesn’t seem so «special» anymore…

One of the best Philly cheese steaks I’ve ever had. Friendly service. It’s in the shopping mall with Winn-Dixie and doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the inside has a nice pub feel.

Great basic food, good prices on beer, wait staff used to be friendlier. Food sometimes takes a while to arrive but this is outweighed by the pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere.
