A breakfast/​brunch place that doesn’t have PANCAKES on the menu?! Isn’t that like an ice cream shop without vanilla?!? They have some specialty items that are popular but one needs to cover the basics. I went there planning to carb-​out with pancakes to find they don’t serve them. It was like going to Sonny’s and finding out they didn’t have barbecue. Crazy…

I can’t keep track of how many bakeries I’ve been to in my lifetime & I’ve been to Tasty Pastry more than once. In my opinion this place isn’t bad but it’s not great either. The service is good & they have a good variety of pastries but the taste is average. Maybe I need to try one of their made to order cakes since that’s what a lot of the good reviews seem to be referring to.
If you decide to order a cake from Tasty Pastry & you wouldn’t mind sharing, please let me know so I can try some & give the bakery a more precise review.

Definitely our families favorite bakery! Every birthday and holiday cake comes from here. We pretty much love everything they have and we always get the basket flower birthday cake for birthdays!

My favorite Tallahassee area bakery. They always have pistachio muffins which is an automatic four stars in my book. Tasty offers a wide variety of bars, brownies, muffins, and cookies so you are never disappointed when dropping by to satisfy a sweet tooth. The staff is always helpful and I never miss a chance to drop in and get something sweet to eat whenever I’m in the capitol city. I have not used their cake baking services so I cannot comment on their catering services.

I have to rate this because it is the best red velvet cake I’ve ever had. I always try red velvet wherever I go too. I miss Tallahassee all the time because of this cake. It is so perfect and the icing defies the laws of nature and is always perfect. It’s a must try. :)

There is a reason they’ve been in business so long! Tasty Pastry makes amazing cakes! Whenever I had a birthday or special occasion, I’d order my cake here. My particular favorite is chocolate cake with chocolate ganache/​mousse filling and cream cheese icing.
Almost everything in their display case is amazing too, especially the petits fours. The cookies aren’t amazing, however.

Their cupcakes are delicious. However, they just raised their prices to $ 3.50 a cupcake, which is ridiculous. Even the famous Magnolia bakery in NY doesn’t charge that much. I literally go and get cupcakes 3x a week and will be going back to Lucy & Leo’s where the prices are better.

Tasty Pastry is a wonderful bakery. I got hooked on Tasty Pastry when they did a fantastic job with my wedding cake, and I’ve since found that pretty much anything they sell is great. They’re also the only place in town that I’ve found that sells Mochassippis (Community Coffee’s version of the the Frappachino). Tasty Pastry finally earned a rave review from me today when I picked up a special order king cake from them. Being from Louisiana, I was skeptical of their ability to produce one of my state’s delicacies, but they nailed it (sure, it was no Randazzo’s or Haydel’s, but hey, it was damn good for a king cake made by outsiders). Tasty Pastry rocks.

I’ve only been there a handful of times, but I can honestly say that they make the BEST cupcakes I’ve ever had (suprisingly enough, Tallahasse has several good cupcake bakeries). I recommend the chocolate mousse cupcake. The cupcake is perfectly moist and the topping is real chocolate mousse! They also make very good bagels from scratch (the real jewish deli style to boot… boiling first, then baking). The customer service is also outstanding. Once again, try the jumbo cupcakes… you will thank me!

I love their cakes! They have been in business as long as I can remember, and every local loves going here. The store is always busy, but you get served quickly, which is great since the shop is quite small. The cookies are wonderfully decorated and every kid loves picking out their favorite!
