Bring back the banana flavor! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!! Or else. Great place, love it, frequent customer.

The froyo is fine. But I would appreciate it if the girl working tonight had at least a minimum sense of sanitation. She grabbed a rag, wipes around the garbage can with the rag, then moves to wipe down the tables with the same rag. People walk into the store, without washing hands she drops the rag and grabs tasting cups to give them. Disgusting.

I imagine it must be tough to set your company apart in a buffet style production of frozen yogurt. Alas, many have tried in the great city of Tallahassee with multiple options located in all parts of town, yet despite distance or determination, I have found the content to be extremely similar. In fact, after visiting YOMO this past evening I spent some time reflecting on what could possibly set this business apart. Based on product alone, Yogurt Mountain has pretty good flavors, your usual spread of toppings with a few more thrown in there than other froyo establishments, and oversized cups that entice customers to buy into the«fill-your-plate» mentality to easily generate a high bill. Nevertheless, every time I have climbed this mountain of frozen treats there seems to be a serious fan base. Therefore, I believe that the key to Yogurt Mountain’s success is their location and their marketability, but I would disagree that their flavor profile or staff provide that x-factor to earn a five star rating. I would argue that the majority of this customer base comes from FSU students. Why? Two reasons. First, Tennessee St. is the main drag that incoming students travel on their way to FSU, and YOMO is visible from the road so immediately students registered this as the main location for all of their yogurt with ice needs. Second, Chipotle. FSU students seem almost addicted to the burrito bowls, and it is conveniently located next door to Yogurt Mountain, which I agree always seems like a great idea to cool down the tabasco burn from next door. As for marketability, I have used the term YOMO multiple times in this review, which if you were not aware is a nickname for Yogurt Mountain. At least in my friend group, this catchy nickname is approaching the same utility as Coke when referring to a soda in the south. Why 3 stars? My suggestions to improving Yogurt Mountain starts with the staff. I am not necessarily saying that I had a terrible experience when I walked in the door, but an excited engagement would have been appreciated rather than just being handed sample cups with no comments and no eye contact. Additionally, Wednesdays include a wheel for customers to spend for discounts. I think this is a very neat idea that I have never seen anywhere else in the yogurt game, but much like free food at the end of a friend’s Thanksgiving dinner, this wheel is only available to you if you notice and ask about it. Otherwise, like happened to me, I asked about it after I had already paid and was informed that I missed out and if I wanted to access its glory I would have to make another purchase. All I am saying is take care of your customers and they will take care of you because mass produced frozen yogurt can only take a business so far. I will be interested to return in the future to see if any changes have been made, but I do encourage others reading this to give Yogurt Mountain a try as I am interested to see if my experience was an example or an anomaly.

If there’s anything you need to know about me, I can be pretty picky. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way. YoMo always has at least one flavor I enjoy very much. The topping selection is vast. I like to think that I’m somewhat being healthy when I opt for frozen yogurt over ice cream, but I’ll be honest. All those topping options destroy any possibility of me successfully following a diet. I’m not a fan of their points or whatever system it is they use to track visits for free yogurt. I believe you have to redeem it every 10 visits and I checked in past my 10th so I’m not sure that I get to redeem it? :(

Showed up at 12:20am when it clearly says 1:00am and the doors were locked and the employees just looked at us… Never come here! Want to put zero stars…

Honestly this yogurt is just not very good, and I can say that with pretty good confidence that I’m not just making it up. I get Froyo pretty much everywhere and this froyo is just gross. It lacks flavor and tastes icy which is just NOT how froyo should be. Of course the business will constantly be at Yogurt Mountain because of its location, and yes, they do offer a variety of flavors, but none are the creamy, delicious and smooth flavors that I expect from frozen yogurt. The pricing is comparable with other froyo joints and this place is insanely busy at night. Think a ton of college kids eating mediocre yogurt. I would rather go to Nuberri.

WARNING: this is a franchise location. They will NOT accept yogurt mountain text club coupons. Staff was not very concerned when I raised issue to this fact and were rather dismissive. The manager should better teach them about treating the customer well. Due to this dishonesty I would not go back or recommend.

Maybe this place is exceptional for those who have never gone to a fro-yo place but I have to say, coming from the kingdom of South Florida where Yogurtland reigns over all and there’s a friend-to place on every corner… I’m not really impressed. Ok variety on flavors and toppings. Good service. It does the trick.

Best frozen yogurt in Tallahassee, hands down. I don’t know how people could motivate themselves to go anywhere else. The only thing that would make this place stellar is longer hours, so people can go here after a night out to relax and have some awesome frozen yogurt.

So you’re on a diet. Just left Gold’s Gym and your stomach rumbles. You see the purple and green sign and you must side swipe traffic and pull into one of the compact parking spots. I mean frozen yogurt is better then ice cream!(It actually isn’t!) But I’m on a diet and it makes me feel better. This place has so many flavors and so many options when it comes to toppings. So let everyone customize their own treats. My favorites: Cheesecake and Red velvet yogurt. Toppings: nuts, hot caramel or hot fudge, crushed candy bars, strawberries, brownie bits, cheesecake, and mini waffle cones.(Ok I don’t put all that on there… most of the time).

Tons of different flavors, they rotate every so often. I am not really a sweet tooth type of person but I can’t get enough of their espresso flavor. They have a variety of toppings ranging from pretzels to blueberries to brownies. It is self serving and is measured by the weight. It definitely is a popular spot for college students. It is also a great dessert after Chipotle next door.
