I can’t believe I have to make a Unilocal account for this but I really felt that I needed to share my experience. I had been doing my own hair for months(coloring and cutting) and I thought I treat myself this time on my day off since I’d been working hard. I have called several salons(ones with amazing reviews) but they were booked solid seeing as it was a holiday weekend. I called up BTB and at the time I was so glad to find out they had an opening that day. So I got to the place and it was empty. I was greeted and seated by Ruby. She asked me what I wanted done and after telling her what I thought, she showed me some pictures of amazing ombres on Pinterest. After discussing it a bit, she started working on my hair. During the process, I asked about what she was doing and she casually mentioned that she was doing a «shortcut» for my ombré. Not what I wanted to hear and it made me nervous a little. But as someone who has 13 years of experience in the industry, I just assumed she knew what she was doing. After rinsing and applying the toner, she started to blow dry my hair and just as quickly realized that it didn’t look right. So she asked me if I wanted to apply another toner, a darker one. I obviously agreed since I could see that my hair was looking a mess. I had been there for over 3 hours and at that point I really just wanted to get out of there except I can’t leave with wet and messed up hair. After the second toner, I got my hair blow dried again. I can tell it was late since another lady decided to help dry my hair. She even said, «Well, it looks good once it’s set and done.» I was really over it by the end of the day and had somewhere to be since I did ask in the beginning if I would be done by 6pm. I was told that I should be done around that time. I don’t know what the heck the final result is called but it is not ombré. I’m never one to not pay after a service(no matter how bad) even though looking back at it and after talking to others, I guess I shouldn’t have. This mess cost me $ 270 dollars including two products(shampoo and conditioner). I’ve had terrible luck with salons and this is by far my worst one. I left with crazy looking«ombré» and hair too light with green tint. The hair pictures that she showed me in the beginning had beautiful gradient effect that transitions from dark to light. That’s not what I got at all as you can see from the pictures. They have told me I had beautiful hair, well… thanks for ruining it. Never going back here again.

I went to blink twice beauty on a groupon and I had Ruby. She did an excellent job on my hair! Exactly what I wanted. The inside a little lack luster for my taste, the colors and décor wasn’t top notch for me. But all in all a very great place to be. Would definitely go back. Also my blow out she did was fantastic and didn’t even charge me to straighten it

Love this salon! Missi makes sure that you feel welcome and comfortable. Missi listens to what you want and remembers how you like to have your hair done. I came to Missi with streaks of all kinds of different colors from another salon, and she took the time to discuss my hair and how I wanted it to look and what color would look best with my skin/face shape. I’ve never gotten so many compliments, and I’ve never been so happy with how my hair looks. I’m also looking forward to checking out the new professional makeup/hair/photography package they have, and will update after.
