Delicious concept! Fast, affordable Vietnamese… finally comes to South TAMPA! I was surprised by the veggie ragout stew with tofu, shiitake mushrooms, edamame, carrots, okra in a coconut miso broth. It even had that sweet egg tofu that they normally serve for dessert in the stew too. Perfect little covered patio. Great for summer days. And they welcome pups! Can’t wait to come back.

This is a really cool and casual to-go restaurant. Loved the call ahead and order, and when I arrived they brought it out to my car!(especially helpful with little ones in the car) I ordered the chicken phở and the bahn mi sandwich. Both were good. If you are a true phở lover order extra broth. They add the rice noodles in the phở which pretty much expand on the way home soaking up all the broth. Still good. Will definitely go back. The convenience is everything!

I was feeling like banh mi but didn’t want to drive up to Waters. BT to go to the rescue! It’s basically what you’d expect casual Vietnamese to be in south Tampa. It’s cpntemporary, organic, clean, and double the price of any place in Waters. I had the On the Street banh mi and a green tea limeade. The sandwich was good, a sanitized version of a traditional banh mi. The drink was awesome but pricey. I will return the next time I crave Vietnamese food but don’t have time to drive further north.

I just went to BT To Go with my mother for lunch and we were disappointed. When they say«to go» they really mean«to go» seeing how there is only one table inside and it’s some sort of weird communal table. Strike two was the extremely high pricing for Phở which, let’s face it, is a bowl of Vietnamese soup. They had one serving size which was very large and it was $ 13. The chicken was dry, it was loaded with bean sprouts and didn’t have nearly enough flavor. Strike 3 was the fact they didn’t have soda. And when we asked for soda they offered us jasmine tea and jasmine tea does not a soda make. Then we asked for water and the only water they had was Fiji Water for $ 5.

I’ve only tried the phở. It’s missing fish sauce. It’s extremely over priced and you have to pay before you eat. There is a sign outside that says«please bring empty dishes inside.» You’ve got to be kidding me. 13 bucks a bowl that you pay for before you eat. Shows you how much they care about feed back. «We want you to pay before because we know you’ll complain. Well just ignore it because we got ours.» That’s what I hear from places like that. I ordered a water and didn’t get any water either. I got soup but no soup spoon. Yes, I did eat it all. I don’t like wasting food. It was like eating noodles in licorice water. They need to remove that from the menu if they want to clam«authentic». Now I’m going to find a real phở restaurant.

Upon entry the first thing you’ll notice is the décor. It’s rather cramp and not much places to sit and eat but then again it’s call called BT to go so it’s more of a take and go. Very modern atmosphere… Imagine IKEA+phở. On to the food. I had a beef Phở. I always order a phở when I check out a new viet Resturant… Let’s call it the baseline. Speaking of the baseline… The phở broth… Is a fail. At first glance, it looks good but I took my first sip and it tasted like beef broth water. So ok, I’m thinking. Maybe I need to mix it up first and add some Siracha… And 10 min later still the same flat watery tasting broth. By far worst phở brother ever… For ever ever? YUP. The second thing I ordered was the pork bahn mi. Average size and not bad flavor… To be honest it’s why I gave it the extra 1 star. Otherwise it would of been a 1 star. So to wrap it up… Phở-thetic but bahn-lecious. I would stop by again for the bahn mi… And that alone.

Delicious prepared sandwiches and dishes. Quick service, friendly staff, convenient parking. BT To Go has it all! Not to mention it’s only a couple blocks from my home.

Love this easy in and out location. It’s not your cheap Vietnamese jam. For those of us who have chosen not to eat too many land animals, this is a total win. This is the only place I would really trust to maintain the authenticity of French– Vietnamese with actual vegetarian fare. Tofu Bahn-Mi is amazing.

If you don’t have the time to kick back at BT this is the next best thing. Same great quality but on the go or grab a seat and enjoy the terrace. Very friendly staff too.

Food: my girlfriend brought me some chicken bahn mi from this place, and it was amazing. Quality: this place serves hygienic food that is healthy and light on the stomach Price: while the prices are a bit higher compared to fast food chains or similar takeout restaurants, given the quality and taste, the price doesn’t hurt much. We paid, for example, $ 8.95 for chicken bahn mi. This joint serves all — organic food. Ambience: the place is pretty simple; nothing extraordinary. But then it’s a takeout place. So. nothing to complain. Cleanliness: the place is well-arranged, neat and properly — managed. In a nutshell, we are happy to have found yet another takeout place that doesn’t make us guilty after a hearty meal.

I’m sorry, but I’m not impressed. It’s very pricey for phở and the noodles are thick, sort of like fettuccini. It’s also an extra 50 cents if you ask for peanut sauce. I’ve been a huge fan of phở for years now, but I won’t be coming back to this spot.

BT To Go is the sister restaurant to Restaurant BT, located less than a mile away. Chef BT Nguyen opened BT To Go in order to provide more options for restaurant patrons who wanted a quick bite and lunch items not available during the dinner hours. The restaurant is simply decorated in a modern style. There is limited interior and patio seating. There is a refrigerated case where you can quickly pick up dishes if you choose to walk-in instead of ordering ahead. I ordered the Shrimp Fresh Rolls and the Bún(Rice Vermicelli Salad) Bowl with Pork. Both dishes were very good. The Chili and Peanut sauce accompanying the Fresh Rolls was very savory and I hope I remember to order an extra one next time I am in. The Bún was delicious. It was very light and fresh. The portion was more than generous and I was able to have it for both lunch and dinner. Lauren was the staff member on duty and was very friendly on the phone while taking my order and ringing me up. Prices here are quite a bit higher than most of the traditional Vietnamese restaurants, but I don’t mind paying for the convenience of the location. Also, there is a very limited beverage selection. I will definitely return to try out some of the other dishes offered and order the phở next time!

Been a fan of BT’s food for years and have been looking forward to her newest endeavor. Being able to get gourmand level food without sitting for two hours and to get it to go sounds too good to be true. However it is true. My first trip I left with a foie gras banh mi which was heavenly and spring rolls(similar to what’s at BT). Otherwise the menu is pretty different. Banh mi, salads, soup, appetizers, phở and«pre-made/packaged» entrees. I’m jazzed to work my way down the menu and hopefully new items will be introduced over time. Nice small space with a few tables to sit inside and outside. Great addition to south Tampa!

Finding really flavorful ready-to-eat foods that are well portioned, well presented and well done is not easy. And typically, not cheap. But if paying prices for takeout orders that are above fast-food levels for dishes that are quite superior to most fast-food options seems a reasonable trade off, then check out BT To Go. Just a few blocks from the full service restaurant BT, this is a small outpost that features a few seats on the outdoor deck and one communal table inside. It primarily caters to those who want to to eat elsewhere. The menu features seasonal selections along with vegetarian options but also sports seafood, poultry and beef items. They even offer some tempting beverages that could be reason enough to stop — green tea limeade is a must-try for my next visit. The service was quite polite and the food was quickly prepared and presented. For those in an even bigger hurry, orders and payments can be made online and the food brought out to your car when it is ready. It does not get any easier or more efficient than that. I like the freshness of the ingredients that make each bite a bust of flavor. And the quality of ingredients that include organic chicken, brown rise and organic tofu and house-made components like pork terrine, are treats for your wellness and well-being.

Ordered the Back Street Bahn Mi to go last night from the new BT to go. They do have a small sitting area if you choose to eat there. The Bahn Mi was quite large brimming with pork, veggies and tons of cilantro. It was great! I love Bahn Mi, it’s one of my favorite sandwiches and I have done my best to seek out and try every place that serves it in the Tampa Bay area. That being said, this is not by favorite Bahn Mi but it is definitely worth trying. I live in South Tampa so this is the closest place I can go to get one. Will definitely visit again. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu!

Why 5 stars? Because this is my new favorite lunch spot in South Tampa! — — — I am so excited for this place! It was one of the best meals I’ve had in Tampa in quite some time. I’d only been to Restaurant BT once, and loved it, so I was pumped to find a cheaper, lunch alternative. I tried a shrimp roll, a pork banh mi sandwich, and some vietnamese coffee. All three were the best I’ve ever had. Every bite and sip of each was better than the one before. As I was enjoying this heavenly experience, I was imagining Chef BT in the back performing food science projects with NASA-level funding, in an effort to preserve the life span of citizens by 10-fold by eating perfect food. I can confidently say now that I’ll live to be 800. If you’re just looking to pick up some take-out, there are freshly prepared/packaged meals waiting for you to take home and heat up! If you’ve ever gone to a Fitlife Foods, it’s very similar to that concept, without that annoying D word(diet) associated :) Chef — you are a genius. I’m so glad you have doubled your restaurant total!

Do you crave fresh, delicious and local? Go here. BT Nguyen is the friendly, talented chef that rocks this spot. The original location is right near this quick version, and both are an updated take on classic French-Vietnamese cuisine. This spot is the quick fix or take home for meals during the week. There is one long community table inside and some small tables on the porch out front. We headed in yesterday for a late lunch fix and I was blown away by the flavors. From the iced Vietnamese coffee to the Bun noodle bowl, I was beyond satisfied. We each had a Fresh Shrimp Roll with Gulf shrimp, mixed herbs, bean sprouts, lettuce, with a tamarind-hoisin-peanut sauce and they were so crisp. The sauce made them for sure, delicious blend. I feasted(read: sucked it down like a hoover) on the«BUN» Noodle Salad Bowl with Rice vermicelli, mixed herbs, lettuce, bean sprouts, cucumber, daikon radish, roasted peanuts, shallots, nuoc mam with Galangal chicken. I was so into this dish that as I was chatting with Brett I was totally eating with my mouth full, Sorry, Brett(not really tho). BT was there and she was lovely. Can’t wait to check out the original spot when I return. If their ToGo has me this happy, I can only imagine.

Solid 3 stars. Don’t get me wrong, the food is very good but the noodles were cold and it’s expensive — $ 12 for a bun bowl is a much higher price than what you would pay at most other Viet restos. It may be a better bun bowl than some places in Tampa but not all of them. If the noodles were at least warm, I probably would give this place 4 stars. It was very filling. The green tea limeade was also very good but $ 4 for a tiny bottle is a little much. For a small to-go restaurant, there’s adequate seating. One large table which seats 10 and 5 tables on their porch. Service was friendly. The restaurant is new and clean. Plenty of freshly made items in the display cooler to grab and go or if you’re dining in, there are more options on the menu.

Much of the same BT menu but with a fast-casual eat in or take out. There is one community table inside and a couple of small tables outside the entry. Can get their tasty and healthy menu items quickly to eat in or to go as most seem to do. Menu includes Phở, stews, soups, sandwich or meals to go. Great addition to the area.
