One of my favorite places to take out of town guests. LOVE the private booths. Hands down, best cocktail menu in Tampa. Food is great too, but for me, this place is all about the drinks and atmosphere. Best and most authentic Mai Tai I’ve ever had. I order it(along with multiple other concoctions) every visit. Check this place out! Such a gem!

Easily the best speak-easy I’ve seen in the US. You should call in advance for the daily password, and knock loudly(& repeatedly) at the door. $ 5 valet is worth it, especially during Tampa’s rainy winters. Matt(bartender) makes killer cocktails, and if you can get there during the happy hour(5 – 7) they are only $ 7. Very attentive and friendly. Dark ambiance and swanky jazz are perfect for a date, after-dinner drinks, or a late night rendezvous… My highest recommendation.

Ciro’s is a great vibe. Unique cocktails & culinary delights abound! Must haves include: Duck fries, truffles popcorn, fondue, scallops, charred octopus… Oh…my…word!

Drinks were good but exclusive… Would have been nice to know that the kitchen closed @ 1… I’m still not sure who our waiter or waitress was but neither told our 12;30 party the kitchen closed… All liquored up and NO food … Interesting atmosphere thought for a group.

I went with a few friends to celebrate a birthday and was all decked out in theme like a true 1920’s flapper. The food was exotic, but really good and different. I sipped on mojitos and ordered the chicken with waffles as my meal. I am f m NYC and I have to say this place was fabulous!!!

My only gripes are the parking as you can only valet and that we were sat by the front door and it was still light out when we came so the sun blinded us every time someone opened the door. The food and crafted drinks were fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for better cocktails. The fondue was my favorite. The food is shareable so it’s best to order one plate per person and share. I’d come back for a special occasion

Love love LOVE this place. If you’re a fan of anything prohibition, amazing creative tapas, and hand crafted exquisite unique cocktails then this place is for you. After moving to California this is my go to joint whenever I’m back in town … Speaking of, I’m going tonight ! Ambience is great … Small secluded dark romantically lit booths with little curtains adds the extra touch. Don’t forget the password at the door!

It was a great experience. Ciro’s is a small place, but full of charm, mystery, and a great ambiance. If you can reserve one of its suites, it will make it an even better experience. The drinks are delicious and very well done, although prepare yourself for an expensive night! But it’s really worth it. The service is excellent. The music is really cool, mixing lounge music with 20’s music. Not a lot of light inside, but it’s on purpose, makes it very mysterious and wakes up your senses. a unique experience!

I wanted a chill place to grab a couple drinks and decided to come here with a friend. There was no street parking so valet is the only option. We walked up to a locked door and after knocking, a large peephole opened asking for the password. I called when we were 5 min away to get the password, but I’m sure even if you didn’t have it they would let you in? Since we didn’t have reservations, we went to the bar area which was small and packed. Luckily, we hovered enough that we were able to score 2 seats! The bartender was superrrr friendly and helpful, willing to answer any questions we had. I absolutely love egg whites in cocktails(sounds disgusting, I know) but it makes the drink so frothy and light! For our first round I ordered Ramos Gin Fizz and my friend ordered the Strawberry Gentleman. SOGOOD. For our second round, she ordered another fruity drink that was refreshing(the name escapes me) and I asked the bartender for something fruity and he whipped me up something delicious. Prices were about $ 11 – 12 which is expected. However, I found the drinks to be on the weaker side. Cool place to come for drinks, but I’d recommend making reservations so you’re guaranteed a table!

I visited Ciro’s-speakeasy yesterday for happy hour with about eight friends. Their happy hour ends at seven during the week and includes seven cocktails for $ 7 and three appetizers for $ 3. You have to call ahead to get a password in order to enter and you have to say that password before you are allowed in. I ordered a drink with absinthe liquor and champagne. It was good but tasted too much like licorice for me. The popcorn and french fries on the appetizer special we’re good and they were huge portions. They have seating areas with curtains for privacy. A group of eight girls and alcohol was apparently too much for them as we almost got thrown out for being too loud. I would not recommend this for a ladies happy hour spots.

Very well thought out concept that delivers what they are selling! Love this place. Make a reservation and you will be called the day before with password to enter. A quick knock, and the small wooden door opens awaiting the password. Everyone is encouraged to read the rules on the website. Basically, SPEAKSOFTLY and have good manners and patience… on the several dozen specialty cocktails that will be crafted at the bar. Men must wear collared shirts. For this slacker generation, a polo and jeans seems to be the norm. It’s so much nicer when everyone makes an effort to dressup. One 20 something female was wearing shorts. Brought the entire vibe down. The staff is fantastic, attentive, and reassuring when there is a delay from the kitchen or bar. You are reminded that your seating is only for a 2 hour maximum.(This is a great idea as it keeps folks drinking and eating knowing they must vacate before they get too rowdy.) This is a must do for people that like a classy joint for cocktails and respect how intricate the planning was bring this place to life. Duck fat fries are a large portion and phenomenal. Bone marrow dish was good but should have had more bones for $ 18 and pan drippings for the bread. Oysters were also great but would have expected mignonette(sherry and shallot) sauce for the era. The booths are very cozy. Love the stone wall with candle inserts. Love the color changing round fish tank. Love the long couch by the bar. Love that the staff dress the part and have impeccable manners. During our first visit, a loud group of 30 year old single women that apparently didn’t speak easy(6 that increased to 11) got to cackling so loud that we asked to move out of the booth we had reserved for my husband’s birthday to the couch by the bar. The next guests were assigned our vacated booth, and immediately asked to move near us. Management must have addressed the loud mouth women because 3 left shortly after. Then they were timed out and the rest left the other patrons to enjoy their evening. Great job!

Well, we now jokingly call this place«zero’s». It was my good friend Maren’s bachlorette party which she had called several weeks in advance to reserve the back room so we could all hang and converse and you do bachelorette-ish type stuff. We had planned to all eat dinner there, drinks. the works. We give the password the hostess doesn’t even smile just points to all of her friends in the bar area which we assumed they were waiting for us. They say they were seated here. wait, what? At some shoddily pushed together tables in the loud, crowded bar area… She tells the hostess she spoke to someone weeks ago and had reserved the back room. I swear the hostess was a robot«sorry, talk to your server» while Maren was still standing there she goes back to reading her book? Umm. ok. We talked to the server and get basically the same reply. he said«Ya, well there’s a minimum purchase for that»… not sure what you’re implying? You have 10 – 12 professional and well dressed women who were planning on doing drinks, apps, dinner, the works. We decide to try and make it work. The service is awful. The server only had one other table across from us which he waiting on intently(perhaps friends of his?) and yet we got next to no service. I understand this is a craft cocktail place and we all totally understand that it takes time to make the cocktails. oddly enough, that wasn’t the issue. Our DD just wanted a diet coke, it took 45 minutes, yes… FORTYFIVE minutes. We all had our cocktails and when I stopped and asked where her coke was he said«he rang it in awhile ago». Not sure if you have ever worked in the service industry but if someone has been waiting for the bartender to pour your coke for you… you step behind the bar, pick up the gun and push«diet». She asked for a refill several times and never got it. Almost everyone had ordered apps but we decided we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes to get our servers attention and perhaps another hour or so for dinner, especially since we were all seated so awkwardly. You think I am joking but it took an additional 45 minutes to cash out. Craft cocktails are expensive — we went in knowing that but their prices even exceeded what we were expecting. Just stay away. I love speakeasy’s but they obviously don’t care about their customers. I don’t live in the area but hopefully I can save you all a headache.

I was all set to love this place and I’m super sad that I didn’t. There were a few good points, the concept is cool, the bartender and server were really nice, the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and they brew their own ginger beer, which was amazing. However, the things that are supposed to make this place unique were lacking. They called to confirm my reservation and during that conversation I was told there was a dress code(business casual and absolutely no ripped jeans, t-shirts, etc.) and that there was a password to get in. When we got there, we were not asked for the password, and there were definitely people there in ripped jeans and t-shirts. This normally wouldn’t be an issue for me, but it felt like they went through great lengths to let me know the policies and I didn’t feel like they took it all that seriously. The food(besides the steak) was just okay, the drinks were just okay, we were sat at the worst possible table in the bar area right by the bar/server station and it definitely took away from the experience. Our reservation was for two hours and we would have loved to have stayed for dessert, but after an hour of being jostled and interrupted, we were just ready to get out of there. This place got such good reviews and I was so excited to go, but it was not a good experience. I might like to try it again because it seems like a cool concept and everyone has off nights.* *I had to edit my review because customer service from Ciro’s messaged me to apologize for my experience and offer me a gift certificate to return. That is some pretty excellent customer service and that is hard to come by these days. Thanks, Ciro’s.

Nothing disappointed … Themed, all the way, all the drinks were perfect, duck fries and scallops with asparagus were so tasty and I am not a huge asparagus consumer. Open table makes the speakeasy concept a little easier… worthy of your visit. Put your cellphone down and enjoy the atmosphere… Not Vodka friendly…

Ciro’s is a fun place with a special upscale drinkery cool kid vibe. They do fancy popcorn and mottled, egg cream and bitters craft drinks. There are booths with curtains. A password. It’s all very fun and classy. It’s great that they’ve created a special and selective vibe and it can be hard to get in when it’s busy. But its a fun place even though it’s pricey. for a special occasion or a hot date. Or just some fun grub and drinks with friends. ;)

The concept is cool. They go the whole nine yards with the theme. My party of four had two issues, the drinks and the customer service. This place is small so being crowded is no surprise to me. Issue #1 drinks. In a place with such a variety of drinks it does get overwhelming when picking a drink. The server said we could ask him for help and he would guide us on the right direction. He ultimately suggested the club clover or something. It tasted like cleaning product! In fact no one at the table seemed to really be pleased with the drinks. Which isn’t his fault . Issue #2 customer service Our server seemed nice at first. When we asked for suggestion for a drink, which is a big drink menu. So not only did I feel rushed to pick a drink, when I asked the server that I wanted something different he suggested a Mai tai ! During this he decided to pull out his phone and that just made me feel insignificant. Then we were ready to go, we asked for the check and about 15 min later he still didn’t bring it so we figured he forgot. My friend nicely said hey can we get the check when you have a chance and he seemed bothered beyond belief. he didn’t bother to ask if we wanted separate checks and when we all wanted separate we decided to be nice and each pull out cards and try to kindly tell him what goes with what. When he returned he didn’t say thank you for coming or even good night or bye. He looked like we just killed a kitten. Now I have been a server for years so I try not to be judgyy or pick apart every situation but that was uncalled for. I wish I had the experience many of the other reviewers had.

When looking for a night out with the girls or special someone Ciro’s comes through with a great atmosphere. The speakeasy concept requires you to call for a daily password which you furnish at the wooden door for entry, even if you book a reservation online through Open Table. Ciro’s is located at the base of the Bayshore Royale Condominium complex and parking is strictly valet, as the parking lot only offers resident parking. There is virtually no other parking available aside from the minimal on street parking outside of the assisted living place across the street but your best and most reliable bet is the valet parking. Staying true to the style and trends of the prohibition era which is celebrated and imitated at Ciro’s, the eclectic and innovative cocktail menu offers drinks devoid of vodka. More recently the cocktail menu has been updated in booklet form(which I particularly like) to include new craft cocktail offerings and organizes them according to the type of liquor used. I have been here several times ranging from quiet date night to large group birthday party. Half of the bar/lounge area is a booth which lines the right half and has two tables. There are also four high top tables and about 13 – 14 bar stools which line the«L» shaped bar. There are six more private, intimate booths in the back of the restaurant which are decorated with curtains to separate the booth from the rest of the establishment, keeping it more intimate and private. The back booth has walls with mirrors and can probably accommodate up to 8 guests. I would highly recommend making a reservation depending on your purposes for going out, as if you walk up for the bar there might be available seating. Once I called for a reservation for three as I took my mom and my sister who were in town visiting and they gave us a high top table by the fish tank. I enjoy coming here for happy hour, weekdays from 5−7pm, as they have drink specials for $ 7, select apps for $ 8 including their delectable Gruyère cheese fondue with apples/pears/bread accompaniment, and $ 3 bar bites such as truffle popcorn and duck fat fries and deviled eggs. I enjoy sitting at the bar and Bobby is a knowledgeable and gracious bartender. The other servers I have had are also very attentive and amiable. Thank you, Ciro’s, for being a gem in the South Tampa restaurant scene.

1st time here. For the square footage, the music is loud, which means people talk loud to hear themselves over the music. My experience was lessened when the air either went out or couldn’t keep up with the amount of people in the room. Your experience may vary depending on whether or not you are sat next to a shrill raving mad woman, like we were. Didn’t get the«speakeasy» feel at all. Setup: Bar area with about 12 stools. 4 high top tables. Large group booth that takes up the right side of the room. Drinks: Decent Food: Tapas. Wouldn’t come here for a meal. Dresscode: they’re not strict on it. I wore jeans and sandals. Some guy wore shorts.

Ciro’s is a cool spot located at the end of Howard Ave. going towards Bayshore Blvd. It’s on the ground floor of the Bayshore Royal condominium building where the original(and best if I may add) Ceviche used to be. The atmosphere is swanky yet relaxed, and there’s a trendy elegance to it. I feel it’s a perfect place for a first date. Ask for a booth so you can be tucked away from the bar scene, and into your own intimate space. Mixology is the thing now and luckily we have a bunch of places popping up with serious players in the mix, but Ciro’s was the original in Tampa and is still a cut above most. Ciro’s would be at home in the likes of Manhattan, or Munich. The cocktails are all top notch and they don’t compromise on the quality of the ingredients. The food is pretty good as well. So far I have had the Steak Tartare, the fries, Escargot, and the Fondue. They have all been good, with the Tartare being my favorite by far. As far as cost goes, it’s a hip and trendy place in the Soho district so yes expect to pay at least $ 60+ per couple if you’re watching it. If your having a good time, at least $ 100(without tip). Do it, it’s worth it. It’s the kind of place you go to if you want to lounge around, sip on something divine, and feel like G. I keep it G 24⁄7 so that’s all in a day’s work for me, but for the rest of you, this place it worth the trip, the experience and the $$$.

This is my second review of this place… the first was 5 stars. I was disappointed when I went last Sunday because they don’t have happy hour on Sundays anymore. The waitress said«oh we’ve never had happy hour on Sunday“even though I told her we had been on a Sunday in the past and caught happy hour. Boy was she wrong. I’ve included a screenshot of the website where it says so!!! «HAPPYHOURSUN-FRI5−7» The first time we went to Ciro’s was on a Sunday because i have it in my calendar and the next day was a Monday because it was Labor Day and everyone was off work. I even went and checked my calendar to be sure and it was on a Sunday. So I don’t know if she was just new or if the place is under new management… If you don’t have happy hour anymore… you need to remove it from the website because we were deceived. This is the only reason I’m giving a 3 star review. The drinks are always wonderful and the food is unique and tasty… but seriously… don’t argue with me about the happy hour when I saw it on your website… we could have at least all got one drink on happy hour because we ordered by 6… I’m not saying I need every drink to be on happy hour, but it would have been nice to at least have one. I’m not saying I won’t come back… because I really love this place… and I will come back again! but his made me very disappointed… yes the drinks and food were wonderful but it’s the principle of the matter that bothers me…
