I always get a number 5 with the bread left in and lots of freebies and my sandwich is always done correctly and very quickly. I have never had any issues with this location, and I will continue to visit weekly.

Not sure why this location has such low reviews! My sandwich always comes out super quick, and is always delicious.

Very rarely do I write a review of a fast food place, but when I do it’s because the service either blew me away or I walked away dissatisfied. This time it was the latter. I spilled my soda, and I attempted to clean it up with napkins offered to me by an employee(since nobody seemed interested in helping me). The cashier offered to help, which led me to believe he was going to help me with the mess, but instead handed me paper towels. I hold myself accountable for making the mess, but there was nobody in the restaurant, and no reason they couldn’t assist me. Instead they stared at me like I worked there or talked on their cell phone. I never expect anyone to clean up my messes, but is it that hard to help?

So I’m sitting here enjoying my delicious #14 with cheese, and I pull up this location’s Unilocal page. 2.5 stars? Really? Did someone get freaking SPITON by an employee or find a live insect in their sammich? I mean, what the deuce is going on here? So I started reading reviews, and wow… Really Unilocalers? To the chic who was upset because the menu says«gourmet sandwiches,» I think you need a lesson in satire. You obviously didn’t see all the signs hanging up around the building that read, «Customer is usually right» or «free smells» etc. Everyone knows there ain’t nothing«gourmet» about JJ’s subs, just like everyone knows McDonald’s doesn’t sell real hamburgers. The menu is facetious. Unbelievable. I guess I’ve eaten at this particular location 5 or 6 times since it opened up 3 or so years ago, which is a lot considering I live no where close to it, and all I can say is that my bread has always been fresh, I’ve never had a salad’s worth of lettuce on my sandwich, the service has always been friendly and«freaky fast.» 15 minutes from order time to digestion time. Additionally, the tables are always wiped down and ready for the next customer, so they’ve got cleanliness on lock down too. Jimmy John’s, I’m sorry some people just don’t understand sarcasm or the concept behind your beautifully fast and simple service, but I do, so here’s a freaking 5 star. Keep pumping out them«gourmet» sandwiches!

I stopped in for Sunday lunch(mostly because the line to Chipotle next door was too long to wait). I’d been to a Jimmy John’s in Chicago and wasn’t impressed. The one in Carrollwood did nothing to redeem the franchise in my estimation. Jimmy John’s is a «no frills» sub shack. You can’t customize your sandwich beyond declining lettuce, mayo, or tomato. The ingredients are of average quality – nothing memorable. What was memorable on my most recent Jimmy John’s visit, was the stale, dried-out, rock-hard bread. We could tell the instant we picked up our subs that the bread was old. My husband threw his away. I can only surmise that the employees who assembled our sandwiches couldn’t have cared less whether we actually ate them or not.

Very disappointed by the service at this location, stopped by tonight because one of my friends recommended it but regretted it immediately after we walked in :(4 of us walked in all at once and we were greeted by unhappy associates, I figured maybe they were closing and that’s why they weren’t thrilled to see us, sooo I asked«what time do you guys close?»…all we got was silence… Eventually after an awkward longggggg pause the girl looks up and responds with an extremely irate tone«what’d you say? I wasn’t paying you any mind.» …never did get an answer(although I did find out they closed at 10:00 and it was 8:45ish at the time of incident). Anyway, horrible customer service and change of plans; good thing Chipotle is only down the hall :)

The subs are pretty tasty for the most part. I usually get a tuna and hold the cheese. I wish they had pickles in their subs. The pickle on the side is too big and not very flavorful I don’t think. Their multi-grain bread makes you feel like you are being healthier. Their thinny or skinny chips are great. Great service and super fast.

Great tasting sandwich, but so weird that they don’t have green peppers, pickles, or salt and pepper. WHY???

So I tried this location when I first came to Tampa, and was severely disappointed. Since then, we usually order from the one by Davis island for lunch allot during work, which is always fresh, always delicious. Thinking I should give this location another try, I am yet again disappointed. I ordered the beach club w/avocado, which I practically choked on the dry hard bread, mixed with a minuscule amount of avocado & mayo on there, I couldn’t even see it, let alone taste it. And my meat? Two thinly sliced pieces of turkey folded on an 8″ sub. WTF? I mean, would it kill you to give a little more? Because everyone loves a lettuce sandwich, you sure didn’t skimp me on that. This place is freaky fast and freaky crappy. I’m over it.

After a stop at Chase, and then a shopping excursion at Lowes, it was time to grab a quick lunch before heading back towards the office, and so I stopped at Jimmy John’s freaky fast gourmet sandwiches. Jimmy John’s(JJ’s) sits along N. Dale Mabry in Carrollwood, right in front of Lowe’s, and just south of Fletcher. JJ’s is in a little strip mall with Chipolte and Yogurt Mountain. Inside the front door is a monstrous wall-mounted menu with a wide variety of cold subs and sandwiches. The sandwiches are labeled as «Plain Slims» meaning meat & cheese only, «Subs» which add on the fresh veggies, or the giant club sandwiches which have double the meat & cheese plus veggies. Once you decide on which sandwich will make your tummy happy you order it by number, add on chips, cookies, and a drink, and pay your bill. By the time you walk back to the soda machine and fill your cup, your sandwich is just about finished — freaky fast! Unlike other sandwich shops you don’t press your nose to the glass and tell the sandwich maker which veggies you want added in which quantity. The JJ sandwiches are all prepared exactly as described on the menu. Also, the sub sandwiches are all the same size — the only choice is putting the meal on an 8″ French bread sub roll, 7-grain sandwich bread, or lettuce wraps. If you’re not happy with that option, then you might be happier eating elsewhere rather than arguing with the people behind the counter. Also, they don’t serve hot subs, or toast the sandwich, or offer soup or salad. Nope, just sandwiches, chips, cookies, and soda. I ordered the Italian Night Club(#9) on a French bread sub roll. That was Genoa salami, Italian capicola ham, smoked ham and provolone cheese, topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, Italian vinaigrette, and some hot peppers. Add in a Diet Coke, and I was a happy camper!

Would have given another half star but alas, no halves allowed. Simple menu with simple selections. I opted for the vegetarian and was amazed at how quick it was made. Thought the veggies tasted fresher than it’s competition, you know. the place that Jared goes to. The sub is 8″ and comes with avocado, provolone, cucumber, lettuce and tomatoes. Pretty tasty and cheerfully inexpensive. After checking out the nutrition info online, realized it’s not exactly healthy veggie sandwich at a whopping 673 calories, but most of that comes from the bread and mayo, glad I got very light mayo. You can also get unwrapped which would be wrapped in lettuce but is same price either way. Will be back when I need the convenience of a place to get sandwhich on the go.

Pretty good Jimmy John’s location. They are always friendly and have yet to mess up my order(and I can be a pain). You can order online and have it delivered to World of Beer. Oh how I love the convenience of that.

Jimmy John’s «Gourmet» sandwiches are not gourmet… it says that right on the menu. I don’t need gourmet; I just need a good, tasty, consistent sandwich. Initially I rated the sandwiches 3 stars. I wasn’t crazy about the monsterous pile of iceberg lettuce, but overall the sandwiches were a-ok. The food and the service have dramatically gone downhill at Jimmy John’s. 50% of my orders have been delivered incorrectly. The driver has forgotten my chips or cookie or one of my sandwiches. I usually don’t make the driver redeliver the missing food unless they bring me the wrong sandwich. It’s easier to just call and get the missing food refunded to my credit card. The deliveries aren’t even fast anymore. I have waited up to 45 minutes for my order to deliver. What’s the point? I may as well pick it up myself. The poor drivers get overwhelmed with too many orders and I think that’s why so many mistakes are made. The quality of the sandwiches have also gone downhill. I usually order the Vito Italian sub or the J.J. Gargantuan sandwich because they have the most meat and cheese. The other sandwiches really skimp on the protein. Lately the meat has not been the freshest. I had to throw away my last Gargantuan sandwich because it tasted spoiled and I couldn’t manage to stomach more than two bites. Would not recommend Jimmy Johns even though they are one of the few restaurants that deliver.

They have a big sign out from that announces their«Now Open» status, and we were anxious to try it! Always looking for somewhere new to try for lunch, we stopped by there today. It isn’t great, and calling them«gourmet» isn’t even close to being accurate. I had a picture in my mind of a real gourmet sandwich, and the first thing I saw when I walked in was a little note on the menu board that says, «Ok, so my subs really aren’t gourmet…» Really? Maybe you shouldn’t call them gourmet on your sign then… Just sayin. Both of us left saying that the other-sandwich-chain-with-yellow-tables is better. It has a cool atmosphere, but the food left much to be desired.
