This is the second time I’ve been to this place and it seems to ALWAYS be busy. There’s always a wait and always something going on. Needless to say you would think it’d be drama with the bouncers or what not… Not really. We(the bachelor party) had a great night. They run good specials and it’s not as costly as u would think being in SoHo. $ 1 Miller lite draft and $ 2 yuengling. Jello Shots were $ 3 so it made for a good time while we were there. Plus it was karaōke night so we were definitely entertained.

Everything a college bar should be, this bar took me back to a good place. All you can drink happy hour on Friday from 6 – 8 — no need to go on after making that crystal clear. Great outdoor patio and multiple bars to enjoy the Florida sun.

They have the best music in the pub at night. It is always very crowded. I like it. I went at night as clubbing. I haven’t tried the food tho. But it is a must go place to spend the night on weekend. I will go again if I go to Tampa again.

For the last three week I have fought off the urge to write a review, and I feel terrible doing this now, but it’s time. I’m not one to write reviews but I think I need to before things get worse. I love McDits, have been a regular for 5 years now. However since the recent change in management I have only experienced disappointment. Over the last month I’ve experienced an hour wait on wings, been told that only ¼ of the menu is available and have had to leave twice because they couldn’t take breakfast orders(11 am on Sunday). It almost feels like the management doesn’t really care about the overall bar experience. Also, the cook could probably be doing better in the kitchen with less play time at the bar… With that being said, bartenders are always on point, speedy service and always smiling. I hope this criticism is appreciated and taken seriously.

Very disappointed here lately with the management, kitchen and food. Bartenders are always excellent, great service no complaints on that end. I have been a regular here for about 5 years now and it has gone down hill since Tyler and Kevin left. Food has been sub par, multiple hamburgers have been way over cooked, the style of wings usually doesn’t come how you ordered it etc. It’s disappointing to see this especially at this bar, the food used to be excellent and they seemed passionate about making it. I highly recommend that you guys acquire a new head cook to run the kitchen staff. I also recommend you find new management because this has been an on going problem for weeks now. Clearly the current managers are blind or simply don’t care about the establishment. Something needs to change here so I can go back to enjoying food and drinks at my favorite place in town.

Corey, the manager, is extremely disrespectful. I will not be using their services again.

Five stars for all the great times and memories I have made over the years at macdintons. As a student from the University of Tampa, macdintons is basically where my life happened from 2012 – 2014 on my junior and senior year. You’d think getting drunk at a college bar would get old after graduation but it didn’t. I still enjoy going to macdintons and two years after graduation I went and still had an incredible time. There are lots of specials for college students. Wednesday happy hour, Thursday $ 1 beer, Friday happy hour. It was a set schedule in my life until I moved to Orlando. The bar gets very packed but if you are nice to the bartenders, you’ll get your drink. Just be patient. The food at macdintons(although underrated) is incredible! The burgers are delicious and the wings are absolutely to die for. Everyone should stop by before peak hours and eat dinner sometime. I absolutely love this place and I’ll keep coming back every now and then whenever I visit Tampa. Shoutout to Sharon for being the best bartender. She’s usually at the patio/inside hybrid bar. Visit her and tip her well, she’s a great bartender!

Great spot on Thursday nights for Karaōke(inside) with Tony Gregorio, Tampa’s Best DJ. I have been coming here for 3 years on Thursdays for Karaōke and love it. The food is good, the beverages are priced well, and the crowd is middle to upper class and college students. The only downside is the turnaround with the staff

I finally made it here!!! Me and lots of drunk college coeds. What’s not to love? This is party central in South Tampa(SoTa. a.k.a South Howard). They have a DJ kicking it and a stream of tight skirted and tight shirted jabronis flowing in. Sink or swim booze events. It’s all a bit over the top and grotesque, but. well. once in a blue moon. it’s time to PAAARRRRTTTTYYYY! So go big or go home. I usually prefer going home. But despite the excess, waste, buffooery, lack of culture, and ugly billboard they put up, the music be bangin’ and the«ladies» be puttin on a show. So don’t be afraid to get your ticket punched.

I had to give this place 5 stars. Why? Because this pub holds so many memories that I can’t really fully remember! I’ve made friends here, spent many holidays here and even sprained my shoulder here. If you are looking for a damn good time and don’t mind crowds of boozers, make your way to MacDinton’s in Soho. Drink prices are going to vary depending on when you decide to go. Friday night is where it all began for me with $ 10 all you can drink from 6−8pm. The lines are VERY lengthy trying to get in and I highly suggest you arrive early. I’m on the text notification list and they have a deal running that you can skip the line if you arrive really early and order a food item. Every time I’ve gone to Friday Happy Hour, I have ended up quite obliterated and hungry. The crowd is mostly college students looking to get the most bang for their buck and it’s sometimes really hard to even get to the bar to get a drink. Tip your bartenders, people. They work their butts off. Thursday night is karaōke with $ 1 Miller Lite drafts. The karaōke has actually been decent the past few times I’ve gone and it’s always really crowded. They have happy hour during the day and Irish menu items if you want to eat here(I never have, but the menu seems tasty!). Check out their website before going to see if you can catch any specials. They host soccer game watches often as well as big parties for your major holidays(especially St Patty’s). Parking is valet during busy times and if you can’t get a spot in the lot, I would suggest parking on a side street near the Publix Greenwise to avoid tickets or towing. You can bring your doggies on certain days and the outdoor patio is a great place to sit back and enjoy a beverage. If you want good, stiff drinks and a lively atmosphere… make your way to MacDinton’s!

Great burgers and the buffalo shrimp poboy is my favorite. Weekends are usually super crowded and fun. Weekdays have great specials and tons of TVs of you are looking for almost any sport games. Friday happy hour is something you have to experience at least once. Be ready to pay $ 10 all you can drink for a rowdy two hours of drinking.

I love this place! Very fun atmosphere. I love the patio. It’s always super packed and always a good time. I have only been three times, but I have never ever had a good experience with any of the bartenders. One very minor thing which can really improve your overall experience somewhere is the service. Good service will always put a smile on someone’s face. The drinks are good. Nothing too out of this world, being as it’s not exactly the bar to order a martini or other fancy beverage. I will definitely return whenever I’m in Tampa. Regardless how the service is, it’s always a great place to have fun with friends!

We went on Halloween and it was people watching at its finest! I love that this place can appeal to everyone. There are multiple rooms with different music(with one room having live music) and a huge outdoor area. There are many bars and the wait for a drink is never long. Though I was surprised that an Angry Orchard was $ 7. Thought that was a little steep.

Um, yeah. Noisy, and like being in college with a bunch of underaged kids just trying to get drunk. The dj music is too loud and the karaōke, is downright obnoxious! As as grownup, this place is annoying, best bet is to find a more age appropriate place. First daters? You won’t get a word in at all!

I went here to watch a game around 4pm on a Saturday. It wasn’t that busy. We ordered drinks and the appetizer sampler that had potato skins, sausages, pretzel sticks and fried pickles! I was very uncertain about the fried pickles but I really liked them in the end. There were multiple dipping sauces that came for the variety of food and I appreciate that as dipping is a personal fav! It was Typical bar food that was good to share between three of us. Our waitress was running around and took pretty good care of us. The décor as quite a bit of wood everywhere and regular furniture. If you can brave the humidity there is a larg-ish outside bar with TVs.

We stopped in here for a drink after Sunday brunch. I’ve been here a million times, but that was years ago. Nothing has changed here… a bunch of South Tampa bros hitting on the 3 bartenders working there. We did a one and done because it definitely wasn’t our scene.

6 – 8 $ 10 all you can drink Happy Hour Friday is worth it. We got there at about 5:45 p.m., because we wanted to eat first. They were already selling the wristbands. There were a couple people in line, but it went really quick. I don’t think they expected people to buy food, because we sat at a table for a while before I went to the bar to ask for menus. They said they would send over someone to take our order, but it took a while. I ended up getting the corned beef on a pretzel bun with chips. It was delicious! I was so shocked that the food was that good. The chips were hearty and salted perfectly. My friend got the shepherd’s pie and she thought it was great too. We were seriously stunned that the food was so good. We joke that we might come back just for dinner. It is a really good deal to get all you can drink for $ 10. I was afraid the lines would be long to the bar, but it wasn’t. I barely had to wait each time I got a drink. You will definitely want to get here early. It gets very packed. This is one of those places you do not want to be fashionably late to.

Went Wednesday for Happy Hour 9−11PM and had a great time with the browskies! The $ 10 happy hour includes all you can drink draft beers, well liquor drinks, three olives vodka, and sailor jerry rum drinks. I had a couple shocktops, yuenglings, rum and coke drinks and everything was pretty good. The Music was pretty good and included a lot of old school jams. This place got pretty busy for a Wednesday. Tampons know how to Party! Went Thursday for Karaōke and $ 1 Brewskies and had a great time then too. This place has a Good 20−30s crowd. Lots of talent. Gnreat drink specials! Décor is of a typical Irish bar. There are a lot of different bars and outdoor patio and plenty of TV’s with the game on. This is probably the busiest and Best bar in all of Tampa besides some of the beach bars. Will be coming back again!

I’ve been to MacDintons many, many times throughout college and after. The main clientele consists of creepy guys trying to pick up drunk college girls. I’d say the male to female ratio is about 7:1. MacDintons is one of the most popular bars in SoHo, which is why it attracts the clowns of Tampa. With multiple bars, you’d think the service would be a little faster but you would be wrong. There is a DJ outside that plays good hit music, so that’s one upside. They also offer specials on certain nights, such as an open bar happy hour for $ 10 on Fridays. It gets super crowded though. I recommend staying inside for less people. The bathroom lines do get extremely long on these nights too, so that does congest the inside a bit. I never have been able to try any food from MacDintons. For the longest time, I never even knew they served food! I’ve also never been during off hours, so I can’t give them too harsh of a rating. But from what I’ve seen during my visits, there are plenty of other places where I’d rather spend my time and money.

If you are between the ages of 21 – 25 this is probably going to be one of your favorite bars. If you’re 26 and older, probably not. I do go quite often though before 9pm so as not to hit that younger crowd. I like the patio area to bring my dog and just chill and have a drink. They usually have some sort of drink or food special every day too with a decent HH daily. I recommend going at least once!
