Chorizo and yuca fries are so filling and delicious. They are extremely helpful and service was very quick.

OMG! Normally I like to try a spot a few times before I give a review but I am making an exception. The Mobile Munchiez are Magical Mavens when it comes to their culinary creations. The truck was at the Bright house office in St. Petersburg, a building over from my job. They do not have an elaborate menu but they master the items they have. Let me start by first saying that they are a family owned business and the proprietors are very friendly and welcoming. I love Love LOVE great customer service!!! I tried the Mac and Cheese balls which are new to the menu and the Yucca Fries. ALL I can say is, I had Munched till I could no more. The Mac and cheese balls are filled with rich and cheesy mac with a delicious crunchy fried coating. The Yucca fries were just as amazing. If you are in the vicinity of their truck and looking to munch, you will not be disappointed! By the way they use fresh local ingredients, don’t use microwaves and are available for catering corporate lunches, parties and events.

The nice thing about this place is that they make food to order. Also, the portions are pretty darned generous. I had the chicken tenders, and they gave 4 large tenders that were well seasoned enough not to require a dipping sauce. They were crispy. I had them with the yucca fries, which were good, but I think the yucca was ground up and then piped into french fry shape. I like when yucca fries are straight yucca fried. I wish they didn’t pipe the aioli over all the food. I like to control how much sauce I use.

Ok you read reviews and they are amazing and you get the food and there is no flavor, its bland … NOTHERE !!! This is truely good tasting and good flavored food. I don’t even know what a Yucca is but when I ordered my churrizo rice ball, they threw in a few fries for free and I said what the heck(i’m a picky eater). Best decision ever! and this sauce that they put on everything is amazing !!! I want more… I will order here again and again.

This food truck has chorizo rice ball, stuffed potato, chicken tenders, sandwiches, fries, and fried plantains. The $ 6.49 ham swiss & bacon sandwich was surprisingly very tasty! I loved the mayo-mustard in it. The bread was nice and crispy on the outside. It also comes with a side of fries.

Tasty mac and cheese balls at this food truck/trailer. Deep fried with a hint of jalapeño. 8-bucks for good sized balls. Encountered at a food truck rally in the Boyette Springs neighborhood.

Mobile Munchiez is one of my top food trucks on the streets of Tampa Bay! Their food is excellent and I regularly have cravings for it. The truck serves Spanish-Italian fusion cuisine, which is actually the background of the two owners. Silvia who runs the front is Spanish and her husband Fernando has been an Italian chef for over 30 years and cooks all the food. My favorite dish is their yucca fries… I never liked yucca as a kid, but after trying the yucca fries at Mobile Munchiez I AMHOOKED. The sauce they make to go with it is also excellent and I regularly see people coming up for extra sauce because it is just super good. They occasionally will make this stuffed chicken wing which is incredible and seriously crazy to see! It comes with this Gorgonzola dip that is excellent. They also recently added salchipapas to their menu with the option of regular or yucca fries and you KNOW I have to get mine with some yucca fries. One of the best parts about Mobile Munchiez though is their customer service. Customer service is so important for food trucks — it is the bread and butter of their work and the owners of Mobile Munchiez are so friendly, I like to just hang out at the truck with them because they are fun to talk to and always pleasant even in hot, sweaty, summer weather. The combination of great food and customer service really makes Mobile Munchiez one of the best food trucks in town and I look forward to every chance I get to visit them and catch-up while enjoying some delicious fusion cuisine. You can tell when you visit that the other people there are also regulars and that is the beauty of the food truck business.

Wow! Really good food truck. I got the pleasure of trying two items off of the Mobile Munchiez menu: The chorizo rice balls and the yuca fries. The chorizo rice balls were very original and different and I enjoyed every bite. The yuca fries were seasoned perfectly and really delicious. This is the perfect spot for some munchies after enjoying a couple beers at your local brewery or food truck rally!

Saturday around Noon, and the Mobile Munchiez food truck was parked out in front of Cigar City Brewery. Mobile Munchiez(MM) serves the perfect food to match with a long day of beer drinking, and they had a steady stream of happy customers while we were there. Our Unilocal group was meeting at Cigar City for an afternoon tour of the Pinellas County microbreweries aboard the Tampa Bay Brew Bus, and so we wisely ordered some food from MM before we started our road trip. I had the Chorizo Rice Balls which were two deep-fried balls(racquet ball-sized) of rice filled with lean ground beef, chorizo sausage, and a blend of 7 cheeses. These rice balls were served with a couple of yucca fries, and everything was drizzled with their homemade aioli sauce. Someone else from our group ordered a basket of the yucca fries which were sliced like thick-cut French fries, then seasoned and deep-fried, and finally drizzled with the same aioli sauce. Both were very delicious, and not at all greasy. The menu is small with only a handful of items, but the food is very tasty and it is served up quickly. Affordable prices, and some very nice people working there. I will definitely watch for the bright green Mobile Muchiez trailer at the next food truck rally, and be sure to stop by to enjoy some more of their hybrid Italian — Latin cuisine.

I think this is the perfect food if you are out drinking, great for food truck rally. I ordered the potato balls, nice crispy and tasty but I was expecting more meat inside and was a little disappointed about it, perhaps less bigger balls with more meat instead of a few little ones would be better.

By far one of my favorite!!! I lose all will power when it comes to their mouth watering food!!! They have awesome rice balls, heavenly potato balls and off the chain yuca fries(you can’t just have one)!!! I follow them on Facebook as well as Instagram! I tell all my friends about how amazing their food is, it’s defiantly worth a try!

After seeing all the positive reviews, I hate to give MM a 3 star rating. But that’s what it deserves. I got the yucca fries because that’s all I could afford. $ 7? The woman gave me a huge smile when I ordered and paid. I wasn’t surprised; with that price, she had nearly robbed me. The fries were good, but I usually think fries are. Other than being yucca, which didn’t make much of a difference, these fries weren’t anything special. It was a standard plate of thick-cut, greasy fries. They were certainly worth something but not $ 7.

TODIEFOR! My wife is a HUGE fan of their potato balls. I am hooked on their chicken wings stuffed with the most decadent macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. Don’t ask me how they do it, I DON’T KNOW! All of that plus great service from some awesome people who takes pride in the food they prepares and serve. This is one of my all time favorite food trucks in the Tampa area. If you get a chance to indulge, DOIT!

Mobile Munchiez owns my soul a little. I first tried this food truck out at the Mosi event, then stalked it down in St. Pete beach, and now I follow it on facebook to see if/when it makes it over to Pinellas(because going into Tampa proper is really inconvenient). The lady working here is super nice and makes me feel like I’m visiting family or something. The chorizo rice balls for me hooked! There’s cheeses, rice, meat… all mixed together and then fried until the outside is crispy. Top it with the aioli and it’s a ball of heaven. I wish they were a little smaller though so 1) I could more easily share some and 2) stick them in the toaster oven when I get them to go. They’re super filling and can easily be a meal, but part of me thinks they’re supposed to be snack-food, if that makes any sense. I also tried the little potato balls, but they’re not as good as the rice balls. Also sampled the yuca fries, and considering yuca isn’t normally my thing and they were delicious, I have to give this place a thumbs up. I’ll just live in denial of the calorie count… Thank god I don’t live near their normal stops!

The arancini(rice balls) alone are worth a stop at this Italian-Latin fusion-ish truck. Perfectly breaded, these are great little bites of chorizo, cheese and rice — highly addictive. What I did not like, however, was the drizzle of aioli they applied. To me, this aioli tasted like nothing but mayonnaise, which is 1) gross, and 2) completely unnecessary because these already have enough flavor and texture without any adornments. Thankfully, I was able to scrape enough of it off, but in the future I’d probably ask to leave the aioli off. As constructive criticism, if there must be a sauce, I think a drizzle of a simple homemade tomato-oregano sauce would be a much nicer accompaniment. Food trucks need to get over this habit of putting aioli(read: mayo) on everything! Rant aside, I’d come back for those any time.

I was at the Mosi after Dark event and had the great fortune of trying them out. My boyfriend got the Chorizo rice balls that were fried to perfection(crispy golden brown) and filled with a «make your mouth water filling of meat and cheese.» I had ordered the yuca fries that were drizzled«oh so pretty» with their signature aioli sauce that is DELISH-AHHHHS!(a creamy sauce that has a nice spice) To top it off I had the pleasure of chatting with the owners. They were very sweet people. The whole experience had me doing the«happy happy joy joy dance!» If given the chance, try it out! you wont be disappointed.

I tried the chorizo rice ball at the food truck rally. I found it to be ok. It was the size of a tennis ball or a little bit bigger for $ 5. It was a breaded rice ball w lean ground beef chorizo and cheese served w pico and aioli. It was alright to try, but was not my favorite. I also tried yuca fries but there is another place that I like them much better. So all in all, it was ok to me.

I had the opportunity to try their food at the last Flicks ‘n Food Trucks event and I was thoroughly impressed. This Italian and Hispanic influenced food truck is serving up some awesome food. My friend tried the Chicken Alfredo Wrap which looked like a chimichanga. It’s breaded chicken with a creamy, but not heavy, alfredo sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla and deep fried. Such a simple concept and it’s a wonder I haven’t seen anything like it before. I also ordered their version of the Arancini, or fried rice ball. It’s a deep fried mixture of white rice, ground beef, pepper jack cheese, and mozzarella. The rice was nicely cooked, the ground beef added heartiness, the cheeses were a tasty«glue» that held it all together and all encased in a thin, crispy shell. This food truck is relatively new to the Tampa scene and I have no doubts that they will have a big fan base before long. I can’t wait to try some more of their delicious offerings.
