I’ve lived near this place for ten years and I knew it was here, I just never had the desire to eat here until it was suggested by a visiting family member. We had a difficult time finding the entrance when we parked(the main entrance from outside is on one side of a building that houses several golf establishments, but we entered through a set of door in the front of building that brought us to a lobby like setting, with the restaurant off to the left). We were quickly greeted and seated once inside. The place is small and cozy(think Cheers, but a bit smaller and darker), and had the feel that everyone but us was a regular. I tried the Triple Bogey Sampler Platter, the Fried Mushrooms, Irish Potato Soup, and Shepherd’s Pie and it was all good(but not phenomenal). I have to say what we enjoyed the most was being able to play Cards Against Humanity –one of several games supplied by Mulligan’s on request– before and after our meal. It made the dining experience with my family all the more fun.

Not bad. Wife was in the mood for fish n chips so we checked out Mulligans. Service was alright and probably on par with their food. It was a little dark and dreary in the pub. If you play at the adjacent golf course of live in the community I would say hit this place up. If not, you can drive a bit further for better quality without much trouble.

Best«bad for you food» I have had the mushroom burger there twice now, both times it’s been great. The Irish nachos were really good, they could have been hotter, but tasted great. If you need some great bar food, this is the place.

Atmosphere was quaint. Live music was really nice. Very small crowd. Ordered the sampler. I couldn’t even finish. Not because of the size, because it was extremely mediocre. The food wasn’t even warmed through all the way. The waitresses were pleasant and attentive. I would return just for a Snakebite and to relax, but it’s not worth the 15 min drive so I probably won’t be returning.

I’ve only had one visit here, and it was between the 9th and 10th hole so I was in and out in 5 minutes. In those 5 minutes I was greeted by a cheerful server and handed a hot dog in a flash. And it was a 5 star hot dog i have to say. I’ll be back soon, I’m sure this review will get updated…

Soon after I moved here in 2013, I visited this pub and absolutely loved it. I quickly went back a month or so later and have since returned quite a few times. It has become one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. The service is great and I love the atmosphere as well.

Mulligan’s is a great little pub with a good selection of beer on tap. I stop in at least once every two weeks for a few drafts and wings. The wings«Jumbo Flappers» though are not as jumbo as they once were a few years ago. I am not sure if they changed suppliers, but they definitely are not jumbo, just typical size wings and not as meaty as they were at one time. So after three disappointing orders, I noted in the restroom of all places a magazine cover or something similar on the wall that indicated the burgers were voted #1 in New Tampa(great marketing guys). I decided to try one recently and WOW, it was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The Hole in One Burger and the Barbeque Bacon burgers melt in your mouth. A good burger is not great unless you have a great bun and Mulligans serves the softest buns around. The service is great too, with friendly bartenders who all seem to love working at Mulligans and the manager who is there every time nearly always asks if everything was good. St. Patrick’s Day is always packed, have been there several times. My only tips to the owner are please improve the size of the wings(taste awesome though), and invest in a better kitchen venting system. I would visit more, but the grease smell is too much sometimes(almost as bad as Hooters).

Not a bad place. This place is tucked away from Bruce B Downs and unless you live in the neighborhood or know to look for it, it’s easy to miss. Ordered the chicken wings and fish and chips. Both were very tasty, Large chunks of Cod were fried to a crisp texture. The Irish chips were very good I chose these over the fries and was glad I did. Waitress was good and attentive, kept the beers flowing.

My family and I went here once and now I’m a regular. Everyone’s meal was excellent, including appetizers(egg rolls are fantastic, and nachos are made with homemade potato chips). Everything on their menu is very good. Soups excellent, Shepherds Pie, etc. The Reuben sandwich is among best I’ve ever had. Nice beer selection too, which includes a perfectly poured Guinness. Real cool at inside with nice bar, quaint seating, indoor or out.

Love this wonderful find! Fantastic food. Our server was excellent — very attentive without being too intrusive. All the food was fresh and delicious. They have a full bar and the prices are reasonable. You will not leave hungry. We will definitely be back!

Happy little pub next to a golf course! This is a little pub next to the local golf course. It has good food(like a good mahi mahi!), good beer selection, and occasional trivia. Service is also good.

Great burgers and great wait staff. I usually go in for lunch(if you do, get one if the burgers, they are great), but I have also been there for a dinner that was served by them. They have a party room and the food was pretty good for the dinner as well. It is a great place to get a lunch, get away from the office, and watch some sports. For the most part, it is quiet for lunch which means even better service and a great break in the middle of the day.

Pretty good sandwiches and apps. Wings were good too. Beer selection isn’t very robust, but they have one or two things for the snobbies like me. :) We’ve come a couple times on Sunday and it’s nearly dead. Not sure why as the food is good, plenty of room and nice outdoor seating too.

I’ll give this place a 3.5. The service was decent, the beer was cold and the view was fantastic. Mulligans is off of Bruce B. and is nestled on a nice golf course. What makes this place a decent watering hole is that it’s not too crowded– before 5pm, that is, and the bar food, though fairly uncreative, was pleasantly done well. If you live around the area and want an unpretentious pub where you can drink and get a decent burger away from paparazzi, try this place. Just a tip: the burgers seem to be cooked more towards well. So if you like a medium burger, order it medium rare.

This place has a small spot in my heart all its own. Having lived in the area for years I have found this quickly becoming one of my favorite spots to relax and have a beer. Most of the time its not crowded and you are cordially greeted by a genuinely friendly waitress. They seem to remember most everyone’s name which is amazing and makes you feel welcome. It is a small staff and doesn’t seem to have new faces behind the bar very often so that too is a plus because they then remember your drink as well as your name. The guy that I think is the manager(Jason?) is a bit quiet but is always friendly and seems to make everyone laugh. You can tell that this place has a great team oriented staff and it showws. As for the food, it is a typical pub menu, think places like Beef’s or TGIFridays sort of. They have great fish and chips that I’m pretty sure don’t come out of a freezer premade. Wednesday’s they offer 5 or 6 dollar burgers, and you can tell it is a big hit as the place fills up on Wednesdays. My personal favorite is their new egg burger or the roast beef sandwich on a pretzl bun. Do yourself a favor if you go and opt for the Irish Crisps in leiu of french fries, these things are awesome. The place also hosts events like weddings and such, which is always a bit odd to encounter at a pub, but their event room is beautiful and overlooks the golf course. Outside they have a large covered patio with televisions and fans, and the view is serene for being in the middle of a city. They have a game room, but it is in disrepair, the pool table is in terrible shape, and the ping pong net seems to always be falling down. I wondered how it ended up this way until one night when I was there with some friends it looked like Kidz zone or chucky cheese, there were like 50 kids that their parents weren’t watching in there smashing things around and hanging off of the pool table. This is probably why I opted out of the 5 star review because when I am trying to relax I don’t want to hear a bunch of kids screeming in a tile filled room. Im happy that it isn’t like that all the time but seems like its a meeting place for parents to relax and bring their children with too.

Great pub on a course. Cold beer. Great choices on tap. Excellent burgers and wings. Homemade chips that are outstanding. Sliders were just OK. We go here a lot for the wings, burgers and brew. And to take silly photos of ourselves with the wooden Iris dude statue. CHEERS!

Not far from Bruce B. Downs, just across from the Wal-Mart Supercenter and back a few blocks, sits Mulligan’s Irish Pub. It’s part of a country club, but you don’t have to be a member to eat here. The prices are reasonable(lots of $ 8 – 9 sandwiches with a cole slaw side) and there’s a large covered patio out back where you can catch a breeze and smell the freshly mown turf. Since there wasn’t much for vegetarians on the menu, I consulted our server, a hearty lass and a lovely one, and she made a few wise suggestions. The one I took her up on was a vegetarian Reuben with grilled mushrooms and onions taking the place of corned beef, and I really liked it. Jodi had a shepherd’s pie; it was more like a cottage pie(it’s made with beef, and shepherd’s pie is correctly made with lamb) and had chunks of potato rather than a top layer of mashed potatoes. She’d order it again, though, and she’s an Irish lass. Me? I’m ¼ Irish. I think I inherited the love of strong drink but not the musical talent, the ability to see leprechauns, or the desire to blow anyone up.
