I was here last night. The place is super cool. They have free line dancing classes from 7 –9PM. With $ 12 entry it’s unlimited well drinks or beer all night long starting from 10PM. They also have bull ride & dart games.

I’ve been going to the round up for several years. I started going to the old one at Racetrack rd but now go to the new one. It’s very spacious and the drinks are on point.

I used to go to the old Round-Up a lot back in the day when I lived in the area and when I heard Round-Up moved to a bigger location, I had to come check out the new venue, and it did not disappoint! The venue is huge, with high ceilings, exposed AC ducts giving the place an industrial warehouse style, much larger dance floor, patriotic banners, and they can still fill the place Fridays and Saturdays! The Round up moved from the Plaza across from the Flea Market and Race Track Rd to the Plaza next to the Neighborhood Walmart Market, PK PlayZone, DosaHut, and Sushi Bar. The Round Up was formerly a Shapes Women’s gym so that gives you a pretty good idea of how big it is. I ended up dropping in for their one year anniversary party and you could: take pictures and shots at the fireball party booth, try the Rubber Ducky Challenge, try the Dunk tank, ride the bull, or boot scoot boogie on the dance floor. Dress code for this is place is casual. Shorts and flip flops are okay for guys but most guys wear jeans and the girls all wear jean short shorts and cowboy boots. PROS: Great Nightly Drink Specials, Larger Venue, Free Bull Riding, Free Line Dancing Lessons, Great Crowd, Great mix of Country and Top40 Jams, Bouncers don’t hold the line to make the place look cool like some other clubs, and it’s a closer drive from the interstate. You can spend the whole evening at this Plaza and have a ball! Get some sushi next door, play some laser tag, ride in bumper cars, play some video games, and then hit up the Round Up. CONS: With the amount of space they have they could have had 2 dance floors like the Dallas Bull. Dallas Bull has a strictly country dance floor and a strictly rap dance floor upstairs. Dallas Bull is in BFE though off 301 and way too far. Still kinda far from me in South Tampa, Closer to WestChase, Town N Country, Oldsmar Areas. I just wish they had a country bar in South Tampa too. Specials: Thursday is Ladies Night — with $ 5 Cover, Ladies drink Free 9PM-3AM, Guys drink Free 9PM-11PM, plus $ 2 Bud & Bud Lights all night! Friday is $ 5 Cover with $ 2 Bud & Bud Lights all night! Saturday is Sink or Swim for $ 12 house wells and drafts 9PM-3AM Thurs, Fri, Sat 7PM-9PM Round Up offers Free Line Dancing Lessons! There is plenty of parking available onsite in a private lot. They have a full liquor bar. Good for dancing. Good for watching football with Plenty of TV’s. Will be coming back again! Thanks! :)

Wow! The new space is huge! I used to go to the old location when I was in highschool with my girlfriends every Thursday. Thursday’s are ladies night — you drink for free so I can’t complain about that. We came here for a friends birthday last Thursday night. The place was a ghost town! It was so dead we couldn’t believe it. The bartenders we’re friendly and the music was pretty good, the dances haven’t changed. They said it gets busier on Fridays and Saturdays so might come back on a weekend. Line dancing was a nice change of scenery from our typical night clubs. Drinks were good, shots were better. DJ was nice. Maybe the round up will pick up in the fall.

If you want to hear country music this isn’t the place. A disgrace to all country bars.

Nice place to just chill and hang out. Thursday Night always a great day to go. $ 5 to get and and guys free drinks from 9 pm to 11 pm. Great place to learn line dancing, but make sure to go early to learn the steps because when you get there later all dancers do there own step and you’ll get confuse following them. They do have pool tables and darts. So if dancing is not your thing then you can enjoy pool and darts.

What a fun place to hang out. This place is great for people who know how to dance or anyone who just wants to give it a try. Come early to have a lesson on dances or just come late and jump into the crowd and follow them. With a few drinks in you you’ll know all the moves. Give this place a try, take your friends, and take over the dance floor. Their weekly specials are very good, ladies night on thursdays and sink or swim saturdays, worth the money. Come on y’all give it a try.

I went to the Round Up with a group of people for a free line dancing class and then stayed for a bit to socialize. This was not a really young crowd and we all definitely enjoyed the very welcoming and helpful staff. The line dancing class was approximately an hour, give or take and was actually quite fun and definitely good exercise. There were about 15 of us there for the lesson & all had a good time. I question some of the other reviews, if you don’t like country music, line dances or cowboys or cowgirls, why would you waste your time going. I’ll admit I got a country side, that I am proud of! I will return & try the sink or swim, planning ahead to. take Über home. All in all, my group had a fun evening, okay staff & great people watching. Have to agree the drinks were on the weak side. What’s a girl to do? Say she’s proud to be Country, when that part of personality emerges!

This is the same as «Round Up» Tampa. Same staff, same owners, they just moved to a different storefront. You may want to read my review before going there, because it is probably just as awful and dangerous of a place as ever. I went to the Round Up for my birthday. I was walking to the Tiki Bar with my boyfriend, and one of the bouncers slid his hand up the back of my shorts, in an attempt to grab my butt. He was a big guy, I would estimate he weighed as much if not more than my boyfriend and I combined. My boyfriend asked him(calmly, with no threats) to apologize. Instead of apologizing, the bouncer and 2 of his bouncer friends beat him continuously. The punched him, bodyslammed him, kicked him, stomped on him, and pummeled him, putting him in the hospital. He now has permanent injuries that he will have to deal with for the rest of his life. Anyone who tried to help was restrained by other bouncers. My boyfriend was dragged out(literally), and I followed. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, the owner came out. He was extremely rude and unhelpful, and threatened to have me thrown in jail for speaking against him. This is the same man that owns the«new» location. If anyone doesn’t believe the story, please let me know and I can furnish you with the police report and ambulance report from that night. Yes, the drink specials are cheap. But ultimately, it is not worth the cost of the bodily harm and sexual harassment that you risk by going there.
