A great pizza stop in the middle of downtown Tampa. I suggest everyone makes it here and we surely will be back. If there was a 4.5 I would rate that. Wasn’t quite a 5, but definitely wouldn’t drop it to a 4. Since I would 100% come back every time in the area, enjoyed my food greatly, and had solid service I will round up instead of down. First, order the breadsticks. Wow talk about fresh, hot, and very delicious! A great way to start any meal you have here. They had that great visual appeal, I saw them served to table next to us and I had to have them. That’s how you advertise! Let the patrons see these delicious plates from the kitchen pass by. I love pizza shops that have more«specialized» pizza options, after all that’s why you come to these type of pizza joints, not just for a pepperoni pizza. We went with the spinach-tomato and it was on point. Even the 12″ was more then enough for 2 when coupled with the breadsticks. It was clear from the taste and look you were getting 100% fresh cut vegetables and toppings on the pizza. Loved that they had kid friendly option including a 4 $ kids cheese that my daughter loved and devoured. And always important coloring placemat with crayons(every parents dream at restaurants for a pleasant meal). I also enjoyed a smooth IPA draft beer that was buy one get one free even on Saturday at prime dinner time, what a deal! Only knock, small place. So if you don’t come at the right time you might be standing and waiting. But not much you can do about this. In this area of Tampa it’s all smaller establishments. All in all put this on your list of places to go! And we will certainly be returning ourselves!

Biggest Calzone in the universe! Lasagna and pasta dishes excellent and generous. Pizza sets the bar very high. The ONLY problem is lack of servers during the lunch hours. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable but was obviously overworked. She was responsible for far too many tables. It was apparent she wanted to spend more time with the customers and she tried extremely hard to attend to her customers needs but it was all she could do to play catch-up. Perhaps someone called in sick. We’ll absolutely return and hope our server isn’t as harried.

If you are in South Tampa looking for pretty good pizza, I would definitely suggest Sally O’Neals. It is a bit pricy, but you get good quality ingredients on the pizza. I had the chicken artichoke pizza. It had really good freshly made chicken and lots of cheese. The crust is on the thin side, but not super thin, and very tasty. Service could have been better. It looks like there was only one waitress there for the inside and outside on a Saturday at 12. She did what she could, but service was slow. I’d definitely come back here again.

We just moved to the area and since this is the closest place to us we ate here first. Plus, what’s better after a long day of moving than pizza and beer? We sat outside. It was quaint & comfortable. The waitress was really nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. But, to the most important part of the review — the food. We had a ½ and ½ pizza which they were more than happy to do for us. That’s nice since my wife and I are opposites when it comes to food. The pizza was hot when it came out. It taste pretty good. Toppings were generous. I would not rate it one of the top five pizzas in my 30 years though. Also, very expensive in my experience living in a few large cities. Overall, I would recommend!

Awesome pizza! The Greek salad is pretty good too. Great local place! Order more pizza sauce when you get the bread sticks, it’s better to dip them.

We love Sally O’neal’s it is right down the street from our house and a great place for a casual night out. We always start with their Pizza Bread Sticks and they are amazing. Great pizza and great service!

Worst service ever! Twice now I’ve ordered take out and it’s not been ready on time(first time I was told 35 min and it took an hour with me waiting 25 minutes, then today was told 35 – 40 min and I arrived 45 min and my salad wasn’t even ready). So had to wait for them to prepare my salad and my pizza obviously had just been sitting in the heater since it was cold, congealed and soggy. TERRIBLE, with only a oh I’m sorry. Don’t eat here it’s not worth the hassle to pay almost $ 35 for food and it’s cold

Placed a delivery order and was told 45 minutes to 1 hour. Jumped in the shower and missed the delivery person 20 minutes later! Called back and was told the manager stated they’d either send the cold pizza back out or it will be an hour wait for a hot one. Wouldn’t even put the manager in the phone. Why give a time that’s not realistic? What a joke… Learn how to take orders and forecast an accurate time, or at least care when your order takers mislead the customers. Hopefully the pizza is better then the customer service and management, although that wouldn’t be saying very much.

I love everything on there menu. And there staff is so friendly and helpful. but unfortunately the staff let a child around 6 to 7yrs old climb on brench chairs with his dirty feet. I said something to waitress she went back n asked manager. He said its ok to have a child with no shoes in there restaurant. me personally i will think twice about dinning in! I would have give 5stars but because of my last experience its between 2 – 3 star.

The breadsticks here is all you ever need. I love this place. Service is not great, but I get through it for the breadsticks and wine!

Place is a scam. I will never do business with them. Called and ordered a pizza, after 1.5 hours I called and they said they didn’t deliver because something was wrong with my address. They never even tried to call me or inform of the problem. My only option was to come get the cold pizza or refund. I took the refund. If I wouldn’t have called they would have never voided the charges. The people they have working here have no common sense.

It doesn’t look like much from the outside(nor the inside), but their pizza and garlic breadsticks are truly amazing. Their regular crust is the best I’ve had in a long time. It almost seems like the crust is basted with garlic and butter. Honestly, everything about this pizza is wonderful. The sauce, the high quality toppings, and the cheese all contribute to it’s great taste. What really keeps me coming back for more is their amazing garlic breadsticks. They bring you a plate of these soft pizza dough strips covered with garlic, butter, and parmesan cheese. There is a pizza sauce on the side to dip it in, but you don’t even need to dip it to enjoy it. They are totally awesome! All I can say is that this is now my new favorite pizza place in Tampa. I can see why it’s a local favorite.

This pizza is amazing! My husband and I go here often, and his work even gets lunch from here about once a month. The espresso cake/pie is also delicious(if you don’t have room, get a piece to go! You won’t be disappointed). Sometimes the service is a bit lacking, you often have to hunt down your waitress, but the pizza makes up for it!

This is a hard review for me. I want to give 4 stars but they just don’t quite make it. The pizza is great. The crust is on the thick side(this is not NYC style pizza) but not dense. The pizza sauce is flavorful. Not that tomato paste stuff you get at some places. The Greek salad is delicious. Just a classic Greek but so tasty. The big miss is basic service. We had a table of 7 and the waitress told us they couldn’t serve us beer on tap because they didn’t have any clean beer glasses!!! Can you imagine?! I said please go wash some we want beer with out pizza! We finally did get our beer after waiting for the rinse cycle. The waitress was difficult to keep on task and hard to find when we needed her. She was friendly but a bit lacking in the brain cell department. When we finally did get our orders in and got our food, as I said earlier, the pizza was great. If Sally’s can work on some basic serive goals, I’d give them a 4 star review for sure.

Got a takeout white pizza with chicken, artichokes, broccoli, and black olives. It was good, but nothing too special. The crust was nice and garlicky but the pizza itself, while tasty, was a little on the dry side. With so many other great pizza places around here, I probably won’t be back any time soon.

Chicken artichoke, chicken artichoke, chicken artichoke! Holy Hannah! I had this the 1st3x I visited and was not disappointed at all. 2nd good point, is the leftovers. If you try and eat your pizza the next day and it tastes like crap, it’s because that establishment used crappy ingredients and lots of oil and cheese to hide it. So it tastes good hot, but not ever again. That is not this place. Leftovers cold or reheated are just as good as when they originally drop the pizza at your table. I’ve started exploring the menu now, and the staff is great about making suggestions on how to improve or mod the staples in the menu. Love the staff, love that I can walk there because the parking lot can get packed(which shows how good it is). 10⁄10 would attend again. Don’t get FOMO, go now. Pro tips– if you go from 5 – 7 your pizza comes out real fast and the beers are 241 They have a side salad that is more than splittable. They make all the salads in this size.

We have been trying several different pizza places lately and Sally O’Neal’s Pizza Hotline really stood out. We loved the pizza that we got from here! I have to say that I was very surprised when we pulled into the parking lot. In South Tampa it’s a common occurrence to pull your hair out when you’re trying to find parking for a restaurant you are going to. That won’t be a problem here because they have a very large parking lot. The restaurant is a nice mixture of tables, booths, and a small bar area that people can sit around. They have pasta and calzones on the menu, but all we wanted was pizza. Their pizza crust is definitely thicker than New York style(they don’t advertise theirs as such, I’m just pointing that out). At a lot of places I will end up ordering extra sauce because places can be chintzy with it. That would not be necessary here because they were very generous with the sauce, and it was delicious. There was a refrigerated display case that had decadent looking slices of cheesecake, pie, and cake. I was so stuffed from the pizza that I wasn’t even remotely tempted but they looked good. The sign outside says that they have been open since the mid-1980s. With pizza like this I can understand why. I am going to become a regular here.

This place has been around for many years for a reason! ITSAMAZING! It has a family restaurant feel and the pizzas are delicious! The prosciutto with goat cheese and sun dried tomato is my go-to! They also have a great Greek Salad and are very generous with feta cheese! Pro tip– save your receipts! They’ll honor them and give you a free pizza after 5!

I’ve heard from lots of pizza that the pizza is delicious, especially the artichoke pizza. As a New Yorker, I know I have high pizza standards. I finally made it here and eh. Wasn’t bad, wasn’t fabulous. Just average Tampa pizza. The artichoke pizza was alright but I didn’t think it was anything special. The BBQ chicken pizza was pretty good, but again, nothing special. The waitress was really nice and the wine selection was pretty decent. Probably won’t go back but I’m glad I finally tried it.

OK, I’ve been waiting to try this place for a while now, and today finally seemed like the right day to grab my coworker and drag her along with me to test out the pie here. Let me say that I’m super glad I did! It’s an unassuming little joint, right across from Bella’s on South Howard in South Tampa. There’s probably enough seating for a lunch crowd but I can imagine this place getting packed on a Friday or Saturday night. It was clean and smelled delicious! We were greeted by our very friendly server(I wish I got his name!) and told to sit anywhere we liked. We ordered some of their pizza breadsticks for the table, our own 12″ pizzas(She wanted wheat crust, I wanted regular), and I ordered a lasagna to take home for dinner. First…THEBREADSTICKS. Wow! They were *amazing*! They were hot, fresh, garlicky, buttery and grated parmesan cheesey-ey, and they were served with a very bright, fresh tasting marina dipping sauce. It was a large serving, and both of us felt guilty after devouring the whole batch.(Not really that guilty…) Second… THEPIZZA… Wow again! They do not cheat you on sauce, cheese or toppings! There was plenty. The toppings tasted fresh(sausage and pepperoni on mine, mushroom and pepperoni on hers), the sauce, much like the marinara from our breadsticks, was bright and fresh tasting, and the crust was soft and chewy, but crispy at the edge with a nice buttery taste. Finally… THELASAGNA… Meh… Just kidding — Wow yet again! I’m actually eating it as I write this. It’s what reminded me to review this place to begin with! It’s full of meat, mozzarella cheese and delicious sauce. There’s just enough ricotta to notice, which is perfect, because if you ask me, a little ricotta goes a long way and I don’t care for places who use it as a filler to cheat you on everything else. In conclusion, I loved it.(Can you tell?) It wasn’t the cheapest lunch in the world, but I will definitely go back. In fact, I can’t wait to go back to this place and drag a few other members of my team along with me. The service was great and the food was excellent, and that makes a restaurant just perfect.
