Tate Brothers Pizza

This is one of the best pizza’s i have ever had. Thin crust, less cheesy and excellent! We tried the bid daddy and it was out of the world.

Most recently Nov 14^th ordered wings. Delicious and delivered on time. My «go to» for wings, not breaded, not over cooked, juicy, flavorful… perfect.

Best pizza in south Tampa. I love this place. Not only is the pizza good, but the service is excellent. You can tell they care about having you as a customer and serving a superior product. I usually get it delivered and it always arrives at my door hot, fresh and fast. All they need inside the restaurant is a Galaga game and it would be the perfect pizza joint! Hit them up when you need a pie on the south side!

I can’t believe I haven’t tried Tate Brothers Pizza sooner!
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical to try Tate Brothers Pizza after reading some of the reviews, but I’m glad I ignored the naysayers because I thought the pizza was really good! I ordered the daily special: two slices of pizza and a can of soda for $ 5. Not a bad deal!
During non-​peak hours I probably wouldn’t recommend the slice deal, but since we ordered our slices around noon the pizza was fresh and piping hot. The pizza was thin, New York style pizza and was not too greasy.
I would definitely return and order one of the whole pizza pies to take home for dinner.

The slices are very affordable and the place is cute. 2 slices and a drink for $ 5 tax included? What’s not to lIke? Slices are $ 1.88. I want to come back and try a calzone. The pizza was good but the slices I had were not the freshest or hottest and had been sitting out before being reheated. Tasty nonetheless and I like a no frills place in food SoTa.

I had a delicious calzone today with a Coppertail triple bock. Delicious marinara on the side. Skip the reheated slices of pizza and sit down for ten minutes to get a fresh calzone and a cold beer. Bring you friends and get a bucket of 5 craft beers for 15 and you get Coppertail or Stella. Friendly service local original.

The pizza really is terrible. It actually didn’t taste much like anything at all. Very cardboard-​y. However, the service was nice.

Parmy Puffs are awesome. The pizza is horrible. Too many choices to have sub-​par pizza like this.

Waiter and cook were super nice! The pizzas were hot and fresh. We all ordered different slices and they met the demands of a rowdy family with a smile.

This hole in the wall pizza shop has the best calzone I have ever had! The pizza is okay, but the calzone is to die for. The calzones are just the right size, have the perfect garlic knot type crust, and an impeccable sauce that goes perfectly with the calzone. The cheeses inside the calzone are delicious, and one of the cheeses have an additional flavor that really makes the meal (I think chives). Unlike most calzones, these are not ubsurdly greasy, and have a great deal of care put into them when they’re being made. You can actually watch them prepare your food through a little window.
Inside the restraunt it’s about as clean as you would expect a hole in the wall pizza shop would be. The service is pretty good, and there’s always a server within a few feet (because the restraunt is tiny). I’ve been here twice, and both times I was given a free soda. Maybe that’s just my experience, but I found the servers to be super friendly.
The location is just like anywhere else in tampa, borders a good neighborhood and a bad neighborhood, and very little parking. Unfortunately, there are only about 11 parking spaces for the building Tate Brother’s Pizza is in (which has other businesses too), and the big parking lots are for other restraunts that will tow you if you park there. I drove around for about 20 minutes, just waiting for a space to open up. Perhaps, to-​go meals would be a better option than dining in.
Overall, I think Tate Brother’s Pizza is phenomenal, and I will definitely be revisiting.

The owner is unusually attentive and awesome. And he makes the pizza to match. Probably the most bombass pizza that I’ve had in seven months two weeks and three days.

the service is bad I go in the store very rude and extremely unpleasant jojo is one how gives extremely bad service and is very rude I order salad there was no chicken in the salad I was very disappointed with customer service overall

I do have to say that I like this place! The pizza was good and cheap and the beer was even better. I love supporting small local business because that is was keeps the Tampa market thriving. The service was beyond great. They even threw in free garlic knots. Who doesn’t love free stuff! If you are looking for a quick bite to eat and don’t want anything fancy I would suggest this place.

If you want to support a local business with a real loyalty to providing customer service and a delicious product, Tate’s in SOHO is your place.
Small, but with plenty of space, 6 of us piled in after a failed test menu at a new soho restaurant. Tate’s for the win! We loved the parm puffs and cheese/​pep pie, and the staff was accommodating and delightful.
We chowed down happily and with gusto. Happy girls. That never happens.

Amazing pizza. Amazing service. Great price for the food. Love the hole in the wall vibe of the place. The server was nice, we got complimentary garlic bread knots. Just an overall great experience. I also love how they have Florida Avenue beer in bottles. Know why but what more do you need then pizza and beer on a Friday night?
