My wife and I hadn’t been here in over 10 years so we didn’t really know what to expect. Fortunately, it was as as we remembered. The chips and salsa was fresh and very good. The food was very tasty and came very quickly. Also, our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our every need. While this isn’t the very best Mexican food we’ve had, it was still very good and worth what we spent. I would definitely recommend eating here if you’re craving pretty good and quick Mexican food,

Don’t ever book a party here because if they get a better offer more $$$$ then they will boot you and pretend they never spoke to you! Manager R***n rude and condescending very unhelpful he offered to put us on the open patio when it going to rain all weekend. Had over 60 people to call and at the last minute. Would never ever go here again! Will make sure everyone and every website knows what slime R***n(is that better lol) and this place is!!!

The place is tradition! The chips and salsa arrive when you do. The Queso is amazing. The only place for real tex-mex. The flautas and ribs are a must have. The drink specials are always super cheap 2 for 1 all day… The service is always friendly and quick.

I’ve been coming here for years and I still maintain that Tia’s has the best chips and salsa that I’ve ever had. I am nuts about it. Some places will only give you one bowl of chips and then charge you for a refill. Not Tia’s. When your bowl is empty they will bring you another one if you ask. Some places will bring out stale chips to you. Not Tia’s. The chips are always warm and fresh. If you get a to-go order they’ll give you a gimongous(name trademarked by me) bag of chips. The salsa tastes great and is not too chunky. Their fajitas are delicious and come out on a sizzling platter. They come with a side of rice and beans and assorted toppings. You can actually substitute the rice and beans for other things such as vegetables(or even french fries!). Wrapping all that up in a nice, warm tortilla(which the sign on the wall says that they make from scratch) = yum. The amount of meat you get with each fajita serving is quite generous. Monday is buy one get one free day for fajitas, which means that you can get a ridiculous amount of food for not much money. They don’t charge for soda refills either. Their fried ice cream is a tasty, unusual desert. Normally I have to have someone roll me out of here when I leave because I’m so stuffed. If you’re a sports fan the bar area has several large televisions all tuned to various sporting events. You can also sit outside if the weather is nice. I’ll be honest. With the people I know this place elicits either a «love it» or «hate it» reaction. I am squarely in the«love it» category. Is it Monday yet?

This is a good mexican restaurant. They have tasty food and it is quick service. There are many deals and different combos to choose from. It also has reasonable prices. One perk of this place is on select nights, the restaurant turns into a nightclub. There is a dj and drink specials. This is the closest place to come out and party with your friends and meet new people.

My husband and I just ate there this evening. We had the steak fajitas. They were delish as was the chips and salsa. The seating inside is a little weird. This got 5 stars because we had the BEST.server. Her name is Stormy and she is awesome!

Used to be my favorite restaurant, I moved away and came back 6 months later and it has turned terrible for me. Chile Rellenos tasted old and excessively battered. Used to come here all the time, now I will never return.

Skip it, go down Fowler(east) for another Mile… to Qdoba’s. Ok, first off the good. The Tortilla’s are fresh, but they were a little under cooked. Tasted good, but not great. ok, that’s all the good I have to say. My rule with a new Mexican place: Order the Queso. I knew instantly that this was going to be bad. Velveta /Rotel is not Queso. Just flat out gross. Steak Chimichanga’s were pitiful. Under fried, but the steak inside was so overcooked and flavorless, I was thoroughly disgusted. The refried beans & rice were also foul. The worst of this experience was asking for Sour Cream. They brought us a little solo cup of Warm«Sour cream Sauce»($ 1.49) that was split, and overall tasted like a really bad Alfredo sauce. I bet this was a powder + water situation, just gross. The waitress was also laughable. She asked me if I wanted to speak to the manager about removing my entrée from the bill. I told her, only if he needs to, but I’m not paying for it. Look, Tampa… I’m new to Town. Please tell me I’m just having bad luck. I cannot find really good mexican(or anything for that matter) in Tampa. What gives? Someone please point me to some Really good places, that a Chef can go and guarantee to not be pissed off when he leaves.

Nice Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately service is a problem. We were in there for 90 minutes total. Took foreever to get beverages or refills. We needed extra napkins, t hey never came. The meal arrived over 40 minutes after ordering. Food was four-star flavor. We tried manythings, rellenos, enchiladas, fajitas. Great flavors. Chips & salsa were both great. They have abou 4 sauces that come with your dinner – and none were fantastic – salsa was sufficient.(Cheese was spicy, green sauce came«stove hot»). The fried ice cream was delicious and a highlight of our meal. So if you have lots of time, this could be your Mexican fare.

Just moved to the area and am looking for a good mexican place. This was not it. My waiter was overly attentive while I was looking at the menu trying to decide but once I orderd and the food came — forget it. I had to flag him down to get another drink and more napkins. I orderd the chicken chili cheese nachos — but they seem to have forgotten the chili. I would not reccomend this place and I won’t be back.

We went there last Monday for lunch. Best salsa I ever had. The salsa had roasted peppers In it. Went there yesterday just for that. The dumb ass waiter didn’t have a clue about the salsa. He offered to bring a bottle of hot sauce. HIGHLYDISAPPOINTED.

Ask the waiter if the food i was getting had onions… He said«everything has onions!» Im, ok with that… I don’t like onions, so I’m happy with just eating my chips he gave me and and the salsa that doesn’t taste like it has onion in it. Told him i was fine and didnt want anything and my girlfriend order anyways… This«A$$HOLE» would not leave me alone about it. He even drew a onion on the bill! I Said«nice drawing» and he said«guess art school is paying off». Well, i hope it is, because youre not much of a waiter! when my girlfriends food came, guess what? «NO F-ING ONIONS!». Girlfriend said the food was dry with no flavor. Just by looking at it, you can tell the food was frozen, then microwaved and then deep fried! you would have to be drunk off Margarita’s to eat this food and put up with the staff!!!

Was invited to go eat here with a couple of friends due to their 2 – 1 fajitas on Mondays. Having said that i was really looking forward to the food. Our table of 6 got 2 free bowls of salsa and fresh hot chips which tasted very delicious. The salsa was a little spicy but not overwhelming for someone who can’t handle spicy food. I then proceeded to order a sangria frozen margarita which was delicious, it almost tasted like a raspberry margarita and later decided to do a margarita of the day(mango) which was even better than the sangria one, also frozen. For my entrée i decided to order the combo of steak and chicken fajita, it was quite a disappointment. Having started with delicious salsa to a delicious drink the fajitas were a very big let down. There was very little to no flavor to the meat and the onions and peppers had looked like they had been sitting in a giant pot till they were needed, slightly slimy. After about 2 – 3 mins i had checked the onions on the bottom of the skillet to make sure if they had not been burnt and i was right but they were sticking to it. The meat and vegetable’s seemed to have been cooked then just thrown onto the skillet and there was no sauce or anything for them to not be burnt by it. The sides that came with it were nice but honestly its hard to mess up lettuce, cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo and beans and rice. I give it 3 stars because I came for the specials and also did happy hour so my bill was only 16 $ after having fajitas and 2 drinks, which I’m happy about. The server was also really nice and kept our drinks filled and the table wasn’t neglected at all.

Actually liked it. I moved here from Chicago an it’s impossible to find a good Mexican place around here. Service is friendly and fast My order was a mango margarita. It’s buy 1 get 1 free. Didn’t know that but it was good and 5.95 for 2. Not bad. Hubby had daiquiri yum too We split the cadillac enchilada huge plate w fajita steak on top of two enchiladas w rice veggies and salad. Gd seasoning not just plain. Chips and salsa were alright. Happy altogether considering last place by my house Was nasty and loud and full of rug rats lol Happy seis de mayo to all!

I’ve eaten lunch here twice(both on Sunday afternoons), and I agree with Nick J; the tortilla chips are pretty good, and the service is also decent. Unfortunately I think the food is sub-par. I most recently ordered the chicken fajitas which are featured prominently at the top of the one-page menu. Don’t get me wrong – the chicken fajitas were okay, but I don’t think they were as good as you’d find at an average Mexican restaurant. I like the salsa here, so I ended up eating a lot of chips and salsa with my fajitas. Our server – Sean M – was great. We had a large party that included a young child, and Sean did a great job of taking care of everyone. Props to Sean for a job well done. Overall, ehh, not a huge fan of Tia’s, but it gets the job done. I’d suggest driving just a mile north to check out Taqueria Monterrey.

I’ve never had Tex Mex food before so wasn’t sure what to expect. I came to this place when I was on vacation in FL. since the selection of food at the hotel we were at had a very limited selection of food. It was a five minute walk near the Hyatt Place Busch Gardens to where we were staying. To those of you who don’t know what Tex Mex food is, it’s Mexican food minus the spiciness of the food but basically the same thing. The place was cute and quiet when I came in the early evening. I came during happy hour and margaritas were half off-:) I ended up getting two blended margaritas for only $ 2.50 each. I got the sangria flavored one that the waiter suggested to me. It was blended and very refreshing to drink on such a hot day. The waiter brought them both out at once along with a basket of tortilla chips and a fairly decent sized bowl full of red salsa. The margaritas were good, but I wish that I had ordered another flavor instead as the sangria one tasted way too much like a wine slushie and I don’t really care for wine. Anyways, I decided to be bad and go off my diet since I was on vacation so I ended up getting the empanadas with ground beef and cheese in it. It came with some nacho cheese sauce. I got my order in less than 10 minutes and it was good, but the problem is that the whole meal lacked spice. I had to use the not so spicy chipolte Tabasco sauce on everything and still, it wasn’t spicy enough for me. The waiter was nice and the food was reasonably priced and good and so were the drinks, but IMHO, ethnic food should never ever be bland. I don’t expect it to be so hot that I’d have to down a pitcher of ice water, but not so bland that it tastes like American food. When I’m in the mood for spicy food, I expect it to be spicy and full of flavor.
