Zoom Tan

The Versa is the way to go. Excellent color and soft skin following a clear level session. Make sure if you are a member not to go on text discount days the wait is long. Only downside is the location the parking is terrible.

I have had a zoom tan spray tan membership for almost 2 years now and use it weekly. This location is my usual spot because of the proximatey to my residence. Overall I usually have a good experience and the zoom tan formula gives the longest lasting and most realistic tan from a booth (I have used many other spray tan booths). This is the reason I always go back despite the following CONs:
There have been 3 occasions where I got sprayed and literally did not change color. This is not an error on my part as obviously, I am an expert.
The parking is ridiculous. I like to go after work on Fridays and they already have parking attendants for Friday night happy hour taking cars. Seriously! And it is not better on other days I have gone.
Sometimes the machines drip water. This is a HUGE problem because it will make you look like a dalmation.
There is almost always a wait for spray. How about you get rid of a few of the cancer causing UV booths and add more spray.
They always try to upsell the prep. It does not make a difference don’t bother.
Other locations have been far less of a headache so I would suggest those over this one.
If you are looking for a good spray tan at a decent price go here but prepare yourself for the headache that I have mentioned above.

The staff there is not good. On Saturday, the woman showed up 30 minutes late to open the place and was carrying food from McDonald’s. She simply said «I didn’t think anyone would be here at 9.» No apologies or anything.
Then, I got a coupon for a free prep before spray tanning. I asked her how it worked and she told me the wrong thing about how it would be applied and said «I’ve never used it before but I think it sprays after the tan». I’m no fool, but I know anything called prep doesn’t come after anything…

I’ve been using this place for a few years now and I’ve just about had enough of it. The staff is very friendly so this post has nothing to do with them. All this post has to do with is the music and how it’s it completely pointless. You can’t hear any music when you’re in the tanning bed. Today I asked to be put in a bed with speakers that worked. The woman behind the desk said «they all should work»… So needless to say she put me in room two and like usual there was no sound. Having the radio playing is a BASIC thing for a tanning salon. It’s not like I’m asking for an auxiliary cord, like most modern tanning salons have, just fix your speakers.

One issue after the next. They made my daughter have a credit card in her name to go here then she wasn’t even aloud to use it. I would call or go in to get important information just to have someone else always say that was wrong. We went there for a few months and bought 6 bottles of lotions. While we were waiting patiently without even being recognized we were there, we noticed they started selling eye wear. Lady finally comes up and required us to show proof of it which we never have done and she is only person still that makes me. Yes. I had to buy a pair (still in case). Then as I sat there waiting for my daughter to finish I watched her allow a non member to tan even though I was told months before that was not aloud. I was forced to pay for a package of I believe 6 visits to go without a membership. (which in the very beginning I was told I couldn’t do anything without membership) they claim their rules remain the same but I saw them constantly change. Business wise they were awful just like parking there. I’d rather pay more and go elsewhere.

Maybe one of the last places I want to roll up to with no makeup on for my spray tan. Busy strip of shops on Howard with people dressed up to go out all around you. Also, the staff members are ridiculously good looking, making me feel even grosser in my no makeup and spray tan bum clothes. The parking lot is pretty much the worst-​really tight spots IF you are lucky enough to find one. Membership is reasonably priced but not when you factor in the fender bender that I feel will inevitably happen one day in the stupid parking lot. There is almost always a line of 3+ people which can mean a 45 min wait. It seems like they always have some of the machines out of service which makes the line even longer.
I’m going to cancel after the obligatory 2 month membership period and I’m already dreading having issues with the corporate office (who you CANNOT get through to on the phone. You also can’t call this shop directly to find out about wait, etc). Almost positive I will be charged for at least some part of an extra month.
All of that being said, the staff members have always been very nice and helpful. Sign up process was pretty easy. Quality of machines and spray tans seems good.

I have had a membership here for a year or so, and I have a love hate relationship with Zoom Tan. I love the spay tanning booths (when they are working). However, even when they are working there are only 3 spray booths. In the SoHo location there are TONS of women (and men) who like to get tanned so there is usually a line. I like the color I get from their tan and for the price I just can seem to break up with Zoom Tan but I do wish they had more spray booths.

I am only giving it one star because the tan itself was good. The location and company headquarters are HORRIBLE! They are rude and incompetent. They make you feel like you are trying to buy drugs when you check in with all the rules and ID required. When we called corporate they were so rude it is unbelievable. They said that «if we didn’t want to abide by their rules then we didn’t need to use their services.» Works for me. I would definitely not recommend this place.

Ok place.

At first, I had an issue with how corporate this company is, but I really can’t complain. The booths are always clean and the waste baskets are always empty. I’ve never spray tanned but I have a Gold UV membership for about $ 22/​month — which, to me, is very reasonable.
The staff is always very personable, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, I don’t like the fact that the music is (usually) inaudible from inside the UV booth.
Also, being located on South Howard, the parking lot is always crowded and I do wish that the customers from the businesses located in the strip mall would be given priority parking, rather than solely serving as the overflow parking from MacDinton’s.
Though this membership has a few small downsides — if you’re closest to the SoHo location, it is a respectable, clean, and affordable tanning salon.

Great experience w/​spray tan. They have an awesome deal for monthly spray, clean, quick & easy.
I’m now a monthly member for the uv component, I pay 10.99 a month for unlimited. Tanning is only used by me in situations that deem immediate tan action– when I’m deathly pale and need to re-​establish a base before heading back out in the hot florida sun, or if there is an occasion that merits a healthy glow.
The facility is always clean, I bring my own headphones to jam to my own music because theirs is piped in, and I’m in & out in 20 minutes or less.
