Organic and socially responsible delicious coffee. Somehow espresso drinks and Mexican hot chocolate tastes better when the baristas are pro-peace. Small corner café, limited seating, no bathrooms. I’m an espresso connoisseur, and World Cup delivers. A+.

Tiny, warm and welcoming. Tiny little bar seating with Windows seating to the side to see the main Blvd. they have a few snacks for a sweet tooth. One negative for me is that they don’t have almond milk! I don’t do dairy or coconut due to a severe allergy. So I brought my own almond milk. Parking is terrible but the place is so warm and welcoming. I don’t believe they have a restroom available for customers. They have several little post cards to chose from which is a sweet touch. Send out a little letter while sipping on a cup of coffee.

We were driving though Taos and my Americanos on both visits were excellent! The first day– Service was good and we chatted with a «traveler» outside of the shop who was friendly and didn’t ask for anything. The second day– Great Americano still, but the barista made a point to say I paid with a $ 20 bill(CASHONLY) and I agreed. She then shorted me $ 10 when giving me my change– which made it weird when I questioned her. It seemed fishy. Tips: Delicious coffee… have exact change!

It’s a cute shop, but a blonde woman helped me and she has an attitude and was super rude. She didn’t even let me finish my sentence before assertively telling me what my total was, I wanted to buy something else but after how rude she was I decided not to. I’m a barista too, I get dealing with people all day but it was just a very unwelcoming vibe. I’ll find a different coffee shop the next time I’m Taos for sure.

I am pretty agnostic when it comes to where I buy my coffee. I don’t care who you voted for in the last election, so long as you can make coffee to my liking. I ordered an iced Americano. Nothing fancy. It should be a drink that cannot be eff’d up. But they did. The Americano was bitter and I ended up throwing it away. I can’t remember the last time I tossed a drink. Baristas can screw things up once in a while. It happens. Unfortunately, we were on the road and couldn’t turn around to have the drink re-made. That being said, I give the World Cup an extra star for being an independent coffee house, which I always support over corporate coffee.

We just traveled x-country(from Phoenix to the East coast and back) and I can honestly say this was the best coffee I had on the entire trip! I’m usually a straight cappuccino or espresso drinker but noticed they had some unique«local to the area» type menu items. I asked and was convinced into the iced mocha Borgia. It was amazing — strong coffee taste with a dark chocolate and orange zest. It was a treat. As for the«communist» atmosphere, I disagree. They have some anti-establishment bumper stickers hanging up(which I agreed with and might order online!) but who cares if you agree with them or not, didn’t you come here for good coffee? And it was! Now I’ll be on the hunt for something this delicious close to home.

Coffee is good, but the surly attitude from the workers detracts from the enjoyment. Hardly look at customers, tight lipped and as perfunctory delivery as needed to get you out of the tiny shop. Closing early on days with no reason. I went multiple days before writing a review. Part of the culture of coffee is communication and pleasantry. Those virtues are lost on this place. Try Café Tazza up the street. A much more mellow hippie vibe even if the coffee isn’t always quite as fresh.

The coffee was really good. The barista’s attitude was a little unwelcoming. They didn’t take credit cards. The shop was small. The next time I will send my husband in for the coffee.

My boyfriend and I stopped in on a whim. I love the fact that all the ingredients are organic and grown locally. It’s a small shop, but very cozy and warm. We both had white mochas and a chocolate chip cookie. They were pretty good. He and I are used to the overly sweet Starbucks version. I’d go back again if ever in the area.

ok, this place was great. The lady that helped me today was simply rad. I originally ordered a macchiato, but over heard her saying something about their organic house-made whip cream so I opted to change to a dopio con panna(double shot with whipped cream). It was SO good!!! In fact… it was so good the lady made one for herself!

I totally agree with Chris B. If you need a delicious cup full of extreme leftism & socialism from a COMMUNIST coffeehouse you have come to the right place. Super cute inside, the walls are filled with money from all over the world & tons of signs that oppose capitalism. Not just anti capitalists signs, signs against big corporate business, signs that read they are against the«man» & signs that read«rich your days are numbered» & «where is that change you believe in» & «occupy the world» & capitalism is organized crime! Tons of them, posted everywhere. I get it. Your a communist & want big government. You want to level the playing field. You want everyone to be taken care of equally. You dream of a utopia THATCANNEVEREXIST!!! It was Christmas morning. They were the only place open. We walked in & got a shot of espresso & communism. We also got two large Mexican cocoas to go, bc the hippy communist LOVE was too overwhelming for me. But, bc they are against the«man» & don’t take credit cards hubby had to run two blocks to a cash machine to get some cash to pay, leaving me alone in the den of extreme leftism. By the time he got back with the cash I had read all the walls & drank my giant mexican coco. It was excellent. It was also in a solo cup & solo lid. Where do you think they make those hippy? In CORPORATE America! Your business couldn’t survive without BIGBUSINESS& tax payers don’t want to PAY for EVERYONE to live equally you warped hippy! Your coffee is amazing but you serve it in paper & plastic SOLO cups that come from CORPORATEBIGBUSINESS hypocrite. Love your coffee :)

Need coffee? This is the place. From a bunch of COMMUNISTS! But in a good way. The world needs more people like the owners of this shop, fighting the corporate monstrosity. While having a delightful latte and reading the NYT on a Sunday morning, what do we see??? El Zorro, and his sidekick riding by on their horses. Black masks, swords, conchos, the whole nueve yards. He proceeded to make an obscene gesture at the barista(with his tongue, very creepy). She said, «He does that every day. It’s just gross.»

had two diff experiences here. day 1. excellent, kind service. had a machiatto which was perfect, as was the small cap with an extra shot. coffee is slightly bitter, but still good. drag that there are only to– go cups for a capacinno that is for here. but the gal, short, anglo, brown hair,) was so nice. even filled up my water bottle.(i was hiking.) think she is also a massage therapist.(overheard her talking) next day, again got a small cappucino with an extra shot. the menu lists small medium and large. small is 3 bucks. xtra shot is .75. day 1 they charged 3.75, quite right. next day, the dark haired girl with glasses i think, looked maybe hispano, charges 4. not that a quarter makes much difference, but its the point. so i ask, yesterday it was 3.75, and your menu lists 3 bucks for a small, and .75 for extra shots. she says, rather a bit arrogantly, that«double» cappucinos are $ 4.00 thing is, there is not such a thing listed as a «double» cap, only small med and large, and a medium is not 4.00„ because it also has more milk. i point this out, and she again just repeats, like an automotan, «a double cappacino is $ 4.00» they dont have doubles on the menu. what a bunch of rubbish. she lost her tip and i wont be back, and here is this review that, had she been like the person on day 1, would be 4 stars. all to overcharge me by a quarter? rubbish.

I would give it 5.5 stars, but that is not at option on Unilocal! This place is rad. I love it so much that my husband bought a pound of their espresso for my birthday present. Oh it is so great! Absolutely a gem! All the locals drink their espresso(is it espressi?) here. It feels like everyone knows each there at this café. I notice you can also read the NY Times here. The service is quick and the lines may appear long but they move real fast. There is some seating out front in the form of benches and stools inside near the bar if you want to be in the cool air conditioning. There is parking out front and some people just come in and grab to go. I see that have other stuff besides beverages like cookies, biscotti, and chocolate. Everything is organic and mostly local. I’m pretty sure their coffee beans came straight from Italy. I know that their granola is absolutely delicious, with oat nuts, banana chips, and sliced dried almonds, and oat milk, it was fantastic. I bet this is the healthiest breakfast I ever had ever! Before I left, I had to get a I love World Cup Café bumper sticker which I will use as a regular sticker(not having car will do that to you).

First experience was 4-Star. Good Coffee, Friendly Service. Second? Flat out ONE Star. Stale Coffee, and outright RUDE service. The too-cool-to-be-your-Barista chicky was even rude to the new girl she was training. And she subtly let me know that she was a bitch with her«Coffee Art.»(See Photo) Guess the third time might be the charm, but I won’t be finding out.
