I took my kids to get their hair cut at the salon on a Sunday afternoon(Jan. 11, 2015). I did not have an appointment and was a walk-in. I was disappointed by the service I received at the front desk. The woman pretty much looked like she would have rather been anywhere else. She wasn’t rude, but wasn’t friendly. She never offered to take my coat, nor were we offered seats. I stood for more than a half an hour while both of my kids had their hair cut. We were in the first station on the left, so this woman basically watched me stand the entire time and could have cared less(I probably would have stood anyway since there was no where to sit close to where my kids were, but I have always at least been offered a seat before). I never even learned the name of the woman who cut their hair. I witnessed this behavior with other customers. A woman stood there for a few minutes waiting to be helped while I was being checked out. There was no «Hi, I’ll be with you in a minute.» She was completely ignored. When she was finally helped, she told the woman her name and appointment time, then had to ask if she could hand up her coat. The woman at the front desk practically sighed and rolled her eyes. I don’t expect to be treated like a princess, but this salon has always made sure I felt pampered, so this experience did not meet my expectations based on past experiences. I have had great experiences at this salon before, but this particular one was not stellar.
