It was like, painfully slow. 5 minutes to be seated, 10 minutes to get a waitress to come over, 20 minutes to get drinks, 25 minutes to get food. This is NOT fast food. The shakes are very good, and I’ve never had anything really that bad there. The food is very inexpensive, so you can’t expect all that much quality wise. I do appreciate that they always seem to have very fresh lettuce and tomato. I hate limp veggies on sandwiches. The people that work there are nice, but the speed of service is a real problem. I don’t understand why they can’t get it together. There are a ton of teenagers working there, I don’t know if that has anything to do with it though. They make a decent burger, and my husband craves their shoestring fries sometimes, but you should never ever come here if you’re in a hurry or on any type of time schedule. You need at least an hour and a half to eat here on a weekend.

The drive thru is so slow. They have messed up my order several times. They gave me iced tea with no ice. The last time I ordered. The burger was smashed into a mess in the wrapper and the fries were raw. It’s a shame because I have been to others where the burger was great. The fries were crispy and the tea had ice. I hope they teach their workers how to do the job

I hate to be negative in a review… especially for a fast food place that isn’t terrible… HOWEVER this is the worst Steak n Shake that I have been to. The service is consistently slow, to the point that you may get a meal faster at one of the other nearby non-fast food establishments faster, I have been here a number of times over the past few years hoping for things to improve, but to no avail… maybe someday it will get better and I will update the review. The last time that I went here we stopped in quick(when we should have known better) because we wanted to catch a movie that started at 7:35…Figured it would be a safe bet for us to get in and out when we showed up at 6:30…It took over 40 minutes for us to get our meals, the manager was very apologetic and nice though and comped our meal even though we didn’t express a complaint to him or the waitress. When our meals finally did come out mine was incorrect. They went to fix it at which point my wife continued to have her meal and finished her meal, 20 minutes went by and my sandwich never came out… we threw down a tip and rushed out to catch the 8:10 movie since the previous one was long out the window. I never did get my sandwich and ate at popcorn at the movie for dinner. :( Do yourself a favor and hit up 5 Guys, Red Robin, Johnny Rocket’s, Chili’s, or any other nearby place for a burger if you need one. It’s a shame because I usually like Steak N Shake as a change of pace for a quick bite… and their milkshakes are pretty good.
