This is a neat hidden gem in Tarpon Springs named after his 4 yr old lab Duncan! The owner is fantastic and the ice cream and Gelato are amazing! He can make a phenominal macchiato. I am not a huge coffee fan but LOVE the ones he makes! Will go back every time we are in the area!

Yet another neat, small local business that I stumbled upon while in Tarpon Springs for the annual Sponge Docks Seafood Festival. Duncan’s is a small shop(maybe seats 6 – 8 people inside) and boasts of homemade ice creams. I’m not sure, but I believe the gelatos are all homemade as well. I stopped in here for the ice cream and gelato sampling… okay, mostly for the gelato sampling. They had a couple flavors that I really liked: pumpkin cheesecake, Caramel Apple Spice and Mackinaw Island Fudge. Myself, being a MI native, could not pass up on the latter flavor. Before I could even get the question of «Is this made with real, authentic(white) Mackinaw Island fudge?», the guy told me that it was(His Dad used to work on the Island — yay! Who knew that I’d find a little home flavor this far away??). As I stated before, the shop is small(as is all of the shops in this area) and the décor is red and white with an old school diner ambiance sans counter top and bar stools. I definitely felt almost like I stepped back in time but I’m not sure if that is what they were going for. Overall, the place was cool, the gelatos were pretty good and the guys working were very nice. I would definitely consider stopping in again, if in the area.
