I’m SO grateful for Star West Motors! Aram and his team are fantastic & the best in the business — always honest, ethical, trustworthy, so nice, efficient, & very knowledgeable about all types of cars (including high-​performance sports cars, restored classic cars, etc). Cars are their passion, they take pride in their work, and it shows in the excellent quality of their services. I’ll never take my car anywhere else, and I tell all my friends & family about their high quality work, honesty, and professionalism. So take your car to Star West and you’ll never be disappointed!

I stumbled upon Star West Motors as my tire had blown flat off the highway. Immediately as I pulled in, Aram and his crew were to the rescue! I was blown away by the efficiency. Everyone was so gracious and kind, it was truly a blessing that bI stumbled upon them. Aram was beyond nice and kept me company while my tire was changed. I can not say enough good things about this place. 2 thumbs up! as a young girl naïve to the business of cars, I was completely taken care of. Thank you so much Aram! I WILL be back!

Brought my car in for a tune up. I was greeted with hospitality. Their customer service is great. All of my questions were answered. Aram and his staff were more than happy to explain the entire process of a tune up to me. Fair pricing… Quality work!

I had the pleasure of having Aram and his team work on my car after having a horrible experience by a prior oil change guy who messed up the main fuse for my car engine. These guys are very nice, professional and reasonable! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a trusty mechanic.

Aram and the team do fantastic work. My CJ7 started acting funny — not like haha funny — more like «that’s odd» funny. Anyhow, they had it fixed quickly for a more than reasonable price. Aram also discovered a potentially catastrophic problem with my motor mounts and took care of that too. The best!

I’ve been using this place from time to time for about 10 years. Always very friendly and quick! They would go extra mile to make customer happy. Love to say thank you to Aram and Ben. Definitely recommend to everyone! They by the way are open on Sundays

My husband and I have been coming here for years to have our cars serviced. They are not like most car service places where they try and swindle you out of your money. The most recent incident, I had to get a quick oil change elsewhere, and the technician told me that I needed my batteries changed (that it would only last for 3 months). I took it to Star West, and they told me that I didn’t need it. My car hasn’t needed a new battery for over a year now. Countless other things they’ve done to help me save on car repair/​maintenance costs. Aram and the crew here are fantastic! Better than 5 stars :)

Besides Ben and Aram being the NICEST two «car» people, it is the best repair spot in the SF Valley. Attention to detail incredible, and it’s actually lovely to wait for your car if you’re able. Very very nice waiting area. I recommend this facility very, very highly. Honesty is always the best policy and that’s who they are.

If you have a car and drive it then you’ll need somebody to look after it when needed,
This is the place to do just that.
It’s difficult to find honest and trustworthy people, especially in Los Angeles, but when you do you hang on to them for dear life.
Go visit this place and hang out with them for a few hours to savor integrity.

This place is seriously the best! Staff is friendly and honest. I’ve been taking my car here for years and completely trust them. Whenever my car needed work I used to bid it out with other auto shops and this place always had the lowest prices and did the best job. I no longer even think about taking it anywhere else.
Even if you don’t live in Tarzana (I don’t anymore) it’s worth the trip. So glad someone recommended this place to me!

I was extremely pleased with my visit to Star West Motors! I am relatively new to the area and was looking for someone quick & honest for regular maintenance. I called and spoke with the man up front the day before and was in the next day for auto service. They gave me the quick, honest service I needed – none of the extra upsells you may be expecting from your new mechanic. I was especially pleased to be advised that my make of hybrid needs oil every 6000 miles; they could have told me to come in every 3000 to try and make more money, but again, they appeared very honest. That will bring me back in 6000 miles without question!

Finding a Car mechanic that you can trust with your car and give you a fair price is not easy. Aram the owner gave me a fair price and stuck to it even that when it took more effort and time to fix then originally anticipated.
The service was great, he explained the issue thoroughly and was very pleasant to talk to.

well… its been over 2 years now since I began coming to Aram for my car needs. After tune-​ups, oil changes, tires, shocks, and various other items… I feel safe bringing my car here. I dont feel ripped off here. I work down the street, so its easy for me. Aram also walked over to my store to give me a rebate form for 1 free shock I just got installed… NICE !!!

Great service with an honest face. We went there to check a used car we were going to purchase. They ignored the seller, who was trying to prevent the inspection, and gave us a fair estimate of the problems.

Star West Motors deserves 6 stars, only if it was possible. My experience here exceeded my expectations. Driving back on 101 southbound to LA after a 102 F degree Trail Run into the Canyons of Malibu, I guess one of my tires decided to give up! I pulled off the next exit which was Reseda and saw Star West Motors on the corner of my eye.

As I pulled in I was greeted right away by a Star West Employee, he told me the side walls are destroyed by driving on it too long. He showed me by inflating the tire and sure enough the tire wall looked very crooked & smooshed! So I guess it’s time to put on the spare, oh wait a minute, the vehicle does not come standard with a spare. One of the managers/​owners came out and gave me some options for used or new tires. It was a very fair price and chose a new tire option.

The manager/​owner told me to go inside to take care of the paper work. This is where I met Aram (possibly another owner), a very nice guy and we had a quick chat about the tire flat and the city of Tarzana. He insisted in offering me cold bottled water even though I told him I already had water in my car. Such great service with the outside temperature at 100 °F Degrees. Then the other manager/​owner walked in the back door and said to come out to see the damaged tire. He said, «I want you to learn and know for the next time you get a flat what happens to a tire if it’s driven on too long with no air pressure.» Wow now I’m getting a lesson at a tire shop. He pointed out the damages and it looked quite bad and the interior of the tire filled with shreds of rubber. I could have saved the tire if I didn’t drive off the ramp to the shop. =(

Finished the payment for the tire and signed the contract, as 1pm approached Aram handed me the keys and told me I’m all set to go. I forgot to mention Star West Motors does repairs too not just tires, their vehicle bays upon my arrival were full of cars being worked on and had a customer waiting in line and I was in and out in 30mins! including a full tire install & balance. I told Aram this was the best & fastest experience I had at a car repair shop. Aram responded, «We don’t like to have customers waiting long.» I agree to that 101%!! His whole team worked together quickly to resolve my issue and they were all very HONEST!!! No upsells or anything like that either. The most important thing they try to save customers like me $$$ by giving me some tips for the next time I have a flat. I gave my thanks to Aram & the other Star West Employees before I left.

Aram and the gang at Star West are great. They have been taking care of my families car repairs for a few years. They never try to upsell us on anything or rip us off. All the repair work we have had done was performed fairly quickly and in a very professional manner.
Most recently my sister’s volvo had a maintenance light come on. We called Aram and he said we could bring it in the same day. He performed some routine maintenance, topped off all the fluids, changed the oil, and replaced all the burned out bulbs. $ 75 for all of that and it was done the same day.

I have been going to Zaven at this location for 5 years now. He is definitely one of the good guys. Not everyone grasps the concept that you will make more money off a customer in the long run if he keeps coming back than by ripping him off just once.
The shop is busy most of the time, but Zaven has a way of always being able to squeeze me in.
