Super 8 Taylor/Detroit Area

I don’t recommend staying here. We walked in to find a few thugs hanging around which did not make us feel safe. At night around back, there were a few shady characters drinking and smoking in the lot. The back door was not locked so anyone could walk in. I promise the one girl was a meth head. I wasn’t excited to have had park my car around back. The room itself was kind of dirty. I’ve been feeling itchy all day so I hope I didn’t get bed bugs. I would not walk on the floor w bare feet. It felt gross. The breakfast food was nothing great. It sounded like there was someone walking around all night above us. It’s not horrible but I’d advise you to stay somewhere else, you’ll probably feel safer.

Horrible customer service. Heater in my room didn’t work, it would constantly blow cold air and then switch to warm for 30 seconds then return back to cool. I was told it can’t blow hot air all the time or it would get to hot in the room and I would get sweaty… Well needless to say it never warmed up so I asked to switch to a new room the next day. The refrigerator didn’t work, when I asked for a new fridge they asked if I really needed to keep something cold.
Showers are dirty, hotel is VERY run down, besides there small room improvements (new tv, comfy mattress)
Avoid staying at the Super 8 in Taylor MI if possible!!!

Dirty coffee maker. No regular bath towel, just small ones. No comforter. broken microwave. Crt tv. Broken hair drier. bad pillows. Do you need more? Ok, nails on the bath floor.
Nice front desk people though.
Breakfast. Fresh fruit, milk, coffee, English muffins, waffles, corn flakes, bread, Apple juice, orange juice.
No eggs, sausage, etc. it’s vegan breakfast I guess.

If i could give this place a zero it would be too much. My company sent me here for 10 days training and the minute i walked in my room i called them and said no way in hell am staying another minute. Trust me when i say you wouldn’t even want to have a one night stand in the place. I was transfer to the red roof inn just 5 minutes away and they have clean my room 2 times in 4 days…

My wife stayed here for one night because she had an interview in the area. She got bed bugs from the place, came home the next day, started swelling up, and has pink blotches on her arms, legs and face. Now we’re going to have to pay a pest control company $ 750 to treat our home over 5 weeks and possibly get rid of some linens and furniture. When I called Super 8 they told me they’d call back in 10 days and if they didn’t, for me to just call them again. We won’t be staying at a Super 8 again.

Not 2 bad. No pen, no paper, no Bible. But at least the room was clean n they have cable. Minimal continental breakfast.
