Low-key, and hole-in-the-wall-in-plain-sight type place that has a few gems amongst its unsuspecting menu. Their fruit drinks are entirely made of actual fruit, without additives and squeezed fresh. Now, how often can you find kind of freshness nowadays without a $ 7 price tag?

I’ve been to this place once before and I didn’t mind it. Bu this time I made an order online they told me that it would be ready in 10 – 35 minutes. I then arrived 20 minutes later and found out that they no longer use Eat24 so my order was not ready. What really got me upset was the fact that they had my order printed out but they didn’t process it nor did they call me or anything. To top it all off they told me to wait and they’ll prepare my food, I had to wait an extra 16 minutes and they gave me the wrong order. Never coming to this place again.

Coffee was okay but the smoothie is a joke. I saw her make it with their Ninja and basically they added fruit, water, ice and a dash of milk. Oh and let me not forget the four large scopes of sugar. Basically I got a water fruit drink now smoothie. And she gave me the wrong change back.

The saddest arepas ever! I can’t believe I paid $ 15 for 2 arepas! No flavor and almost empty inside! Even la masa se la sacaron toda! Makes me sad! I wanted to be good!

Found a little gem! Fresh fruit smoothies that taste lovely and won’t cost you $ 12. Inviting and friendly staff, as well. Love that it’s on the way to the city right off the highway. Will be coming back to try more!

I’ve been here a couple of times, and I must say I’m completely unsatisfied. The arroz con leche(rice pudding) tastes absolutely horrendous, the worst I ever had. It had no flavor and the rice was hard as well. The papaya shake taste more like milk than actual papaya. When I asked for it to be remade it tasted worse; which I didn’t think was possible. Another time I went here, I saw the cashier running away from the register exclaiming she saw a rat fall from the ceiling. Which then a customer offered to help her catch the rat and she said its ok I don’t need any help and continued to apologize to the customer. As I was leaving after seeing this fiasco, I heard the cashier mention the rat problem is a regular issue for them. I will not be coming here again after that day. I have had a couple of people I know who work there for a brief time and also mentioned there is a huge rat problem and a dirty kitchen.

Wow. Really fantastic coffee at a reasonable price. I had a café mocha and my dad had a late. Both were excellent and made meticulously. Clean store and friendly staff. The pastries looked delicious, but I resisted temptation; I won’t do that next time.

Always wanted to check this place out… small hole in the wall feel… small hole in the wall great food and service! We had the fireman man arepa, cheese arepa, Latte & Cappuccino… delicious! Will definitely go back! I didn’t give it a 5 star because the lounge chairs are a bit low and beat up. That won’t stop me from going back though.

Quaint, quiet, friendly and yummy. What more could u ask for on a Sunday morning! coffee so smooth and Arepas are tasty. Love the hot and pink sauces. Great option when on Teaneck for a quiet place to enjoy the sun shining thru the window and relax. Thank you Angie!

I’m always on the look out for a place that makes arepas. It’s crazy how this place is a 5 minute drive from work, and I never knew about it. Guess where I found out about it? Unilocal,of course! haha I decided to get a cheese arepa and coffee to go. The arepa was pretty yummy! It wasn’t overly cheesy, as I’ve had in the past. Can’t decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Next time, I think I’ll try one of their more extravagant arepas. Overall, Coffecol has lots of options and great prices! The woman who took my order was also super friendly!

Let me start this off by saying that I don’t take my coffee lightly. This place makes the best coffee I’ve ever had! Hands down. They make great apps and deserts. The waitress was so helpful and quick. My experience was fantastic. I definitely recommend this spot! I’ll be back.

Simple little place with quality food and coffee. They seem to offer a massive array of food and drink. A relaxing little gem in an otherwise dull and dreary strip of Teaneck road.

Quite nice Colombo-American food. Go for any of the Arepa Burgers; they’re delicious. It was nice to know they use organic guacamole made from real avocados.

Ordered an iced latte that tasted more like coffee-flavored milk. So disappointed. Anywhere with«coffee» in their name should be able to make decent espresso drinks. The cashier was completely apathetic and didn’t offer to try and fix the drink, just said«That’s a latte.» Then I noticed they offer a Vegan item, only to see fresh mozzarella in the ingredients. I pointed it out to the cashier who once again, could care less. Not coming back here again.

Service is prompt, seating is comfortable, food is yummy, wifi is free, and coffee is fabulous. I tried an arepa classica as an afternoon snack with a bottle of Coffeecol’s own lemonade. My only arepa experience to date has been carnival stand versions that are closer to overly sweet corn muffin patty sandwiches overflowing with cheese. Apparently arepas are more of a cornmeal(not sweet though) patty sandwich of anything you want! Turkey, roasted peppers, mozz, avocado, veggie only, meat only — have it your way. My classica was filled with a generous portion of scrambled eggs. It needed salt and pepper, but was cooked expertly and served folded and in a wrapper like a crêpe. The lemonade was fair, but tasted a bit more like crystal lite or powdered style mix than fresh. Not that it promised to be fresh, so no loss there. This is officially my go to coffee shop, snack and meal stop in the Teaneck and Hackensack area.

Coffeecol is great! Came here with my sister on a Sunday for brunch after a friend recommended it. I ordered the cappucino which looked awesome in the photos and it was delicious! There was no one in the store so service was very quick and the girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I was so excited to try the arepa for the first time. I ordered the El Paso Arepa(chorizo, black beans, jalapeño, white cheese and plantains) and my sister ordered The Queen Arepa(shredded chicken, guacamole, tomato and white cheese). We both thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches, they were very filling and came out very quickly! The Arepa was good, kind of like pita bread on the outside but potatoey on the inside, yummy! They also came with a spicy sauce and pink sauce which complimented the sandwiches perfectly and added that extra kick. It was also great price-wise, they have very reasonable prices. Just be aware they charge a fee if you use a credit card and it’s less than $ 20, the cashier told us this before, the fee is only 50 cents so no big deal to me. Overall Coffeecol was a great find, great food, reasonable prices and good vibes. Definitely recommend trying it!

PROS: –Very beautiful, cozy décor. I loved the chairs. Nice big menu up front. –The cashier was lovely, though when I first walked in no one was behind the counter. –Affordable prices. I ordered 2 café con leches and a marble cake all for $ 5.50 CONS: –The tables are so squished together, I had no way of pulling any chairs out. –I ordered the marble cake and it was so stale that it mutilated the fork. There were no knives either. –There is no real garbage can. All I can find was a tiny waste bin, which could fit maybe a couple cups. –Café con leche was good but nothing special. It tasted like regular coffee –My boyfriend said his drink contained bits of plastic in it. –There was spanish music playing in the background, which I felt excluded many potential customers who don’t speak spanish. It didn’t feel welcoming to non-spanish folks. –There’s a fee if you use a credit/debit card

Wow, this is opened at 6am, on a Saturday! That alone deserves 3 stars, then add on the service, and the food, what an awesome spot! Before hiking, we stopped by here to fill up on something hearty. We ordered El Paso arepa and the Skirt arepa. El Paso was delicious and hearty, very hearty to the point we couldn’t finish it. It was like a burrito filled with chorizo, beans, plantains, and jalapenos. Great flavor and will definitely fill you up for hours. Skirt steak arepa was much lighter in weight, and unfortunately, also in flavor. The skirt steak wasn’t seasoned very well so it just tasted bland. Our hostess brought us some spicy sauce as well as russian dressing so it make the food a bit more flavorful. I didn’t get to try their breakfast arepas but there were several choices to choose from that sounded very good. Definitely worth a revisit if you’re on the way through Teaneck from NYC going upstate or another destination west.

I love this place. I found it via Unilocal and stop by whenever I am in the area. It is delicious, cheap, comfortable, and the employees are very friendly. There is also free wifi and outlets! There are tables with very comfortable chairs and the décor is clean, pleasant, and cozy. All of this makes for an amazing place to work. Really there are no downsides. The café con leche is delicious and I always get a cup. The fireman arepa was great. I’ve also tried some of their deserts which were good. The employees are always eager to recommend something if I’m not sure. I’d be here a lot more often if I lived nearby.
