Absolutely the truth, 5 stars all the way.
Selection is top tier, on the rare occasion they don’t have what you want, they order it for you or get it in a few days from their sister store, Sky High in San Marcos.
The staff is phenomenal, happy to spend time with you, discuss your interests, answer questions, and point you in the direction of other comics or games you might enjoy. I feel welcomed every time I walk in the door. SoCal Games and Comics is home, and I recommend anyone else take the time to visit the shop and meet the staff. A treat.

The place is huge and always a bunch of people there which is nice to see. They have huge tables too which is really nice for tabletop games. Only thing I docked them on are the prices are a higher than Ryan’s Comics. If I could give 4.5 I would have. Great place!

Great customer service. Able to find what I wanted really quick. Mathias is very knowledgable and friendly!!! Would definitely check them out again on my next visit.

Seriously this place is awesome! I brought my 3 year old niece here & she absolutely loved it! We got comic books for her & my husband! There’s literally something for everyone! Good job guys! Thanks for the friendly & family atmosphere!

Unprofessional. Contacted SoCal Games and Comics about a week ago to see if they were interested in buying any. My fiancé was contacted by Matthias who said he would take a look at the inventory. We live pretty far away, so we sent a document with details. Matthias contacted back saying he was only interested in story lines. So my fiancé spent all night going through 2000 comics to sort out what they might want. Matthias had told him to come in after 3pm. So my Fiancé travels the 45 minutes, 7 boxes of comics in tow. When he arrives, the comic buyer is on lunch. Okay, so he waits an entire hour for him to get back. When he arrives, he informs my fiancé that they aren’t buying any comics or action figures for a few weeks! Well that’s fine, we have other purchasers interested, but the fact that he couldn’t shoot an email or Facebook message to let us know that wasn’t possible is deplorable after basically saying all week that they would be able to do something. Ended up wasting gas just for them to do something so unprofessional. How do you run a business when the people behind the front desk couldn’t even be bothers to relay the news -.-

Long Story Short, Love these guys.
Always met with a smile, the offer great suggestions for reading.
They have a fair amount of back issues for the time they have been open.
Lastly a good open area for various board games (I am not one, but still nice to see).
Also a modest but well chosen assortment of collectables. I get my stuff there and will continue to do so. Good Job Dudes and Dudettes.

This place rocks. Great selection of games, comics, and other stuff I didn’t know I needed! Best shop in Temecula/​Murrieta. The owners/​staff are top notch, friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make even the newest players/​readers feel welcome.

The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The store is clean and comfortable. The environment is full on gaming and comic fun. I love this place.

The good: Large store, they have tons of comics, old and new. Most of the shop is taken up by tables where you will find various games going on, such as D&D, Warhammer, Magic etc. They’ve got a large selection of board games and card games for sale. They’ve got some toys and statues etc for sale, but not a whole lot. The staff is generally pretty friendly, and there seems to be no less than 5 people working at any given time
The bad: Sometimes, when they have tournaments going on, if you go in with only the intention of making a purchase, and not participating in the gaming, you can expect to stand for awhile at the register before any of the (many) staff acknowledge your presence and help you with the sale. My biggest gripe however, is the location of the new comics releases is absolutely terrible. It’s crammed in a very narrow corner with a large shelf in the way, making it impossible for more than one or two people to browse at one time. The new releases really need to be moved to a better location.
I prefer Ryan’s comics in Murrieta over this shop, but I frequent SoCal often because they usually carry books that Ryan’s doesn’t. Overall, I recommend the shop. I personally give it a 3 ½ star rating, but since I can’t so that, I’ll give them a 4.

Best store that I have ever been to. Most friendly and knowledgeable staff, huge gaming area, large selection in tabletop games, comics, and board games. You never need to go anywhere else. If you haven’t been here yet, stop reading this and head down there.

This is an awesome store for MTG and tabletop gamers alike. First of all, the staff is incredibly helpful in every aspect. Raul especially goes out of his way to help, and is always welcoming and happy to have people in the store, whether to buy, play, or just look around. Second, and perhaps most important to me, their prices on singles is very fair and comparable to online prices; additionally, they are usually very well stocked. Though I typically play at another local game store, the times I have played here were excellent. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff, took the time to answer my questions with respect, patience and kindness unlike the other shop nearby *cough*Ryans*cough*. Look forward to coming back again this week.

Shop just opened up a couple months ago and love the store. Nice tall ceilings and plenty of open gaming space. Very different from the typical image of comic book and gaming stores I’ve been to in the past. This place was well-​lit and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Store is covered with recent comics, a great selection of board games and miniature games and maybe the greatest selection of Magic the gathering in the area. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

I heard that SoCal was opening up so quickly after the other local gaming shop (Thou Shalt Game) was closing. Which was a staple in the local gaming community, but I can say this was a much needed change.
SoCal Games and Comics is much better on every level. Customer service and aesthetically.
Aesthetically the place is super spacious, clean, and doesn’t smell bad at all (incredil rare for a «gaming shop»). The high ceilings make it feel less cramped, they have great climate control so it doesn’t feel like a muggy nerd swamp. The shop is incredibly organized wall to wall. They have an incredibly huge comic book/​comic trade selection, as well as a huge selection of board games and hobby games to choose from. I especially like that they have a lot of games you can demo with staff or other resident players (who seemed more than happy and nice enough to teach someone to play) before you decide whether you may want to purchase or buy into said game.
The staff at SoCal are nothing but nice. They did not have a product I was looking for, and they went out of their way to bring up the product from their sister store (Sky High Comics in San Marcos), so I could have what I was looking for the next day. Thank you for that!

SoCal Games and Comics is a great place to get your fix on tabletop games, board games, comic books and a few more delights. I frequent the shop at least once a week and every time I go the staff is really helpful and friendly. Last time I visited, the guy behind the counter noticed the comic book I bought and offered me this free comic book they had. He couldn’t find the said comic book at the moment, but he went above and beyond to find it. After searching the back room, he returned with a free comic book and some newsletters.
I guess my only complain is that some particular war gaming groups that frequent the establishment don’t tend to be as friendly as the staff. But that’s okay, it’s just who they are, and the staff reflects the opposite. I recommend for any fans of the hobby.
