Great food, they will satisfy your hunger. Great flavors and size portions. I took my 94 year old real Italian from the old country and he gave them his home approval.

I went in there and asked if they had Pizza which is shown in their pictures and the guy told me very sarcastically«we don’t serve Pizza», then don’t show it in the photos, plus a menu online like most places would be helpful and my time would not of been wasted. I was going to buy some deserts till I got that not so nice response.

What a fun place to try! I’m still a loyal fan of the«other» Cuban restaurant in town, but I really liked getting to know the owners(Italian & Cuban) and trying their menu items. The décor makes for fun pictures(I had one of my teens with me) and is very similar to something we’d see in the OC or DTLA area. Ropa Vieja is always my go-to item and litmus test for Cuban food as well as the Pernil. The Ropa Vieja was pretty good, and while I shouldn’t have been surprised, the pernil was just«okay» compared to my Tio Carlos’. The potato balls were really tasty with the balsamic drizzle on top. Had I known, I would have asked for more sauce, but alas I had taken them home as is. The coffee(the Italian brand LavAzza) was delicious! We tried the dessert that looked and had the same of something that sounded like lobster tail. The taste was good but the crust was super hard. We went late at night before closing but I’m looking forward to trying this place again during the day~

Food was very authentic and delicious. Owners are so nice. I was reading some of the other reviews others had about them being rude. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Food is made fresh and the desserts are amazing. It’s too bad this place is a bit hidden so they could get more for traffic. Glad we found it. We will be back!

Came here for the first time today and ordered the Cuban Sandwich with a side of fries. I also ordered an assortment of cookies to try. The Cuban sandwich was exceptional, one of the better ones that I’ve ever had in Southern California. The fries were good and crisp with a good amount of salt, which is good for me since I like salty fries, but if you don’t, I’d suggest asking for light salt. The cookies were all quite fresh and the owner indicated that they had been prepared that morning. This was definitely a great first impression and I look forward to trying out more items on the menu.

This place could do no wrong… A friend and I decided to check the place out, was not disappointed. Browsing the menu I went in looking for the usual and often bland chicken Alfredo concoction. I happen to notice something unfamiliar to me. Aglio Olio & Peperoncino with Spaghetti. is what it was. I had never heard of it and the chef taking the order; just the way he described it made me want to try it even more… A gratuitous portion of great food, fair pricing, for an amazing meal and the service and ambience given was extremely inviting for a soon return.

Very cute little place. The owner is Italian and his wife is Cuban. Both were very nice and attentive to our group of seven. We had the potato balls and the empanadas for appetizers. Both were very flavorful! We had the Cuban panini, the meatball panini, caprice sandwich, and the pork with rice meal. Everything was delicious. And we will be back for sure! I will be going back tomorrow before I leave town to get some fresh cannoli’s for my daughter.

Best priced lunch special in the area! For $ 8 I got salad, veggies and a large portion of pasta. Everything is so delicious and fresh! Such large portions of everything and is worth way more than what you pay. He even threw in a few meatballs for me to try and they are as tasty as everything else! I highly recommend this little family owned restaurant to everyone! We also got some desserts and they are AMAAAZZING. Fresh Italian desserts. Cannolis are delicious and have a large range of options.

Great people great food. Wife wanted pastries but saw that they had pesto at a good price so I told her I wanted to dine in. My 14 month daughter ate everything we gave her and she is usually a picky eater. The meatball panini was kinda salty but my wife liked it. We had to end the meal with a pastry which was the icing to our perfect meal.

2 stars ** — Service: wife is nice but the husband is not as friendly. — Food: canoli is good but the pork sandwich was to bland. No flavor and fat pieces were in the sandwich! Disgusting! Final outcome: We won’t be back.

And I was born and raised in Italy. I m considering driving from San Diego to pick up more pastries and eat a very good meal.

Stopped for lunch for the second time. My prior visit was pleasing and I remembered other Unilocal reviews saying good things. The risotto campagnolo on the menu caught my eye. It had amazing flavor that goes beyond its description of «with Italian sausage, broccoli and mozzarella.» The sausage was seasoned with fennel and the broccoli sautéed in garlic and crushed peppers. The portion size was significant so I boxed half for dinner — although I must admit that their pastry selection provided enough«discipline» to not over indulge in my entrée. I grabbed an item to share back at work. Well, maybe…

My first experience here was not very good. I felt uncomfortable from the start because even though the place was empty we were never greeted when we walked in by anyone. It wasnt until I got all the way to the front counter and I said hello to the male owner that he acknowledged us. I was pleased to see that they offer both Cuban and Italian food. I ordered some Yuca fries and asked for a garlic sauce that I normally get at other Cuban places which I thought was called mojo. Well the owner didn’t understand what I was talking about and basically looked at me like I was crazy. I was ready to leave at this point. He even called his wife over and they laughed about it right in front of me after I tried to explain what I wanted again. If it weren’t for my friend I would of definitely left. I did end up trying the Yuca fries. They took a very long time to come out but were good. I even got a garlic/citrus sauce on the side. Ha! I would like to go back and try some more dishes and I hope for better treatment.

Service is King in my World and this place is trying to earn every penny! I had a slice of Broccoli, Italian Sausage Pizza, and it tasted really good. Last time I had a Cuban sandwich and it was good too. I plan to update soon. The Lasagne is the best I have ever had before. The pasta, the cheese, and the meat sauce is very unique and makes it incredible!

I last visited Sposito’s back at their previous location in a quiet plaza along a Winchester Rd neighborhood. The Italian pastries were solid, but they’ve since relocated to a more accessible location on Jefferson Rd. I’ve noticed not only do they have a much larger, modern dining space now, but they’ve added Cuban items to their menu. Claudio, the chef, was there to greet me and give me a run down of their updated menu. Despite the rows of cakes and pastries, I’ve been wanting to try a sandwich and offered the option of having it cold rather than typically pressed as a panini. The sandwiches come with side salads or potato salads; I got the latter. The sandwich was such a large portion, and the bread was freshly baked so I’m glad I opted to have it as is. The potato salad was good, too. While customers are still probably learning of the new place, I was only one of two customers dining in, but I hope they do well. People will probably be surprised to find out Cuban has been incorporated into their fare, as other Cuban restaurants exist not too far up and down the road. Everything looked great though – I picked up a Guava Cheese Strudel to go and am considering trying some of their Cuban dishes as well.
