We come here often. The food is superb and the service is second to none. Try the Chilean Sea Bass blackened. A little pricey but well worth it. Nice atmosphere. Ask for Robert, he is very personable and adds to a great dining experience.

My girlfriend and I came here on fathers day after some wine tasting. We were quickly seated in the bar, which has 2 tvs(to watch gm 7 of the nba finals). Excellent customer service and recommendations from the sweet bartender Maran. She recommended a specific type of oyster so we ordered a dozen. Wow great coice let me tell you! Presentation was amazing, and freshness and flavor were top tier!!! We also ordered 2 rolls. Temecula coll and fire roll with jalepeno added. Omg they were so tasty and plated very well! Pros: Nice place to enjoy oysters and sushi Easy seating and tvs available to view Great customer service by Maran and the kind manager even checked in on us during our meal! 15% discount on your bill over $ 25!!! Cons: If you sit in the bar, you can smell the smoke from the casino

Robert was at our beck and call for our every need this evening where each of us ordered something different. The Seabass melted in your mouth like butter and the Scallops were tender and tasty too. When my friend let Robert know her halibut seemed overcooked, he comped one of our desserts… both of which were delicious: green tea brule and their chocolate marquis was amazing… very artistic on the plate and such rich flavors and textures. Fantastic service all evening and high quality menu.

This is a great sushi place in San Diego! Probably the best sushi I’ve had in the city. The lunch menu has a really good deal with big portions and quality food. It’s a ton of food for a reasonable price. Most of all — the fish is really good and high-quality. I find it really difficult to find quality and reasonably-priced sushi in San Diego, and this place fulfills both those categories. It’s a popular restaurant, but I did feel a little rushed at the end of dinner by the service.
Best food and best service I’ve had anywhere in many years. Robert was our server and made it a most extrodonary experience. He was fun and informative. Will definitely come back often

Decided to eat some sushi last night for dinner here at the Casino being that we love us some good sushi… Only downfall was that the Shrimp Tempura that was added to our rolls was made previous to us sitting down, so it wasn’t fresh nor warm. It appears they cook it ahead of time and let it sit… Not good! I asked the Sushi Chef about it and he must have not understood and he might have been a new employee. I brought it up to who I think was the manager, and he said we could have asked… Oh well, I tried but wasn’t going to worry as we were in a rush to get to the Poker Tournament…

Great service. Sushi is fresh… but be prepared if you order any sushi rolls with tempura… the tempura foods are cooked before they open at 5pm. They are not cooked fresh to order! Yes it’s true. We were told by the server! The lobster crunch roll… lobster tempura cooked before 5pm… so it’s COLD! We also ordered another roll w/shrimp tempura… shrimp tempura was freezing! Ruined the rolls. Not to mention they leave the tempura foods just sitting out on the counter. We ate around 630… so if the food is cooked before they open at 5, then that means the food is sitting out for hours. Health concern??? Yes. I work in a restaurant & that’s unacceptable if the health dept came in.

Pretty disappointed with this place. My husband I came here for our anniversary. This was my second time here, the first time was great. The food was really good, we had sushi. We had the softshell crab roll and a roll with albacore, and some delicious shishito peppers. My first visit was great and that’s why I chose this spot for our anniversary dinner. We had a reservation for 6 and we were sat promptly. Our waitress was rude, I honestly felt like she thought we didn’t belong at the restaurant. She came by after 10 mins of us sitting asking for our drink order, she never left a wine list. I asked for the list and she rushed me through it. I like to look over all of the wines and then choose, I like trying different wines from different regions and she seemed annoyed that I was taking to long to pick one. Anyways, I picked one, she was like«are you sure?» Yes, I’m sure. She she brought me a glass. We ordered the shishito peppers, the bbq ribs, a whole fish, and the steak. Shishito peppers were great, bbq ribs were okay. When I ordered the whole fish, the waitress again asked if I was sure because it came with bones, how else does a whole fish come? Oh well, maybe she was looking out for us. My water cup was empty more than once too. I ordered the steak medium rare, it came out well done, the manager saw my face when I looked at my steak came over to ask what was wrong, I told her it was over cooked, she agreed and asked if I still wanted a steak? Yes, that’s why I ordered it. So, she left and we dug into the fish. It was not good at all, extremely fishy, must not have been fresh. I have eaten plenty of fish in my life and it definitely was not fresh. I didn’t want to complain again so we just dealt with it. So 20 mins later my steak comes out and it’s really rare, not medium rare, but I wasn’t about to say anything. The manager did comp dessert. Bottom line, our meal was nearly $ 200. When we spend money like that on a meal for two we expect great service and great food, we didn’t get either of those. Just really disappointed because we had a sitter and wanted to enjoy a nice anniversary dinner.

This place is inside pechanga casino and it’s one of the upper end food places. The food is pretty good. If you win big at the casino, this is a good place to splurge. Try the mussels and fries. The bread that they give you is perfect for dipping in the sauce. The sauce is great. Food: sushi was decent, calamari is good with ponzu sauce and make sure to have the mussels and fries with bread is to die for. Service: They are friendly and helpful Ambiance: nice, with the thrill feel of a casino Price: for the quality, the price is average. For 2 people I spent about 90. Drinks, appetizers and two sushi rolls.

We went for New Years Eve and even though the place was packed, the service was still wonderful. We ordered a dozen oysters, seafood platter, and chocolate fondue. The oysters and seafood were sweet and fresh. Delicious! The chocolate fondue wasn’t as great as we hoped. The chocolate was too thick and the consistency wasn’t smooth. We still left full and very happy.

I came here 15 minutes before they closed on a Sunday with a party of 5. Knowing they were probably tired since it was the end of the day, they still welcomed us with a smile. Once seated we ordered and tried the following with its description: Miso Soup–($ 5) It was flavored perfectly. It wasn’t too salty and had the right amount of tofu and seaweed. It was very satisfying since the casino was cold inside. Hamachi Tiradito–($ 15) The yellowtail was served drenched in a vinegary sauce. It was excellent. It melted in our mouths. Oyster Shooters–($ 12) They came out in threes. They had one in red cocktail sauce, one in a white sweet vinegar sauce, and one in a ponzu sauce. They were all very good and worth getting. My favorite was the one in the white vinegar sauce and was my favorite item there. Seafood Steam Pot–($ 36) This was a delicious soup that contained crab, shrimp, fish, mussels, clams, corn and potatoes in white wine broth. There were some bread on the side that was good for dipping into the white wine broth. It was perfectly tasty. I recommend this. Raw Oysters–($ 30/dozen) The raw oysters were fresh and also very good. Chilled Grand Seafood–($ 80) This is also known as the Seafood Tower. It was beautifully presented on a tiered platter with a whole maine lobster, 6 jumbo shrimps, 6 oysters, and some king crab legs. I’m not a huge fan of seafood towers but it wasn’t bad. The lobster was really good and I enjoyed the crab legs. I thought all the seafood items were pretty fresh and were of good quality. Everything was tasty and no one had any complaints. The service was excellent. The woman serving us was very friendly. The were closing down the kitchen and seafood bar so we couldn’t get more bread with our soup. However we all left satisfied. I would definitely come back.

I came in for a quick bite while my son had football practice across the street. Service was great! Very attentive and checked on me quite a bit! I had a Rainbow Roll and a glass of wine. I would have given 4 ½ stars if I could because the roll was pricey, but i guess that’s expected for a casino. All in all I had a good experience and that’s all that matters to me!

Good sushi in a Casino? NEVER! Until you go to UMI in Pechanga Casino in Temecula. Steps away from the clings, clangs, bells and sirens of the slot machines there resides a haven decorated with great taste that delivers food of greater flavor. Madelyn and I took a local driving vacation to Temecula wine country. The Pechanga Casino was nearby and easy to use with a nice parking lot and a casino loaded with slot machines and gaming tables, not to mention a hotel, many restaurants and great employees. Service is quick and friendly at Umi. We ordered oysters and sashimi both of which can be challenging at an inland eatery, but all of the seafood offerings were fresh, sweet and delicious. I had a nice hot Sake as well. Umi is definitely worth a 2nd visit for us, you should give it a go! Mig

since I was already at pechanga for New Year’s Eve(even tho I hate gambling), I wanted a good last meal. i wanted steak but it was a 45 minute wait and this place had no wait. I was very disappointed. the staff and décor was nice but the sushi was very expensive and not fresh. — uni — $ 17 for 2 pieces. OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive considering the uni tastes like shit. they gave us a thin slice and it was bitter! WTF. I should of asked the waiter to take the uni back but my friend made it seem like it’s weird to do that so we didn’t — mackerel — another sushi that I really disliked. it tasted like it was kind of cooked, and it was not fresh at all. — salmon — it was good. can’t really go wrong with salmon though — yellowtail — I’m a big fan of yellowtail and I’m glad this place didn’t mess up theirs. overall, this place had mediocre sushi with the price of high quality sushi. I was very disappointed that this place has such high ratings. if u go here, don’t eat raw sushi. eat cooked food like rolls or something.

My husband took me here for date night and while I was in the mood for sushi, I wasn’t thrilled we were getting sushi in Temecula. Because well, we’re not anywhere near the ocean and most of the sushi places I’ve tried in the area has been subpar to good at most. Though this place changed my mind completely. Located in Pechanga Casino, I was thinking«great, another quick sit down meal» but the décor made it feel otherwise. Very urban and pretty and even the bar made you just want to sit down and hang out for awhile. We were seated pretty quickly and we got a booth in the back. Our waitress was very cute and knowledgeable about the oysters on a half shell we wanted to order. She came over with this touch pad, looks like an ipad for us to order things. It was cute and we got to put in our drinks. I got the chimera martini and my husband got the regular margarita. The oysters on a half shell were delicious and very meaty. LOL. Then we ordered a few sushi dishes. The Umi sushi was delicious and hey, it was named after the restaurant so it has to be great! All the sushi tasted fresh and were delicious. The raw bar was also a nice touch, watching the chef cut up sushi. We also got the Red Dragon and the hamachi yellowtail, both were delicious. For dessert, we got the mochi ice cream to clean our palates. All in all, a delicious dinner date. We’ll be back!
