Applebee’s

Started coming to Applebee’s more recently and have been visiting about 2 – 3 times a month. The burgers are surprisingly delicious and I say that only because I don’t think of Applebee’s as a place to go for great burgers, but apparently, it is.
Tonight my husband and I took our two young children as usual but things took a terrible turn on our end when our two year old had quite an accident. I panicked and turned to wave down any waitress in sight (there were a bunch) when I realized that a few of them were already on their way to me with paper towels in hand. I was of course mortified but they played it so cool, all of them reassuring me that they’ve all been there with their own kids and it was no problem. Another waitress asked if she could help out and hold my 10 month old who was also crying from the ruckus. She told me she was previously a nanny and I was so grateful for her kindness to distract my baby while I tended to my other child. I can’t stress how great and helpful ALL of the waitresses were and so kind to make me feel better about the situation.
As we were leaving, the manager came and said he heard about what happened and he felt bad our dinner got cut short and insisted on sending us a gift card to return for another meal!
Every time we’ve been to Applebee’s the servers have been so friendly and the food very good, but this time it was outstanding. We send our thanks to the manager and all the waitresses at Applebee’s! :)

I stopped in with a friend for drinks and apps on a Wednesday night around 7 pm. It was not that busy, but I’m guessing they were under staffed because no one greeted us to be seated. Finally we called someone over and he sat us and brought us menus. Well that was where the service stopped. There were 2 waitresses running around serving other tables around us, but although we tried waving at them, neither made eye contact. After sitting there for 20 minutes, we got up and walked out.

I’ve been here maybe 5 times, I am yet to get a good meal… Had a burger, The burger had a salty fishy taste to it. After the bartender put my burger down he walked away to chat withe the 3 waitresses at the end of the bar, I waited 10 minutes to get some ketchup for my fries, I finally got up and went to another table to get ketchup, a waitress said to me ketchup thief, after I was done I waited about 15 minutes to finally get the bartenders attention for my check„ Nasty food, poor service. Never again…

Service was good and food was great. Got some apps and their new maple bacon chicken wrap and it was really good. We stopped in for a quick bite and are happy we did.

This restaurant has excellent service, but the food is not tasty. It is not fresh. I could open a can and get better soup or just about anything else they make. If you still want to go there, or perhaps, like me you had few choices, be sure to watch their pricing schemes. I ordered a glass of club soda with a splash of cranberry and they charged me 2.99 for the club soda and $ 1,00 for the splash of cranberry.

Normally I don’t mind Applebee’s. It’s decent for being a chain. Anyways I went tonight with my bf and his dad for a quick Father’s Day dinner. I got the fiesta chicken which was inedible. The chicken was literally black from being so burnt and the cheese was hard as a rock as well. I understand things can get burnt or miscooked, it happens. But they actually served it like that. It was awful. I will not be going back here.

This by far was the worst Applebee’s I have ever eaten at. Food and Service were poor. Tea was spilled upon arrival to table. No napkins nor was it replaced. Took 30 minutes for soup to arrive and then additional 30 minutes for burgers. Burgers were to have lettuce and tomato but was badly burnt with only cheese. No one checked to see how food was or if we required refills on our drinks. Thank goodness we sat by host station or we would not have any silverware. Host/​hostesses we very unpleasant. Upon leaving resturant, managers we seen riding a motorcycle in the parking lot. Highly waste of time and money.

Applebee’s isn’t really a restaurant I would go out of my way to go to in general, but my sister and her kids like it so we meet up here regularly. We were excited to see that they have mini computers/​screens for instant ordering of appetizers and quick check paying. The check paying alone is a perk because waiting 10 minutes for a busy waitress on weekends to bring the check is the worst part of eating out.
Food was good, same as Applebee’s Chelmsford. Service was good. The kids menu was great, I like the variety of sides they can choose from.

The fish and chips are to die for. Big fillet of cod and lightest batter. Not heavy, not soggy, just ethereal. And the bourbon cider drink? Lord-​ee. Yum.

This afternoon, I had the WORST experience I’ve had in years. I was excited to meet a friend that I hadn’t seen in about a year. We’ve come here a bunch of times and always just got a drink and appetizers. We decided to get a nice meal instead and I’ve been craving steak. I ordered the 7 oz. sirloin, medium rare, with mixed veg & garlic mashed potatoes. As soon as I cut the first bite and all I saw was GREY, I was mad. The waitress said she would order another and in the meantime, I tried not to finish my sides before it came. I waited, and waited while watching my friend eat her burger (and she ordered sweet potato fries and got regular, so had to wait for those to be replaced as well) and I could tell she was trying to eat slow so she wouldn’t be finished when my steak came. It was almost 20 minutes before my steak finally came, so yes she was basically done by the time my steak came out. The waitress asked me to cut into it to see how it was and I told her it didn’t matter because was not waiting for another. I cut into it and even my friend said, it’s just as overdone as the last one if not more. I was given the excuse that it had put it in a marinade and sometimes the marinade can make it look gray. That is ridiculous. They also brought out new potatoes and new vegetables which I thought was good so I let them take what was left of on my first plate. I went to eat a carrot I was surprised that was basically raw so was the broccoli and most of the other vegetables. The mashed potatoes were the only thing that was relatively good although they could’ve been hotter in the vegetables definitely could’ve been hotter as well. I knew when I was taking almost 20 minutes to refi or steak medium rare that it was going to come out overcooked again. I guess all Applebee’s really is good for is appetizers. I was glad they come to my meal but that didn’t make up for the fact that I had to wait so long and my friend had to be uncomfortable as well trying not to finish her food before mine came.

Way better than the Applebees in Chelmsford!

I’m not sure what everyone is complaining about with the bad reviews. I’m not a big fan of Applebee’s at all. I went here with a friend for dinner on Friday night and I was pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away on a very busy night. Our waitress was super sweet, fast and actually super fun!
Our food was served super quick and hot! I had chicken quesidillas that were awesome! I have no complaints here!!! Loved it!

GENERIC. There’s nothing special about this place, just kinda ended up here when every other restaurant was busy. The food isn’t great. The selection isn’t bad. The drinks are extremely sugary. The worst part is probably the service. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive and was so slow. I don’t mind waiting but ten minutes for a water is too long especially when the place is half empty. Wish I didn’t stop in, won’t be coming back.

Fast and hot and open at 10:30 for food! I don’t get what the expectations were for the other Unilocalers. Sooo much better than fast food! Love the 550 cal entrées. I had the blackened shrimp and rice, and it was yummy. Hubby thought the Caesars salad with chicken was so-​so, but then he also said it hit the spot. His nickname is Grumpy– take your own chances on his opinions. If you’ve read my reviews before, he doesn’t really like allot, lol.
Anyhow, just fine, and much better than any other highway fast food choices.
Did I mention it’s right off 495? Supes easy to get to. Wish I could give half stars.

I came here on my lunch break with a friend. Service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent.

I don’t know what people are talking about because I live in the area, and I go to this Applebee’s all the time both to sit down and eat as well as for pick up. Never had any problems with either. Service is always good and so is the food.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Strike 3 for me at this place. This last visit GF found plastic in her drink. Food came out except my burger. After 5 min had to ask manager to get it. Waitress forgot to refill my drink, another drink order was wrong. Burger tasted awful. Honesty, half mile down the road is the 99. Better choice by far.
Don’t waste your money.

We show up here for lunch (husband, daughter and I), they go and seat us the farest booth in the back. Just to let you know we pass at least 5 open booths along the way. We sit at the window where it was clearly freezing. The cold air from the out side was penetrating threw the glass and the heat was on low. After looking around we noticed everyone by the windows had there jacket on.
After 15 minutes, the waiter comes to us. We say hey we need to over there (with was a table set up just on the other side of the isle) because it is freezing here. He goes ok and then disappears. We then look for him to be never seen again. 20 more minutes later a waitress shows up to us and now I am ripped I lean into her telling her everything, and how in professional that is. So she take our drink order and food order and tells us she will address this with him.
She does come back quickly with the drinks. Then 10 minutes later manger comes and we tell her how in professional he was, the lack of customer service that was given to us, how it is friggen freezing it is over here. She apologizes to us and tells us she wants to make it up to us… she is going to buy us dessert.
Dinner comes, it was fine, time for dessert, we all get dessert, then the bill… mmm ya right dessert was on them. mmm ya wrong! Only 1 dessert was… we brought this up to the waitress but she didn’t seem to care either.
So, here I am telling everyone who reads this. DO NOT go here. Find another place who will have professional prompt service, warmth, and pleasant tasting food.

Ugh… food was disgusting! Super salty or lacked in flavor. The service was horrible. Our waitress delivered the food and then disappeared. My son had ordered their kids meal. Mac and cheese… clearly it was cheap boxed mac and cheese. He did not like it and didn’t finish it. None of us did. We did not bring the leftovers home either.
