Chimichangas were awesome. Nice, crisp, perfectly fried. Not to be confused with the server, who had also taken the form of a chimichanga.

The food is bland. The service is questionable. The décor is dated and old. The only thing they do well is make a stiff margarita! Diner beware

I am sorry to say that this is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve had a lot of Mexican food, almost none of it in places like Texas where the Mexican food is great. To be specific, my enchiladas had a strange sauce that looked almost like tomato soup and had an off flavor. The meat was greasy(beef) and stringy(chicken). The lettuce was wilted. The chips were fine, but nothing special. The dining area(including the surface of my table and wall next to it) could use a good scrubbing. The prices were low, but honestly the food was so bad that I can’t say it was a good value. The only reason I’m giving this two stars instead of one is that our server was really great! So in spite of the food, it’s a place I might go back to for a drink(something out of a bottle) and chips.

I’ve dined here many times. A couple of weeks ago I immediately was ill after eating(twice). I called the next day to speak to the manager and left my name and number, never called me back. I think it is ridiculous to charge for chips on take out too. Sorry will not return.

This was not my first visit here. But it is my first visit in quite a while. Arrived around 6:45 on a Saturday evening. The parking lot was relatively empty. That deterred me for a split second, and then I realize maybe more local people or larger groups were there. When we arrived in someone sat us, and we were in a booth like atmosphere but they were hard wooden chairs to sit on and a table of four. It smelled a little musty in the building as well, maybe they had had some damage during the last winter storm. I don’t know. The waitress came and offered us water, and asked if we wanted anything like chips and salsa to which he replied yes. The salsa seemed like it was not homemade, and the chips clearly were not but were warm. In any event, we added extra hot sauce and Dug in. We actually got a second round of chips and salsa because our food was not ready after we had ordered it. We had ordered a chicken avocado soup and a cup, tacos, and a chimichanga. When the Soup arrived my mate noticed that there really wasn’t any chicken in it, only a few shreds, and it was labeled as chicken avocado soup. He believed it probably would have been something more like an avocado purée, but this was like a chicken broth with zucchini a little shredded chicken in it and avocados put on top. He said it tasted OK, a little spicy, but where was the chicken? Shredded beef tacos and shredded beef chimichanga we’re OK. Nothing to write home about but nothing to say complaints about either. Very routine. The rice that we had was colorful, but tasted very bland. Almost as if it was a made in a large batch, and that they don’t let out until it is gone. Meaning, maybe it was made yesterday. But I don’t know. The refried beans tasted like they could have come from a can. I like the weather there homemade or not, but they do Taste good. All in all I can say that there a better Mexican restaurants in the area. I have been to a few. If you’d like routine stuff that’s a step above chilies, this is your place to go. It would be nice if the waitresses paid attention to the patrons a little more as well. I felt like they really were more concerned about getting things cleaned up in the dining room then making sure we had water to drink or if patrons nearby us needed something cleaned up after spill

Stopped in for dinner Sunday Night. Walked in and waited to be seated. No one came to seat us. Waited almost 5 min still no one. Walked into the bar there was someone seating at the bar who looked like a customer and no one else. No sure what everyone that work there was doing but we left.

Waited for 15 minutes for any one to take our drink order, by that point we were ready to place our food order and the waitress said«No, ill take your food order later, the bartender can take a long time.» She came back 6 minutes later with our drinks and then took our food order. Once the food came(about 20 minutes later) she dropped off the food and never came back to check on us. About 30 more minutes she came back and took my plate without asking if i wanted to bag it(I had half my food left). Worst waitress ever. O and did I mention that in the middle of her shift she felt the need to sit down in front of everyone to empty out her purse and do paperwork. Never going back

Banner /House Margrarita 3.95. Check/House Margrarita 7.00 Waitress you said house, the special is casa. Very rude server, did her best to make me feel stupid and cheap. Too bad, i’ve always been fond of this place. A rude server can ruin the meal. Look close at the banner

It was one of the worst experiences of my life. Waitress was unattentive and on her cell phone the whole time. Messed up our order TWICE and while we were sitting waiting for the check, she sees another waitress and asks if she wants to go out for a smoke. The food was hardly Mexican. Microwaved quesidilla’s are easier and cheaper for me to make myself. After the experience she tells us to come back for karaōke. Not happening. Extremely disappointed. Listen to Unilocal

This one hurts. I have been a faithful Oscars guy for a few years now. The food has always been good and the service has always been bad. Unfortunately they took it to new lows and I am forced to call them out on it. I was sat quickly. Then comes the problem. 20 minutes later, no hello, no chips and no anything. We decide to leave and a server Comes to the table next To us and it seems she had abandoned them for a half hour. I use the term server with a grain of salt because I have never seen the Serve a grain of salt. Oscars get your stuff together. Hire waitstaff who only work in the dining room, who care about their customers. I may or may not be back. If I come back it will be your last time to actually care I am in your establishment. If I do not come back know you lost a loyal customer because you did not care.

I gave 2 stars because they had my type of beer and they took a groupon. It’s 7pm and we enter the establishment, the exterior is a dive and the interior is as well. We sit at a table, there is only one other customer there as the waitresses seem to be counting their tips. I glance over to an empty table and notice a nearly full beer and half the chips and salsa gone, but no other plates and start to develop a dread feeling. We order the appetizer platter. The poppers are decent. The salsa really has no flavor. Ordered two combos, number 3 and number 7. The waitress took the first order and then proceeded to ask me what I wanted and I asked her, don’t you get to choose what kind of meat goes with the first order? After glancing at the menu, she agreed. Ok, my turn. She comes back after a couple minutes and says they don’t have any tamales, so I have to adjust my order. Apparently they didn’t have what the other table ordered either. The chili was small with an omelet(way too much egg) was actually gross, I replaced the tamale with a burrito and seriously had difficulty swallowing it. It was if it had been taken from the freezer and microwaved, with that over cooked soggy tortilla. Was disgusting. We asked for some more water and was handed the water improperly, hand coving the rim over the top, so if you did take a drink, you could swallow wherever her hands had previously been.

Bought a Groupon for this place and what a disappointment… Went for lunch yet nobody was even available to make our meal! Ordered 2 margaritas spent more than an hour waiting for some sort of «chef» to actually cook. low and behold he never showed up. Twenty five fucking dollars later still no food! Sorry for the profanity but I spent 25 in Groupon and 25 for 2 drinks and an still famished!

First impression was sticky, like a Johnny Rockets. The food isn’t authentic Mexican, and eatable at best. It us however a solid pick for a lonely burrito and cheap beer at the bar. It’s the right amount of sad.

Just finished wasting my time and money here… want to get this horrible memory outta my mind. Food was lame at the very least. Service was horrible; staff was complaining among themselves. Could hear them swear. Bathroom was filthy and broken, trash everywhere. Would never return. Never written review in Unilocal. But this place seriously needs to be thought more than once if you consider coming here. Time to leave this place.

Tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt by visiting it one more time before writing a review, unfortunately it was a huge let down! The first time I ate here I had the burrito supreme which was pretty good(although overpriced). The next time I came during my lunch break and waited 45 min before the food was ready at which point I had to get back to work and did so without eating. Figured maybe it was a fluke, however, today I went was greeted by the smell of stale cigarettes and sat 15 min and still didn’t get a menu or the water the waitress was getting. I understand that there’s one waitress but this kind of service is really disappointing, especially when it isn’t busy. Bummer bc I enjoyed the food.

One of the worst Mexican Restaurants I’ve ever visited. Besides being overpriced, the food was marginal — barely eatable. The waitress was nice and enthusiastic — maybe she’s one of the owners? No clue. But the pricey food was a turnoff. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Mexican food. There are too many good places that offer better choices and food.

I really dont enjoy writing a bad review but it is my hope that the owners will pay attention or they will close. I went here because I had a coupon. Thanks to this restaurant I will never use that site for deals either. The place is rundown and looks downright dirty. I ordered beef fajitas. I expected beef, onions and peppers. What came out was some type of beef with goop all over it and very salty with a few thin slivers of onions and peppers. The side of guacamole was literally a smear — I know it is one of the lower margin items but come on. I wouldn’t feed my dog that dish. My son had burritos and they look liked frozen things heated with a ton of beans on top that were very salty. We ate two bites and then dumped the rest. The waitress may have been the cook and bartender as well because as a lot of the other reviews stated she disappeared and was running all around when she did come to the floor. Do yourself a favor and read all the reviews even the ones that say unverified — which means they may not have signed up fully but still ate there. If you would like a dirty place to eat with very salty unhealthy goopy food go ahead and eat there. You would be better off eating at McDonald’s

We decided to try oscar’s after purchasing a groupon for half off. Walked in & was delightfully greeted by a swarm of flies. Eventually a greasy half clothed ogre spawned from the kitchen covered in grime. He looked at us, grunted, grabbed menus & threw them at a table. He then returned to his cave located in the far reaches of hell. Even before seeing lord of the flies we smelt deep fried poop seeped into the 1970’s installed carpet & already knew we wouldn’t be staying. ran out & returned the groupon, fully understanding why they needed to deal with groupon in the first place.
