Applebee’s

Bartender great, provided suggestions. Ordered the boneless asian wings. Extremely salty. Ordered the sirloin Medium, got it well done. Sauce and potatoes very salty. Not too pleased. Just moved to town and live minutes from this place. However, do not think I will be returning.

Decent food but low class clientele and understaffed.
Good bartender.
And oh yeah the food is incredibly salty. Drinks too. Could be an issue with the water.
Avoid.
Edit: actually my gf and I cannot get this horrible salty taste out of our mouths. 1 star.

We were traveling from Arkansas to Texas and stopped at this Applebee’s for a desert. The hostess was quite friendly and so did our server seem, at least at first.
All we ordered was dessert and coffee which took a long time to arrive. Additionally, our server, Jeremiah was neglectful, choosing to sit with his mother at the table behind us rather than make sure we attended to. To make matters worse, his mother and her friend had the foulest potty mouths I’ve ever heard, and we were sitting there with our fourteen-​year-​old daughters.
I understand it may be difficult to censure one’s own mother, but there are just so many motherf#%?kers and pu$$!3 Customers wish to hear bandied about in a family restaurant at 4:00 on a Sunday afternoon. Next time, leave potty-​mouth Momma at home or at least out of earshot!
Finally, I’d had enough and asked the hostess to make sure we could pay and leave immediately. In retrospect, maybe not paying and demanding a manager’s attention would have made a stronger impact. If this were our neighborhood Applebee’s, I probably would have. I wish I could have rated this experience with zero stars!!!

AND THE PENDULUM SWINGS
We haven’t dined here in 18 months because of our last bad experience, but we noticed something different yesterday: the parking lot was full, and that is a good sign.
Our Oriental chicken salad was excellent, as was our club sandwich.
The server, Patia, was superb, and Will, the manager, paid us two visits.
It ain’t the food, folks, it’s the people, and Applebees gets it right when the people are right.

Didn’t have any of the appetizers we wanted, messed up our appetizer order when we finally found one they had. Ordered a sirloin steak and it was so mushy couldn’t even stomach the initial bite. Don’t waste your time at this location!

Unfortunately the steak was overdone, they forgot the topping, it took way longer than it should have and when we asked to speak to a manager the waitress went to get her but came back and told us that the manager said she would comp the steak. I asked the waitress why we couldn’t speak to the manager and was told the wait staff was suppose to handle all issues. really? what is the manager for if not to correct the staff on errors and teach them the correct way? my husband and I waited for too long when they were not busy and the food was incorrect when we got it. we wanted it correct not comped.

Waited 10 minutes just for the host to show up. When we were finally seated the table was dirty and garbage was on the floor. One order came out with the side missing. Another came out without vegetables for the burger. A refill of water took almost 10 minutes. When we did get all our food it was tasty. I come here almost every week and never have a problem, but this time was pretty bad.

Absolutely unacceptable food and service. Steer clear of this place and Chili’s Texarkana. So many other good options to choose from here in Texarkana. I understand restaurants have rough days, but there are waaay more bad shifts here than good ones. Why take the gamble?

I advise you not to go. I have been to some amazing Applebees, begged my dad to go, and i regret it entirely. the food was horrible.

Walked in was greeted and seated got drink orders right away ordered spinach appetizer it was good except the chips are Greasy and the dip was bland I ordered the mac and cheese with honey chicken it was gross the cheese really flavorless but the chicken was good but the two don’t not got together my grandmother order portabelly chicken it was under cooked. The service is good but the food is not that great.

Our food and service were terrible! There have been few times that I have ever had to ask for a manager (because our server never checked back on us). Steak was totally undercooked and Mac and cheese with spicy chicken was gross. No cheese taste to it. Only sweet dry spirals with burned up chicken strips on top! I’ve had better tasting meals made by children using ramen. The manager finally came to our table after having to request her. She was totally unprofessional. I told her that my meal was not as described and I was not going to eat it. She said that there was no kitchen mistake, so there was nothing she could do. After some heated conversation, she finally agreed to «pay for our meal». We left with both entrees still on the table! Will NEVER be back! Be warned!

Les ordered the fish and chips w/​slaw and a Caesar salad; I ordered the cowboy burger (86 bbq, Med, sub rings) after 30 minutes I asked the waitress for Les’s salad and got an «oh yeah» Salad was brought to the table and was fairly tasty. Another 15 minutes go by and I’m thinking «this doesn’t look good it’s taking way too long and they are not busy» we finally receive our meal. Les’s looks good. Golden brown fish and hot fries. He picked it up and tore the piece in half… raw. yes he received raw fish after waiting an hour. So he sent it back. Now mine. I picked up an onion ring, it was warmish. «No biggie, I’m starving» then I started to put my burger together (L/​O/​T/​P on the side) and come to find out the burger is cold. The cheese isn’t even melted on the (way overdone and charred) patty. So I send my burger back. After 20 – 30 minutes we finally receive eatable food. Burger was still way over done and never got my onion rings, and my fries were still cold. Les’s fish was cooked through and HIS fries were hot though. Had to flag down the waitress to get a refill of water because she never stopped by or looked at the table to see the empty water glass sitting on the edge of the table. As she placed the new glass of water on the table I asked for the ticket (so hopefully we aren’t stranded at Applebee’s all day) get the ticket. 49 bucks. Not only did she double charge us but she never even looked to see if anything was comped or adjusted. She just printed the check and dropped it at the table. We get somebody in management’s attention and ask about the check, he said it was wrong and would reprint it. When he brought our now 25.72 check we paid cash and got the heck outta there.(and yes, we did pay. for the whole check. not ONE PENNY was taken off.) This is the second time we went to AppleBee’s and were disappointed. I’m guessing there WON’T be a third. Heck the only reason we gave them another try was I had heard that there was new management and I wanted to give him a try.
~side note the previous time we went, i asked the waitress what the soup of the day was. and her reply.” I just had a baby, so i don’t know.” I wish i was kidding. but i’m not. i was almost speechless.

The garlic herb steak and the creamed spinach stuffed mushroom were delicious! Took forever to get our food though and it appeared to be a problem for a few guests.

Drinks 3 stars; don’t get cocktail drinks, takes a full 15 minutes longer to get them on top of the usual 30 minutes waiting for refill. Waaaay too long!
