Chicken Express

This is the best southern fried chicken in town. You get to order the pieces you want for no extra charge. I am a thigh man if you are wondering. The yeast rolls are light and tasty. Great sweet tea. You get that choice in the south, you know. Several side choices include southern staples like mashed potatoes with gravy (white), fries, fried pickles, corn nuggets (they’re fried too), cheese poppers with jalapeños (fried), coleslaw, Italian green beans (I like them), Mac & cheese. That’s all I can recall from memory, but you should find something you like!
I will let you in on a secret. Their fried catfish is the absolute best anywhere! Whatever number of pieces you order they always throw in a couple of extra. Good hush puppies. I order this when I am on a driving trip. Easy to eat. Perfect!

The food here tasted fresh and very good. Service was a little bit slow, but I don’t mind waiting for some hot chicken strips. The girl behind the counter was very friendly. The only reason I dock them two stars is because they didn’t give me the extra mashed potatoes that I ordered and paid for. I could’ve drove back across town to get them but really did not feel like it.
