We stopped here for breakfast on our way home from Tennessee and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The café is very cute. You order at the counter from a chalk board menu and all the staff was super nice and friendly. We had the kids waffler with bacon, the Mr. Rogers, the SOS with coffee and orange juice. It was all very tasty. Literally, there was not one thing that was bad, all of it was delicious. How often do you order three different items from a menu and find everything equally amazing? Doesn’t happen to me that often! I highly recommend it. I would eat breakfast everyday here if I could. It was definitely some of the best breakfast food I’ve ever had.

As an expat Texarkana native, I often return home to see national restaurant chains moving in and smaller businesses falling to the wayside. So I was pleased to find the Breakfast Table doing so well. Taking the torch from the Cobbler Shoppe(RIP), this pleasant little diner hits all the right notes: the menu is varied, the food is from scratch and delicious, the atmosphere is charming, and the coffee is well-brewed and invigorating. They’re proud of their ingredients, handcrafting their own bread and sausage and God knows what else, and you can taste that passion in every bite. I heartily recommend the scrambles, light omelettes with plenty of variety in the toppings. Their sourdough toast is another highlight, a perfect blend of flavors. There are several vegetarian options, but if you’re looking to fall off that particular wagon, you can’t go wrong with their in-house sausage. A bit more variety in the meat choices would be lovely — pan-seared chicken or ham, for instance — but the menu selections and quality are so solid that I can’t in good conscience call that a complaint … more like a quaint suggestion. In response to a few other reviews, I can tell you that as of November 2015, they do have table service, and quite friendly service at that. They’re located less than two miles from I-30, so they aren’t really out of the way either, unless you’re one of those poor souls who gets lost the minute you leave the interstate … in which case, the Breakfast Table is worth getting lost for. ;)

If you find yourself in Texarkana AR driving on the state line in the morning, do yourself a favor and skip the free hotel breakfast because you deserve to eat this good. Its the small joints that always bring the big taste. A cute and quaint little restaurant with the sweetest gals making everything from scratch, The Breakfast Table, sent us of in our long trip hope with big smiles and full bellies. We ordered Mama’s Favorite Grits — grits with a fried egg, cheese, chives, and bacon. See the pictures cause I’m not doing it any justice. It was excellent! I also asked for a slice of bread which was also made from scratch. Timing was perfect as it was still steaming from it just coming out of the oven. The hubs had the Big Daddy — eggs, grits and biscuits with gravy. All from scratch! The biscuits and gravy came on their own plate. Softball size biscuits with a giant patty and gravy seasoned just right. If ever I come through here again, I’m starting off my morning right like I did today and having breakfast here!

Sadly we did not get to eat here as we were just passing through for a quick pickup. With that said, we briefly stopped in and it looked like a great little restaurant. Next time I’m in Texarkana I will absolutely stay to eat here with our family!

Very clean, nice atmosphere. Staff is friendly. Make sure to check the map by the door to see if your city has a pin in it. The gravy is AWESOME! Very close to being just like Grandma made.

This is one of those places that is doing it right! My wife and I are visiting Texarkana for some business which is quite a way from home. We love a great breakfast place where you can eat a healthy, simple breakfast. Since Texarkana is so small and not our usual city life, we weren’t expecting much out of this place. However, this place is unreal! Micah, the owner, was helpful and catered around any request we made for our food preparation. The BT offers homemade dishes-consisting of breads, jams, and breakfast potatoes made in house! So cool to see a chef making all the food, not unwrapping it! I hope this town appreciates this incredible spot!

I visited this place last month. Owner and staffs were super friendly and kind. Coffee tasted good. Their egg scrambles and biscuits were excellent. Besides food, I liked the U. S map in this restaurant that customers could pin in where they are originally from. It was surprising to see customers even from abroad like Canada as well. Overall, I really enjoyed having brunch at this restaurant.

The food is fantastic. Biscuits and gravy were some of the best I’ve ever had. Eggs cooked perfectly. Kids were thrilled with the chocolate chip pancakes. The coffee was more like warm brown water though. Great service. Will come back again if we ever drive through here!

Been on this planet for 53 years and had a grandmother who was raised in Alabama picking cotton. When she was in the kitchen, there was little or no measuring; all done by her five senses and intuition! Everything was from scratch. Breakfast, especially her biscuits and gravy, were among my favorites. After eating at The Breakfast Table today, I don’t have to miss my grandmother’s cooking anymore.

Excellent experience. Great food and the staff were super friendly. This place is a little off the main drag, but totally work the trip. Do yourself a favor and try The Breakfast Place.

Gravy is hot and peppery. Eggs and fried potatoes are spot on. And biscuits will melt in your mouth. Food is filling but not greasy. Staple country favorites as well as eclectic new recipes. Fabulous start to my day for this traveler. It is located in a slightly dingy area of town, but otherwise I can’t say enough good about it! Five stars.

Texarkana was in need of a small, family-owned breakfast establishment to counter the chain restaurants and The Breakfast Table meets the need perfectly. They serve a nice variety of items, make everything from scratch(the sausage gravy is amazing), and are all about the customer. Take advantage of this gem!

This place gave me a good feeling. It was small and clean and had friendly people working there. The food was fresh and good. I loved the potatoes. The grits were not to my liking so I let my husband eat them. He thought they were strange, too. My waffle and bacon strips were very good. Just wish they had maple syrup! I will definitely be going back.

Breakfast is breakfast, right? No. Not here. Homemade jellies and sausage. Biscuits with a texture of cornbread and a crunchy crust. Dark gravy that actually tastes like something. Waffles that are both soft and delicately crunchy. It’s terrific.

We went to the breakfast table about 2 months ago and we won’t be back. The service was horrible. And the lady who took our order was not helpful and downright rude. My husband’s meal was okay. I ordered the French toast and found it to be horribly under cooked. The owner was very nice and I wish him the best of luck. We just had heard so many good things but had a really bad experience.

With the few local options in texarcana this place is a go to spot for brunch. I just ate the Mario and really enjoyed it. It’s cooked properly and the potatoes are delicious. The biscuits are great too

Very good food! I have only eaten here twice, but both times I left counting the days until I get to come back. This is a ‘must eat’ when you are one Texarkana!

Passing through Texarkana I noticed a new option other than the usual chains for breakfast. The place advertises everything made from scratch daily, no mixes, pre-made or frozen products. The sausage is even ground in-house. There is no table service. You order at the counter and pick up your order when they call your name. You also have to get your own silverware and garnishes, just like at McDonalds. The menu offers platters, sandwiches, waffles, French toast and several«scrambles»,(stuff mixed with eggs). Drinks are bottled sodas, bottled Minute Maid juices, coffee & tea. After a dismal dinner at Twisted Fork last night I was hungry so, I ordered«The Monster» platter. 3 eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits & gravy and choice of potatoes or grits. I subbed the home-made sourdough toast and opted for grits. I raise my own chickens so I’m picky about my eggs. While not free-range they were cooked perfectly over-easy. The toast and gravy were both a delight, the bacon was lean and crisp but the highlight was the sausage. WOW! I can’t even describe how incredible it tasted. The grits were smooth, buttery and perfectly seasoned. According to the counter girl, they have only been open since mid July. I hope with continued success the owners/cooks will consider table service and removing the drive-thru window. The food is definitely 5 star but I can’t rate them that high when I have to wait on myself. I hope I don’t have to bus the table and wash my own dishes.

We tried The Breakfast Table while passing though Texarkana because of the owners self-review. We both got the scrambles. The thyme was a delicious addition to the eggs. The biscuits were quite good as well. This was my first time trying grits, I wasn’t a fan but that probably is just because they weren’t meant to be my thing. The décor is lacking a little, but it had a friendly, local vibe.
