Dollar Tree

I haven’t been to a Dollar Store in years so it was a surprise to see how much stuff you can get for a dollar. They have a lot of Christmas items and I was able to get very cute holiday themed tins perfect for gifting Christmas cookies. I also found a few cute ornaments and florals to add to our Christmas tree. I didn’t venture into other areas of the store but I was impressed with their holiday section.

I’m not a hugh fan of this place, but I do like it. What I like about it, is that I can get items that I don’t like to spend a ton of money on… for cheap! For example, toilet paper, Clorox cleaner, paper plates, napkins and any other types of cleaning supplies. As you know these things can cost you an arm and a leg if you’re not careful. This place has a wide variety of those items that I like and they keep it at a dollar. Every season, they have some pretty cool items like water guns, goggles and party supplies for the swimming pool. During the school year they have a small amount of school supplies but they go extremely fast. Overall, this place is OK the staff seemed friendly. I’ve never had an issue. It would be nice to see other items added each week to help me be more engaged.

Let me start off by saying, I absolutely LOVE the dollar tree. However, I was extremely disappointed after I went into this specific location to exchange a $ 1.00 puzzle. I have at least 100 different puzzles from the dollar tree that I have accumulated over the years… all of which I have done. A few times after I have completed their puzzles though, I have noticed that I will have either a missing piece or even two of the exact same pieces… something that can easily happen with a puzzle during the manufacturing process. Needless to say, every time this has happened before, I will go back to the dollar tree with my receipt and exchange the puzzle for the same one if they have it, or a different one if they do not. Well, I tried to exchange this one particular defective puzzle a couple of days ago, and was told by an employee, Tina, that I could not exchange the puzzle since they could not resell it. I kindly explained to her that this has happened a few times before, and I have never had a problem exchanging the puzzle, yet she did not appear to listen. I told her I have even done it at the dollar store a few minutes away, but she could not be bothered. I mean do I honestly care about the $ 1.00 puzzle? Absolutely not. It was just the principle of the situation, and that I had to drive to another near-​by location to exchange it (of course of which they happily did). Moral of the story… do your exchanges at a different dollar tree :)

This is not my favorite Dollar Tree. They don’t usually have as much merchandise as other Dollar Tree stores. There is usually limited staff working in this store so it may be challenging to get someone to help. The check out experience is always pleasant. You can also buy helium balloons here for $ 1.
