I only got a concrete when I went. Good but not the best that I have had. They were initially stingy with their toppings, so I had them remake it. I got the brownie concrete. The brownies were ok. Andy’s just seems to be a lot better. I think I’ll go there for my frozen yogurt from now on.

Sevice was good. Being asked for a refill in this place didn’t seem to fit but I liked it, thank you. I wasn’t to happy with the food. Going back there will take a tow rope.

TLDR: It’s good. Go here. Spend your money. It’s very worth. Just moved to The Colony from Plano and this was the first new place I tried. The interior is very clean and is designed to look like a 60’s diner. The employees are very attentive and walk around, asking if everything is still good; it doesn’t really feel like a fast-food place. As for the food… First, I tried their double steak burger meal and the burger was awesome! They put an entire slice of onion at the very top so it’s easy to remove some or all if that doesn’t fancy you. The patty was very thin and went over the edge of the buns, but its flavor was nevertheless very tasteful. They put an abundance of lettuce at the bottom so that the patty oil doesn’t soak the bottom bun too much. Overall, this burger was a very good decision. As for the fries, this place is the first place I’ve been to that makes thin-cut fries correctly. The outside has a crunch that’s not too hard but just right, and the inside is as soft as thin-cut fries can get. The entire batch was very consistent; I didn’t eat a fry that wasn’t fried the same way as the others were. After the meal, I went ahead and bought a triple chocolate brownie frozen custard sundae for dessert. This was the first time I’ve ever had frozen custard, so I can’t compare it to other places, but it was also very good. The custard has a gelato-like texture that doesn’t melt easily in your mouth, so you can eat a little bit at a time and still enjoy the full flavor of it for a longer time than regular ice cream or gelato. They overstuffed the sundae with the chocolate syrup a bit, but it didn’t take away from the experience too much, since we had someone who likes sweet things immensely. Overall, a very, very good experience. I will definitely be coming here often. Burger meal was $ 8.20 without tax, I believe, and the frozen custard sundae was around $ 5.00 for a regular size and the container was about 5 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall or so, but they put the custard way over the top.

Freddy’s has the BESTFRIES~~shoestring crispy fries with just the right amount of salt that only come in one size, but enough for two people. Seriously, these are the best fries of any fast food joint along the 121 corridor. The Chicago Dog was pretty decent, although it didn’t come on a poppy seed with neon green relish. So can you really call it a Chicago Dog? The Steak Burgers are also very good and its worth getting double patties. We finished off our cheat meals with vanilla custard that was so rich and creamy. We will be back here again for those fries!

This place was decent. Not really my type of burgers with the crusty oily outside and the patties being very thin but wasn’t bad or anything. My husband liked it also and the Freddy fry sauce is to die for. I drenched that sauce on my fries and my burger :) would come here again for the concrete! Custard tastes really authentic and yummy. This place is ok for a quick lunch but honestly in n out right across the street is the better choice for me…

This location is on SH121 and looks pretty nice and clean. The interior design is diner style with 50’s and 60’s music playing. It’s a nice touch. Me and my daughter both ordered the single steakburger combos. It come with the burger and fries only, no drink for $ 5.99. We both ordered mini shakes. They have shakes, malts and concretes on the menu. The meat on the steakburger is very, very thin. The burger wasn’t delicious but I did like the pickles that they use. The fries are the super thin kind that they also have at Steak n Shake. Personally, I’m not really a fan. The shakes are so good at Freddy’s but me and my daughter were both cracking up at the jumbo size straw that they deliver in the shakes cups. The straws are huge for real.

I love just about any place that has shoe string fries and hot fudge brownie sundaes, Freddie’s has both. This place offers its own spin on steak and shake and in and out burger. The burgers have always been good when I’ve ordered and the service is usually decent.

Been wanting to try it and now I have. First the food, the burgers were not good. They tasted burnt and a little salty. Also had the chili cheese fries. Fries were just ok, the chili tasted like chili you get at a little league concession stand, not gross but overpriced for the quality. The staff wasn’t rude but a few of the teenage workers were acting like teenagers, which is unprofessional in a work setting. The only reason I might come back would be to try the custard.

Delicious burgers and fries. The steakburger is very thin but flavorful! I got a double california style. Nothing to complain about! The fries are awesome because of how thin they are and the seasoning on them is great. The custard if fantastic as well! The butter butter sandwich wasn’t as great as I thought it would be, but still worth eating for sure.

This is my first time here, and I must say it is the best frozen custard I’ve had in awhile. Their concrete has a kind of light and airy texture to it, not hard like some places I’ve been to. The people are also really friendly and helpful if you’re indecisive like me. I will definitely be back, and I live in DeSoto!

Pricey but yummy for dessert! I got the Hawaiian sundae and they filled it to the max with fruit and creamy goodness! Good to share! It’s like I can imagine myself in Hawaii eating that with all the pineapples, berries and crème! I’d go back!

This is my favorite burger place! The burgers and French fries are delicious. The whole family loves coming here. The staff is always friendly Save room for the custard, it’s made fresh, and to die for.

Thank you Freddy’s Frozen Custard for offering a veggie(black bean) burger!!! Service has been consistently friendly, veggie burger has been consistently yummy and I’m trying to find any excuse to order one of their custard cakes. Atmosphere is like an old fashioned diner and they play fun oldies tunes. I’ve also enjoyed their custard cone which was way too big to finish, the skinny fries with Freddy’s fry sauce which was a nice change from the traditional fry and their seasonal pumpkin spice concrete which I would highly recommend. Glad they’re in the neighborhood!

Freddy’s looks and feels peculiarly like Steak and Shake. The red and white décor makes me wonder if there’s not a connection. The burgers here are OK, but the meat patties are so paper thin that you have to order a Double just to come close to the meat you will get on a single at Culver’s. The buns are very small, perhaps to make the meat look bigger? The flavor is OK, but nothing memorable. French fries are hot and fresh and are of the shoestring variety, they are VERY thin. Onion rings taste like the pre-packaged frozen kind and are just OK. Nothing here really stands out from the crowd of fast casual burger joints popping up all along 121. I prefer Culver’s to Freddy’s, but if I am on this side of 121, Freddy’s is certainly a decent spot for a quick lunch.

Freddy’s is a great new addition to The Colony. I went there today for the first time and had a great experience. The steakburgers were fresh, tasty and not grease balls like that«other» steakburger place. The chicken tenders were also very good, hard to execute in this ultra-competitive chicken tender market/era. Also, they offer Orange Crush as one of their drink selections! Need I say more? I didn’t realize it until I had already ordered, but it’s just one more thing to look forward to during my next visit. I didn’t try any of the frozen treats but plan to do so in the future. Sno cones and flooding don’t really mesh in my book. There was an issue with my order, but the staff addressed it friendly, promptly and professionally. I was very pleased with Freddy’s and plan to frequent them going forward.

Pros: Decent Steakburgers. Good shakes. Cons: Teenagers run this place, and the service is always subpar. Overpriced for what it is. Long wait times in both lobby and drive-thru. I honestly feel like steak and shake does everything this place does but way better. in no way am i affiliated with them however. I think what would greatly improve this place though is if they hire a better staff. In this location, I’ve had issues in the past with teenage cashiers who are either rude or clueless, or both.

The 25 minute drive from Allen to the Colony for this treat was well worth it. Freddy’s has old fashioned thin steak burgers, shoestring fries, onion rings and malts/shakes. I don’t think too many people know about this chain because there was hardly anyone there during what should have been the«lunch rush” – but that just meant more attention for me! :) Everything was spotless, service was impeccable and my order was hot, fresh, and exactly as I remembered from the Freddy’s in Lees Summit, Mo. Can we please get rid of a nasty Whattaburger or In and Out in Allen and replace it with Freddy’s?

So happy Freddy’s is finally back in this area! There was a Freddy’s at Preston/121, but I think maybe the In-N-Out opening up next door may have been too much for them. Honestly I’ll take Freddy’s over In-N-Out any day so I’m glad they have a new location that’s even closer to home than the old one. What to have? Their burgers are awesome — super thin patties with lots of flat-top grill caramelized goodness, the Freddy’s sauce is delish(thousand island-ish), their fries are skinny/crunchy, they also have a few different hot dogs on the top sliced buns(with the grilled sides, yum!) — but my FAVORITE menu item of all… is the Hawaiian Sundae: Vanilla custard, Pineapple, Strawberries, Coconut and Macadamia nuts. It’s to die for. I literally order it every time I go to Freddy’s because I’m obsessed with it. See you soon Freddy’s!

Steakburgers, hot dogs(wrapped in a toast bun), frozen custard & sundaes. They have chicken sandwiches, tenders, onion rings, and even chili. Their #1 is the double steakburger, but don’t feel obligated to get that. The single steakburger is on the menu(just not highlighted in their combos menu). My fiancé and I always get the steakburger and hot dog combo –a little over $ 8–(the best of both) and share, then each get our desserts! I like their brownie concrete(I tend to ask for bigger brownie chunks on mine instead of blended). I also like to get their skinny fries with a side of cheese sauce. Their Freddy’s sauce is pretty much thousand island sauce, nothing special. But it sure is nice to have another option than just the In N Out burger joint in the area. Very upbeat and friendly drive-thru staff. Welcome to The Colony, Freddy’s!

Welcome to The Colony, Freddy’s! Yummmm! We just left their preview event and everything was just delicious. I’ve never been before so i didn’t know what to expect, but it was great. I had the California burger which was so flavorful. They have so many options other than burgers, such as chicken sandwiches, Chicago hot dogs, etc. All the good stuff. Their custard cannot be beat, it was thick and super delicious. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, you can tell they were trained very well. For the first day, everyone was knowledgable and knew the product. All the makings of success! We are new fans & will be back again and again!
