Came on a weeknight to watch football but all they had on the screen was baseball. This place has a great Irish pub ambiance, it is very low key and quiet enough to have a conversation. The regulars and the bartender were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was just so-so and I probably will stick to the fish n chips next time. I had the lobster roll, it was a toasted small hot dog bun with a scoop of very finely chopped lobster with a lottttta mayo for $ 13.99. At least the fries crispy and seasoned well. This is a good place with good drinks and we will add this to our regular stops, just not a place to eat.

The fish an chips were the best ive had in awhile, Light but crispy batter, hot an fresh fish what more can you ask for, the corned beef was amazing as well. and I absoulutely loved the chicken tenders simple n classic but flavorful and crispy!! the girls at the bar were beyond sweet, especially my girl with the nicki minaj hair loved it! although the natural smell of the place wasnt pleasnt to me but withing 5 minutes my nose adapted, long story short im headed there for lunch!

Walked in and the bar is full. One bartender. Seating area empty. I sit in the middle of the seating area with no menu no drink. Waitress walks by twice. I wait 7 minutes. Not one acknowledgement. Finally guy bartender walks over. Friendly brought menu. Pushed prime rib. The Prime Rib was a lil undercooked for me but good. In conclusion this bar is very much a locals bar, Everyone that walked in the door was greeted with their name. Can be a friendly place if you are accepted into the Cliq.

Came here in high hopes, expecting it to be a bustling bar like The Saintsbury down the street but it was totally different. Much more«Irish pub» style with a smallish bar a few steps down, a few low tables and a couple of high top bars. The one thing that struck us that there was an odd odor in the air. McSiggan’s seems to be one of those smaller, intimate places that local people go and everyone knows everyone. Being smaller, it was not as loud as other places so conversation was easy but there was just something that didn’t click with me. Again, it may just have been a perception thing. I’ll have to come back and try another night and see what it’s like. Overall, decent enough beer menu, but the odd smell in the air made us want to be one and done. Maybe it was a bad night in the kitchen!

It’s a serviceable bar. Decent draft selection. Fair prices. It’s the right fit if you just want to have a brew with some of your buddies without raising the volume of your voice.

This is a super neat little pub in Austin Ranch. It’s mostly filled with locals. We enjoyed the snap back shuffleboard! Lots of TVs to follow what’s going on in the sports world. We tried the Guinness Beef Stew, Shepherd’s Pie, Pretzel, and salad. Everything was delicious. I was really hungry, but the pretzel was the best pretzel I’ve had since I was in Bavaria, Germany. The cheese that came with it was delicious as well. A lot of the time you get with a pretzel some weird plasticy tasteless nacho cheese, that was not what I got with my pretzel. Once my beloved pretzel was gone, I continued to eat the rest of the cheese, it was that good. The ONLY negative part of our experience was the one guy in the corner who seemed like he was a regular there who was using a lot of foul language really loudly. Other than that, the service, the atmosphere, the food, was all amazing.

For an Irish Pub, this is a great neighborhood joint. It feels very NYC or Chicago, but small and intimate. The bartender was very sweet and helpful. We had a couple of drafts at her suggestion and chicken wings(extra crispy) which were great and the Sheppard’s Pie. I loved it, however I will point out that real Sheppard’s pie also has ground lamb and no corn. Also the mashed potatoes on top were a little dry and not«fluffy.» With that said, I’d order it again and we’ll definitely be back. There’s a very comfortable feel here.

Great staff, easygoing vibe, great beer options on tap, good prices, and the food is not bad. I’ve had their Shepherd’s Pie before and it was a miss, but their Fish n Chips hit the mark. All in all, I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. It hasn’t been busy when I’ve been there, and I like that. :) It’s located along the Austin Ranch apartment homes.

Cool little hole in the wall kind of pub. It isn’t very large but its got a fun atmosphere. The menu is very traditional pub food so this isn’t recommended for anyone looking for healthy or vegetarian options. Service was prompt and friendly — good local hangout.

I’ve been craving a rueben for a week and since today is St. Patrick’s Day I felt it was the perfect day for one. I searched reviews and came up with a couple of options. The winner? McSwiggan’s. Actually I was the winner because I enjoyed it so much. The servers were attentive(it was early in the lunch hour) and the beer that was recommended hit the spot! I have bookmarked this place for future cravings. One of the best ruebens I’ve eaten!

Great Irish pub. I had the fish n’ chips — excellent. Friendly staff. The beer selection, drought and bottle/can, is good. It seems like a good crowd as well.

Best Shepard’s Pie I’ve ever eaten! We come here several times a month and we DON’T live in Austin Ranch, which means it’s a trek for us to get here!

I live in Austin Ranch so I had to McSwiggans on a pretty regular basis. I really enjoy their beer selection. I like the atmosphere here. The bar is a bit on the smaller side so if there are a lot of people there it can get a bit crowded. Typically it is an average crowd and not too packed. They have shuffle board tables, dart boards and tvs to keep you entertained. Food is also pretty good although I typically go here for happy hour and appetizers. I’m a big fan of the fried pickles and pretzels. Super delicious!!! For beer, I tend to indulge in UFO. I recommend this place. And I love that it is non-smoking.

I live in Austin Ranch so I go here often. The atmosphere is relaxed, beer selection is great, and the fact that it’s a Red Sox haven are just three reasons why I love this bar. Gecko has terribly rude servers and Zen is just d-bag central. If you want to sit down, catch up w/friends, watch a game, enjoy good beer, all while being served by friendly and capable staff, this is your place. If you’re a shitty beer drinking, ‘roided-out douchetastic Yankees fan, go elsewhere. :) I’mma go get me a burger now, meh!

Stop by after hearing about their fish and chips and I was completely blown away never know what to expect when walking into an Irish Pub you either get dingy and dirty or clean an welcoming This place was thankfully clean and welcoming. Food, Customer Service and Waitstaff all get a five star from me. I will definitely come back.
