We’ve been in twice and both experiences were awesome! We went for happy hour and had great service. The other time was for a night cap after my birthday during a cowboy game. It was busy and the waitress didn’t skip a beat. Our drinks were at our table lightening fast and my friends & I had a wonderful time! Great end to my birthday. We can’t wait to go back!

The food is great! I’ve tried most menu items and have not had anything I didn’t like.(I was, however disappointed with the portion size of the calamari the one time I ordered that.) The hangover menu, is fantastic, and they have a good beer selection, as well. Great atmosphere, upbeat yet pub-like. Good spot for watching games. The staff service is usually pretty good. Patio is nice and dog-friendly. Although, I wish they’d add some TVs out there during football season. There’s usually one, so you can only see it if you’re lucky enough to be facing it. Here’s what I don’t like… The bar stools are pretty uncomfortable, with no backs. Some of the tables benches outside are also uncomfortable to sit at. Second, on Saturday nights they make a terrible attempt to turn this«tavern» into a nightclub. They bring in a DJ that plays terrible, cheesy music(lots of disco, and 90s dance club music) and crank it up so loud that you can no longer talk with your friends. It’s really bad. One minute your hanging out, drinking, laughing with your pals, the next minute your trying to scream across the table over horrific music. It just doesn’t go with the type of crowd or the type of establishment. In addition, on those nights, they bring in a bathroom attendant for the men’s room. My guy friends hate it! So glad they never have one in the ladies room. It’s just weird. I always forget they do these two things, and when it happens, we usually relocate to one of the other two bars, which stinks. Lastly, although their menu is great, it is kinda small– wish they would add a few more tasty offerings.

Great sports bar around the corner from my house. Plenty of TVs and good decent selection of beers. They do a good job rotating some of the brews. Good not boos either. Good laid back place to hang out-especially when weather is nice

As an Austin Ranch resident, I think this bar is a great addition to the neighborhood. My friends and I usually come here if we’re not in the mood for the pretentious environment in Uptown or we’re just too lazy to drive anywhere. The prices aren’t too shabby, service is decent, and a live band performed on some weekends in the warmer weather. The deviled eggs here are my favorite! I’ve tried this hors d’œuvre at plenty of restaurants/pubs, and the common problem I have is tasting too much mustard or mayonnaise. Saintsbury has one of the best that I’ve ever eaten. Not to mention it’s topped with an actual bacon piece, not bacon bites that look like dog food. They have so much space inside and a great patio outside, it’d be great if they add jumbo size Jenga or connect four.

Most of the patrons here seem glued to the multitude of giant screens plastered around the room, every point on the scoreboard translating directly into screams of agony or booms of cheer. If that’s your scene, pull up a chair in your team’s jersey and drink to victory. That’s not our scene, however. The food menu seems limited and on a Sunday evening, there was not much action. I tried the chicken pasta and it was okay. Maybe check out their weekend brunches with $ 3 mimosas next time.

This place is just so-so. The bar itself is nice, the staff aren’t very social but they get the job done. It’s filled with a younger crowd that all seem to live in the apartments/condos around there. Even on a Friday night it’s kind of boring so bring your own group of friends.

The food was decent, we ordered the fireball whiskey wings and the fried pickles. The wings were a little generic, nothing special. I did love the fried pickles, crispy and the batter was really great; the horseradish sauce it came with was tangy and delicious. The drinks were overpriced, they have a good selection of beers so it kind of evens out. I had one cocktail, the blueberry mixer, tasted like watered down Gatorade. Over all it’s an ok place, but there are way better places to be spending that kind of money.

I’m only leaving one star because I have to… since when can you not wear a tank top here to eat?!? I was turned away from here and usually come once a week… really!!? This isn’t an uptown bar… but ok! I wish Zen was still open!

Went here for brunch with some friends on a Sunday for brunch and the service was terrible. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for refills on mimosas and they were only semi busy, maybe about 20 guests total the entire time we were dining in. I’ve been here one other time and both times I was not impressed with the food– very bland and mediocre– the one food item that’s really worth eating is the meatloaf cupcakes. The only time I would ever come back is if my friends decide to have another get together here.

Great place for a drink. Sadly there’s politics. My gf and I live in Austin ranch so we come here a lot. Memorial Day weekend a girl we checked o. Being harassed by guys ended up putting her hands on me calling me a «fatboy». I am a steroided up short male… My gf stepped in and stopped her. We went to tab out and the bar tender wouldn’t speak to me. In the end, she tabbed out and I told her why we were, I did call the girl that attacked me a bitch. Lexi informed me she was her friend. Today we visited it and had ordered a few times with a group. When my girl orders she refuses and tells the bar tender my girl«is gonna fuck her face up».y Girls a private banker and 120 lbs. Lexi then told the manager I was going to beat her up memorial weekend. We were cut off and closed out. I spoke to the manager and explained the story. We’re allowed to drink there but I won’t as long as Lexi works there

My and a couple of friends decided to try out a few bars in the Austin Ranch area. First up was Saintsbury Tavern. Our verdict is that this was the best out of the 3 places we went to. All the staff there were really friendly. Morgan was working her first night by herself and did a great job looking after us. Had to ask for a glass a couple of times to go with my beer. Any beer that’s over $ 6 deserves a glass :) They had a live DJ which I was dreading but he was actually pretty decent and wasn’t overload loud, so we were still able to talk. We decided to move on to the other places and maybe eat but nothing appealed so we ended back up Saintsbury Tavern for food. Sarah looked after us this time and did an equally great job. Although the chicken fettuccine was good, it wasn’t worth the $ 10 it well selling for, maybe $ 6 worth or $ 7 at the most. My friends both got burgers that were massive and probably a better value. Overall, Nice hangout place with a patio which seems to allow dogs, friendly staff, decent beer, food value may not be worth it depending on what you get, which is why I knocked off a star. This is likely to be one of our regular starting or ending points.

Saintsbury seems to be small UK themed bar in a nice area surrounded by apartment complexes. The interior is fairly simple and clean with a large jukebox which is fun. There are no booths in the place which I do not care for because there was no where to really get comfortable. Only high top seating which I think is more what they are going for — quick in, spend money and out. My guest and I tried the deviled eggs, pot stickers and eggrolls from the appetizer menu. All of them were delicious with the exception of the eggrolls which were average. They do have Strongbow cider which seems to be a rarity in a world of Angry Orchard fans and they serve white cranberry juice with Crasins in it for their vodka/cranberry drink… delicious. Its a fun sports bar to grab a drink with friends and watch the game but don’t come thinking you can get comfy and stay awhile. Friendly service topped off with good food and decently priced drinks — this place is a winner if you’re in the area. *My only dissatisfaction was their $ 3.00 vodka specials on Wednesday I believe with a vodka that costs about $ 13.00 per bottle. That’s not really a special… thats a reason to stay home and drink.

On Friday’s there’s extended happy hour until 8. There’s decent indoor seating and a nice outdoor section as well. The waitresses are attractive and wear tight fitting clothes. I got the chips and queso which was pretty good and the meatloaf«cupcakes» which were surprisingly tasty. I spoke with several people that were here and they said this was a local hangout for nearby residents. I would recommend this place.

I want to like this place, and will deifnitely give it another shot, but we were not impressed with our first outing. Drink specials on Monday night were good. $ 3 fire sale on Dogfish 60 and Shiner Bock pints were also $ 3, so we weren’t going to leave thirsty. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we had drinks the entire time, and was also very nice in making sure to explain the menu items since it was our first time. We ended up ordering and splitting two appetizers; Southwest Eggrolls and Firecracker Chicken. The Southwest Eggrolls had a great outer crust that might have been one of the best I have had on an eggroll, but the filling was almost nonexistant and left both my wife and I wanting. There just wasn’t the heartiness that you got, say, from the Southwest Eggrolls at Zen(RIP). To go with the lack of filling, you only get four eggroll halves, and at $ 7 it is just not worth it for the lack of substance that is being served. The Firecracker Chicken was just not good. When I think firecracker sauce I expect maybe a sriracha mayo type sauce like that from Bone Fish(it’s really easy to make, you guys should try it), or even a sweet chili sauce. What they put on it tasted like a cross between franks red hot sauce and ketchup. Both of which I like, but not together. It was spicy but offputtingly sweet and just overall unappetizing. The rice served with it was soggy and just not cooked well(also, again I expected more of an asian sauce on the chicken, expecially since it was served with rice). And finally, the onion tomato relish type stuff served with it just did not go with the dish. I’m not sure what they were thinking on this one but none of those three things were done well and they just don’t tie together. My wife and I will be back to give them another chance. Just being able to serve cheap drinks is not going to cut it. We plan to come back for burgers sometime in the near future as that is something that(hopefully) cannot be messed up, though I honestly have my doubts from the comments I have read on here regarding temperature of the meat. I will say that the service we received was good enough to make us want to come back, which I couldn’t say in the waning days of Zen where their service had deteriorated beyond what their good food and cheap drinks could make up for. I don’t mean to be too harsh, and hope this place does well. I will be in again in the near future to try out some of the other offerings and hope that I will be less disappointed with the taste and quality of the food.

This bar has a surprising menu that at first glance seems so so, we were hungry so we went ahead and ordered a few things. We were so happy that we did! The buffalo calamari scared me at first, I love buffalo wings and I love calamari, but buffalo calamari? I had doubts. It was amazing! The breaking was light and crispy. The calamari was cooked to perfection. No «rubbery» feel. Do yourself a favor, just order it. Then we had the siracha deviled eggs. OMG! Beautiful and smooth and creamy goodness. And the piece of perfectly cooked bacon sticking out of the center was the perfect twist. They should offer to add one or two eggs so each party can have an equal number. We were 3 people and it came with 5. I’d have happily paid $ 1 more for one more. Then, heaven showed up in what is called an «ooey gooey butter cake». We talked about that cake all weekend. Their chef is extremely talented. Turns out his wife is a baker and makes the cakes. She did it with perfection! We had a blast dancing to the DJ and eating great food. Huge beer list too. I’ll definitely come back. Would love to check out their Sunday brunch!

I want to give this place a 3.5 overall. The place is nice because it has a good amount of TVs, is never crowded, and it has the inside /outside garage door thing going on. So it can be nice at night. We went last Friday and the good thing about this place is they have extended happy hour til 8pm on Fridays. $ 3 wells and certain beers I think. Service is kind of slow, but pricing is good. I’ll be back.

Not pleased at all. 1. After sitting outside for 10 minutes with a waitress walking by, I had to go inside to ask for someone to assist me. 2. The waitress I had –Kalei– was quick to tell me ‘no’ about a possible appetizer modification without even checking if it was a possibility. Which, I was with a friend who had previously ordered it modified. 3. I ordered the ‘B-Mac and cheese burger’ that comes with ‘8 oz patty topped with house made mac n cheese and bacon’. My waitress did not ask how I would like my burger and it came back well done. I might be assuming, but if someone ordered a burger without specifying, it should be medium. Also, the burger came with lettuce and tomato on it without consulting if I would prefer that. Nothing on the menu said it came with vegetables, so when it was received the bun was soggy. 4. I am very confused about the ‘tots’. I was expecting regular tater tots– not some puréed potatoes deep fried. They are good, but not expected. *also– my waitress did not verify with me that they would cost extra, even though that was listed on the menu.* Maybe I expect too much, but I believe that many of the things that went wrong today were common courtesy issues that could have been fixed with proper training. ***UPDATE*** We did speak with the manager and he was very understanding. He did remove a drink from our ticket and offer a desert.

DEFINITELY a better bar choice than some of the other sorry bars in Austin Ranch. I really enjoy a good sports bar, and this place has plenty of televisions, a neat patio area, and cute pieces hanging on the walls. I’m really confused as to why there is a lame golf arcade game… and a grand piano in the corner(Yeah, I know. Live music is all the rage nowadays). Darts and pool would have sufficed though, which would have made this a regular hangout spot. Food’s okay. Service is spotty. OK place to catch a MNF game… other than that, head to BDubs.

Looking for a chill, fun sports bar with incredibly good food? And Blood and Honey on tap? Here it is! The staff is super friendly, the vibe is a «relaxed tavern», and they are open late. I saw Meatloaf Cupcakes on the menu, thought ew gross… until someone said they are awesome. And omgaww yes! You get two moist, flavorful mini meatloaves, topped with creamy mashed potatoes., all sitting on a tangy delicious marinara, and fried onion strings on the side. I was sad when it was all over. :) The chips and queso looked great, as did the hummus and pita bread, and I’m looking forward to trying more of that menu. It was so easy to hang out here, and you bet your bottom dollar I’ll do it again.
