The Colony Best Buffet

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! We got to the restaurant at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The food was all, every bit of it, old, looked as if it was left on the buffet from Friday! Everything was dry, overcooked, & tough! They even found a way to screw up the soft serve «ice cream», it was runny and tasteless! The hostess/​waitress/​manager was very unpleasant, the definition of a B#*@H Face! Oh, also the men’s room was disgusting!

If you like Chinese Buffets in general, with really, really large varieties of food, not just Chinese, but like if Goldan Corral added their leftovers to a buffet in addition to 100 random Chinese dishes, you will absolutely love this place.
Otherwise, you will not.

Definitely has gone even more downhill this year… No one eats the plentiful oysters here and there is a reason.
Only bright side is the beef brisket (?) that was tasty, everything else are meh.

This was the WORST Buffet! They really need to change the name! Fried food was cold, I mentioned it to the waitress who then told 3 others and then the owner or manager came over and yelled at me and said really rudely that they just changed the food so I needed to go RIGHT NOW to get new ones. Everything tasted fishy and the sushi looked like it had been sitting for hours! Which can’t be safe! I think the health department needs to visit this place! It’s not very clean either! Never again and if your smart don’t waste your money because we were told they don’t give discounts for bad food! 50.00 for 4 of us that we didn’t enjoy at all!

This is ALL YOU CAN STAND BUFETT… The food was OLD like it had been there since lunch or the night prior. I couldn’t even bite into a piece of bread.

Closer to the worst of Chinese buffets I’ve had than the best. Everything that was fried was rock hard. The Egg Foo Yung had a horrible sour taste, selections from the sushi bar were pasty, they had no cups for the soy sauce. And the «Fresh Crab» that convinced me to try this in the first place, was fried to a greasy mush. Who fries fresh crab? I recommend staying away from here.

This place was horrible! I can normally eat something anywhere I go but this was just bad. There was no one there and I see why. There was hardly anything there to eat! All the meats were dry and chewy, it took us 5 minutes to find the rice and when we asked the waiter what something was she said «oh I don’t know» and walked off, I kid you not. Do not go!

Really really disappointing. I had come here awhile back but it was not like this. I noticed on some recent reviews that there is a new owner. Now it makes sense. Plain bland and greasy. And the clientele at 8pm on a Friday night was unsavory. I’m being nice with that descriptor. There was a call girl negotiating her rate on her cell phone at the next table. Her companion was so drugged on something that she could not sit still to eat. Really not a good experience. Don’t bother with your time.

I quit eating here after about 5 bad visits. New owners took over last year and I feel like I gave them plenty of time to work the kinks out of any transitional problems. They never pulled it together. Each time the food was old and dried out. Fish is old and tastes kind of rancid. They brought back the crab legs on Saturday’s but will only put out a batch every 30+ minutes and with 20+ people lined up and everyone piling their plates in mounds its gone by the 4^th person… yes expect your fellow eater to take enough for 4 people and not be thoughtful enough to let everyone else have some also. It has a lot of low class patrons:-(The crab legs are just a gimick to get you to come in and charge more that night (yes there’s an additional charge that night even though you may never get a single crab leg). They know you won’t wait for over an hour and stand in a line and not eat the whole time you are waiting, so they are pretty safe in not needing to serve too many crab legs. They act like they can’t see the people lined up waiting… And don’t understand English if you ask when they are going to finally fill the little pan. DONT ORDER DELIVERY! I’ve watched them preparing the delivery containers… OUT OF THE OLD BUFFET BINS! You are getting the old tired food thats been on the buffet for hours plus drive time… And paying premium per item. Yuck!

This was my first time to eat here. The food was terrible. It was dry and oily, all at the same time. Everything pretty much tasted the same, no matter what it was, and had a vaguely fishy taste to it.
Being a buffet, I wasn’t expecting 4 star food, but this was just awful.
I cannot recommend this restaurant.

One of the better Chinese restaurants I have been to. Food always fresh and good tasting. Staff very nice too.

I was not impressed at all, the food was below mediocre especially for the price. their drink menu is misleading, you think you are getting a 20oz or 2liter for the prices and instead receive Styrofoam cups. They do however deliver fast if you dont want to leave out of the house due to bad weather or if you don’t want to load the kids in the car. But save your money and just deal with the hassle. The only thing that is decent are the chicken sticks.

Visiting a friend and was hungry, so decided to try this place. Very disappointed. Very bland food. Hot and Sour soup, not hot, not sour… Just blah! Sushi, soup, chicken in garlic sauce taste all the same.

My family and I went there today for lunch. The price was not bad for a buffet but the service was bad. The place was not packed and I ran out of drink about halfway into the service and not once did the waiter asked me if wanted a drink. He came by to pick up plates and that is it. It was snow crab buffet and every time i checked on fresh crabs, there was none. My husband got a few and he said that it was bland and so was the butter that you dipped it in. There was a few good options, there was the egg rolls, chicken and broccoli that were really good. and of course the dessert and fruit bar were pretty good. Probably wont be back due to lack of service.

We quit going to the Best Buffet months ago because it had really gone downhill.
Far from being the best buffet. I found a Groupon for Best Buffett that was a great deal. 2 options lunch or dinner. I purchased the dinner option. It clearly states not valid on Saturday and Sunday is considered dinner all day, fine I bought the dinner option. We were told on arrival the groupon isn’t valid on Sunday. I showed the exclusion, clearly they were wrong. I asked for the manager. I was told he had already turned away 3 people. I insisted, the young man came back and said the manager would accept my groupon. Wow!
The food was very good! It had vastly improved since our last visit months ago!
The manager is defeating the point of the groupon by not honoring what is clearly stated. The people he turned away had a bad experience and didn’t leave there knowing how much the food has improved.

I was craving Chinese food and was so disappointed when I got a plate here. It was like all the food had been out all day. I arrived at 6:30 pm and the food should have been hot and ready. After being there 20 minutes and realizing I couldn’t eat anything because it was awful the manager gave me 15% off my bill for two of us that are nothing. I will not be back and I suggest you never go. Yuck.

A few months ago, I ordered from here and it was awesome however the last two times I’ve ordered from here and the food has been lacking. The beef has this twang to it that I can’t describe and it has completely made me not want to order from here again.

Could not be grosser if they tried!

I really don’t know what to say about this place.
I’ve been here off and on since the day they were opened. This is my go to place whenever I’m in the area and don’t know what to eat.
The food has always been consistent and the service has always been okay with the over joyous acting of the manager that look like he’s always on crack.
I really don’t know, do I really like the food here? Because it’s a Chinese Buffet, you’re not supposed to like it, you’re just supposed to stuff yourself and make your belly happy.
Most Chinese Buffet places don’t last this long. And since they’re still here, they must be doing something right. Therefore, I’ll still continue to pay this place a visit once every other month whenever I’m in the area visiting the in laws.

This is my new Chinese buffet. The food is delicious with a large assortment. The Black Pepper Chicken was the best I’ve ever had and there are many items you don’t find at other buffets such as oysters, crab, and fried bananas. Beer, any kind is $ 1.85, that included my Heineken.
Very roomy and clean, I let the manager know how wonderful everything was.
