Was really busy for Fathers Day but the service was great and the food was excellent. Used the app to «get in line» before we got there. Awesome tool! The rib eyes my husband and I were done perfectly and more than enough to be today’s dinner as well. Despite the craziness of the busy night our service was exceptional. Thanks April!

The only good experience was the service. Extremely disappointed with everything including the Bloomin’ Onion, which was overdone. Steaks ordered were not good at all! Chichen dishes were dry. Parmesan Pasta was too spicy and not as described on the menu. At least 4 of the 5 dinners should have been sent back. Salad portions were skimpy. Spent around $ 150 for the worst dinner at The Villages. Don’t bother with this place there are much better restaurants in the area. Stay away! Trust me we won’t be back. P. S. nor will I be purchasing Outback gift cards for family who live there.

Worst food at an Outback that my husband and I have ever eaten. Generally a favorite of ours, this Outback was a huge disappointment. The crab cake was mostly pancake, the filet mignon was tough, and the medium lamb chops were raw and also tough!!! On the positive side, our waitress was lovely and our chopped salad was good. I’ll be grateful to get back to our Outback in GA, and will never return to this one!

This outback located in The Villages was teetering between 2 and 3 stars. I decided to outweigh the slower type service and mistakes with the food quality. I normally have great encounters when I dine into an outback, but the last 2 experiences with The Villages and The Lakeland locations have made me start to worry. We were seated promptly next to a woman who was requesting a manager because her food was not up to her standards, service was not to her liking, and whatever else she wanted to complain about. She decided to complain to the manager for about 7 minutes about the food not being prepared correctly, being cold, service slow, etc. I think it was a clear case of her just wanting to take advantage of the system and get the meal for free. I do not complain about my food out of respect to the restaurant and I don’t want some good olé«Special sauce» thrown in, but why would someone complain about the food for 7 minutes and then request 2 to go boxes to take both meals home? It was a pathetic viewing of someone bullying the system. **Service** Our drink order was not taken until about 10 minutes after we were seated, drinks took about 10 minutes to come out, my coffee cup had a lovely lipstick print on it and it was clearly not my shade :). My wife’s grandmother asked for no ice and was graciously given extra ice, bahaha. The server was nice as can be and the service definitely improved as the dinner progressed, so I give the waiter credit on that. It could have been the psycho sitting next to us that he was trying to avoid, but who knows. **Food** I ordered the Bloomin burger, which is my favorite burger there and it was delicious. I did ask for extra sauce on the side because I enjoy it so much, but I was only given the sauce on the side and nothing on the burger. It was probably just a break in communication or I stuttered and mumbled my words(which I do on occasion). The other 3 members at the table ordered the 6oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and a vegetable of their choice. They all said the meal was fantastic, but the service could have improved a bit. **Take note** This outback in located in The Villages where a majority of the population is elderly. I love elderly people, but some may be extremely critical at times and provide 1 or 2 star ratings when the restaurant could have been 3 or 4 stars. We wanted to go to Cody’s, but went away because of the low ratings. I figured out later that the outback got the same ratings. Majority of the people who rated have only posted 1 or 2 reviews and were both negative for the most part. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews before judging the place or you may miss out on something down the line :). This was not a bad restaurant, just not what I was used to with the other Outbacks I have loved.

Poor, poor, poor service… and I love outback. Our poor waiter was covering too many tables. Blooming onion, cold. Had to ask Mgr for drink refills. Meals came. Med well steak was rare. Waiter was busy. Asked another older female Mgr for help. She was snotty and rude. Told us our waiter was busy helping other customers… Mac and cheese was cold. Baked potato was cold. Steaks that had blue cheese crumble had solid blue cheese when they brought it out even though we requested it to be broiled on top of steaks. Salad had very little dressing. Asked for more. Got that after meal came. I remember when a manager would come to the table and ask how everything was. That didn’t happen. $ 100 for bad service and cold, undercooked meal. My husband won’t go back. The clincher for him was the rude manager who didn’t give a crap.

I can remember when this restaurant was a top performer but as of late(last 3 times there) it is missing what made it great. Service is hit or miss. Bar service is wholly dependent on who is behind the Bar. The salads are served on warm to hot plates the appetizers are not plated for appearance but seem to be thrown on to the plate. Then the reason you go there the steak comes out poorly due to having been cut too thin making the cook temperature tough to meet. Thickness of steaks most likely a corporate decision to increase the bottom line. This all results less than good quality meal at a top price. Fortunately there are many other better choices in The Villages.

Great service at the bar! We go there every single Monday and sit at the bar. The service there has always been friendly and fast. It is always a joy making our weekly trips there and highly recommend this to anyone looking for some good food and drinks. The only down side and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5… they did away with their happy hour after 9pm :-(

Haven’t gone to an Outback in many years. We went this time because a friend gave us a gift card. The food was good and our service was decent(not stellar, but what we have all come to expect). We went at a slower time so we didn’t have to fight The Villages crowds. If you love Outback, you won’t be disappointed.

I want to like Outback but it just isn’t what it used to be. We had a burned Blooming Onion and the steak was marginal. That I could accept but the restaurant appeared run down ie the foyer sofas had much vinyl peeled off. Management needs to wake up with place!

The food here is what you’d expect from an Outback. Nothing will blow you away, but it is all pretty solid and reliable, which is good when you have picky eaters in your party. Where this place fell flat for us is the customer service. Our waiter was nice enough, but he consistently forgot to bring us the things that we asked for and didn’t fill up our drinks without prompting. It wasn’t just once or twice, and everyone at the table noticed and commented on it. It is the little things when dining out, and not writing things down if you have a bad memory is simply inexcusable.

Its an outback. That’s what its like. An outback. I had the Alice springs chicken, which is always good, as it was this occasion. I did feel the portions were smaller than my other visits. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Not bad for lunch.

Since they were advertising the moonshine ribs and we having tried them I took my wife with me to give it a try. The ribs were pretty bland even with the sause on them and they were also very fatty. The fries that came with them soggy and we guess they had been frozen. We did get seated right away and the service was great. We will try them one more time on a Wednesday for their 3 course special. Hopefully it will be better.

This Outback restaurant is nice inside. The staff lacked in customer service skills, the onion petals were overly greasy, and the steak was flavorless and overlooked. I like my meat well done not burnt. Nothing special about this place. Don’t plan on coming back. I wasn’t really impressed at all.

Great service at the bar, mother’s day had a one and half hour wait for a table. But the bar was open and very quick service. Norena and Jackie are great!

Food is consistent but service is not. Don’t go on a weekend in The Villages if you’re not prepared to wait 30 – 45 minutes. The creamy onion soup is one of my favorites and the ahi tuna appetizer is good as well. The skinny margarita is very tasty for a lower calorie option, but I feel it is overpriced for the amount given. We continue to come despite the so/so service because the food is always pretty good.

I had the ribeye –medium, added a lobster tail and the best thing on the table was the pecan blue cheese salad! I’m thinking of going back for lunch tomorrow, just for that. As for the steak, it was over cooked, the lobster — I had to send back… The service was good though

You can’t beat the wonderful Happy Hours basically everywhere in The Villages. Outback offers two-for-one wine and the Merlot is a standout. It’s fun eating at the bar and meeting the wide variety of folks from all over. What can you say about the food at Outback? It is what it is. I usually get different fish dishes and it satisifies why I go when I do — quick and easy and effortless — an easy bike ride.
