I would like to Commend Dallas for her excellent service– she was so helpful and happy to help. I can’t remember the last time someone seemed so excited about me getting new shoes! Thank you Cathy Jean, and thank you Dallas for your comittment to service– you are a gem in the service industry.

Cute goes Kaput… I recently bought two pairs of Elastic Ankle Strap Sandals in black and tan. While I love the initial look of the shoes… in about a month they are already showing serious signs of coming apart. The faux cork is wrinkling at the bottom… making them look cheap and worn. I would like the shoes replaced or my money back. In the future– Cathy Jean– try real cork or better glue. At more than $ 100 a pair– they should last longer than a month. Finally– the manager horded all the customers– saying hello first– initiating contact do her employees wouldn’t get the credit or commission. It was shameful! When I asked one employee for a size– she replied«But my manager already said hello– so you are her sale!» Real nice Cathy Jean! I haven’t tried returning the shoes yet– and I am a day past the 30 days… but I am going to try! We will see what happens!

The online store has a «guest checkout»: don’ t use it. You can’t go back and track your undelivered, unfulfilled orders. The store is powerless to help. You can get a «customer service» email address but after 60 days waiting for a reply I gave up. Looks like we’re just eating the $ 50 lost ordering boots that we never received. Filed a BBB complaint but fat lot of good that does. Next step the VCDA’s Consumer Division office. The loss is entirely NOT worth the sale price.

I absolutely hate retail stores that have young, inattentive teenage girls working for them. I went to Cathy Jean with my mom to find a cute pair of boots and not only were there THREE employees working here at this time on a Saturday, but there was a line out the door of ATLEAST15 people waiting and these three employees were just standing behind the counter being completely unaware to their surroundings and talking to each other. None of them were helping customers and one of them was just on her phone texting! Are you kidding me??? Not coming back here. And not to mention they have the worst return policy of all time. My mom had a pair of shoes, still in the box, never worn, AND had the receipt but it was 2DAYS over their return policy and the young brat just said«sorry its over the date we can return them. There’s nothing we can do for you.»

My girlfriend and I stopped by here and was quite pleased with the store. While this is not a high end designer shoe store they did have some nice shoes and boots at good prices. I noticed that here on Unilocal a few people seemed to have issues with their return policy but in the store they explain it up front and its pretty typical. If you wear the shoes and there are scuff marks you can’t return them, seems fair. The sales staff is generally pretty friendly and was nice enough to bring out a few other shoes similar to the one my GF was looking at for her to checkout.

I called this store to explain a problem I was having with a pair of their boots that I had just purchased. The reason I called was to see if they would even consider taking the shoes back after I had worn them twice.(I don’t typically make these type of calls but the right boot was bruising my ankle, and that’s not something you can predict happening upon purchasing.) The girl I spoke to made it clear that there was nothing they could do, and I can live with that.(I’ll have to, right?) What I didn’t like was her approach to the matter. She didn’t sympathize with me at all or even pretend to. A simple«I’m really sorry, I understand that it’s disappointing, but…» would have sufficed, even if she didn’t mean it. Instead she brushed off my complaint with a snotty attitude as if she thought I was being shady and ridiculous. It’s already bad enough that I paid $ 70 for a bruised ankle, at least pretend like you care. I have 4 pairs of Cathy Jean shoes and all the others are great, so I just want to clarify this isn’t a review on their shoes but my customer service experience with this particular store.

FALSECRAPNAMEBRAND!!! I bought a pair of 70 dollar boots here and went to work and my co-worker had on the EXACT(down to the numbers on the inside and the soles) same pair on, she got hers from a cheap store in the Ventura Mall for 35 bucks. I called Cathy Jean and the«Manager» told me that they were indeed PLASTIC boots… WOW!!! Needless to say I am taking these CHEAPFAUXBRAND boots BACK and will NEVEREVER set foot insde this store again. Cathy Jean just puts the inserts into cheap shoes and charges for the GHETTO name brand.
