YESSSSS!!! CRONUTS found HERE!!! Enjoying these delightful morsels when the cravings hit and you live in Ventura County like I do, means enduring the trek into L.A. County since Rolling Pin in Camarillo decided not to continue making them anymore!(Why?!? They made them really well! Too bad.) However, during fellowship after worship at my church, they had some cronuts in the mix! Wh-WHAT?!? Where did u get those, pray tell?!? Donut Depot, of course! Quick Unilocal search… Boom! It’s in Thousand Oaks!!! Well, at least it’s closer than Los Angeles ;P Found just east of The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza in the«Select Plaza» strip mall, along Thousand Oaks Blvd. They serve cronuts DAILY. There’s also sandwiches & boba drinks, too. *CRONUT($ 2.50): They regularly have options of plain, glazed, and cinnamon. You can also have them filled with fruit or custard for $ 1 extra each. Tasty stuff, reminiscent of the O.G. stuff from NYC. Certainly, quality is enough to satisfy the cravings, and forego that quest into L.A. ;) * FRENCHCRULLER($ 1.50): One of my faves, but not always made the right way. Sometimes too soggy, too stale, or too sweet. NOTHERE! Made JUSTRIGHT by the donut masters here. I won’t ever pass these up when I’m here :) *SPECIALTYBAR: Got one cuz it looked too yummy to pass up, HAH! Yup, that Strawberry one was calling my name! The vanilla cream is light, tasty, with no after taste. Strawberries are fresh and not overly ripe. Evil creation here, heh heh! Solid donut shop! Customer service is friendly over the phone AND in person! Right now, this is THEONLYOPTION for cronuts in Ventura County. Just so YA know ;)

Cro-nuts…enough said but Unilocal dislikes short reviews. Selection of donuts is excellent and they also do great stuffed croissants. Staff were friendly and the shop has bike parking right out front.

Good variety in donut types, friendly staff. But the donuts themselves are nothing really«to write home about» the big chocolate chip roll tasted the best. The others were mildly dry and slightly lacking in flavor. But the girl was nice enough and if you have an evening craving they are open until 9. So give it a try.

I give this place a 3-star because they are open hours that your average shop is not and still have decently fresh doughnuts. Usually the cravings happen at times when places are closed, of course. Not a huge fan of the prices at all. Definitely not competitive and the taste of their doughnuts are decent. The location is okay but the inside is small and very compact. I would recommend at times other places are closed.

My favorite donut place in TO! Always fresh and delicious donuts with creative and unique flavors. My favorite is the cream filled one! Many drink options and donut alternatives as well.

Wow today I tried for the first time a maple bacon bar and it was freakishly delicious and also a ham & cheese croissant. The prices are very low but the quality is very good and they have an abundant amount of all kinds of donuts.

Just sitting here, enjoying a dense, yeasty croissant and decided that I needed to give Donut Depot the credit it deserves. Being very picky about my food, and not a particular fan of donuts, this place is making me happy. Their goods are fresh, huge, and most importantly to me, not overly sweet. I love their croissants with ham and cheese, with chocolate chips, or plain to be loaded with tuna salad. They are substantial and delicious, and the owners could not be nicer. So happy that they have such a loyal customer base. OK, just finished the croissant and moved on to the cronut, yes CRONUT, a hybrid between a donut and a croissant and boy, this is addictively yummy!!! Now I am looking forward to bite into the huge donut that’s still waiting inside my pink box :)

On the weirdest quest to try all of the donut shops in the Conejo Valley, I decided to try Donut Depot last weekend. It was a little later in the morning just before noon so the selection was a bit meager(I’m sure it’s better earlier in the day). Still they had some of my main go-to favorites: chocolate raised, custard filled, and maple bars. Visually the donuts look good but nothing special. Surprisingly the donuts were very very tasty! One of the best aspects of the donuts(chocolate raised in particular) was that they’re essentially a glazed donut with chocolate on top! It was a nice balance between icing and the chocolate to say the least. Located right off TO Blvd in a large shopping center, Donut Depot has plenty of parking with easy in-and-out. I definitely plan on being back in the near future.

This is a really great donut shop! I started coming here because my coworkers were always coming back with Thai Teas. I started trying them and love it! They also have Boba but Ive never tried it — my coworkers love it. Also someone recommended the breakfast croissants— so good! They have egg and cheese plus bacon or sausage or jalapeño. Its shaped like a pocket and big enough for breakfast. Also the donuts are great and always fresh. They even have cronuts!!!(Round donuts made of flaky croissant). My Husband begs me to bring these donuts to his office on Saturdays. They also have a variety of classic styles and even a bacon maple donut. The staff is very friendly and they also sell Lotto tix.

Having recently realized that Thousand Oaks Blvd. is a bit of a donut mecca, with roughly five donut shops squeezed within an 8 mile or so strip, I made the obvious decision to try them all. Star 1 — How was the service and atmosphere? With the owner of 15 years behind the counter, Donut Depot is your typical donut shop. While it appears as though a majority of the clientele just bop in on their way to work in the morning for a quick pick me up, there is both indoor and outdoor seating that makes for a comfortable experience. Star Granted. Star 2 — How were the portions relative to the cost? Opting to go for the Cinnamon Glaze, I spent $ 1.10 for what was, at the end of the day, a pretty small donut. Unfortunately, Stan’s, Gladstone, and Best Donuts all offer larger(and better tasting) donuts for under a dollar. No Star Granted: Stars ¾ — How was the food? Whlie Donut Depot’s simple nature is appealing, it also makes it a tad bit disappointing as far as selection goes. Yes, they have all the basics, and the basics make the most sense if you’re trying to sell out your inventory by the end of the day, but it would have been nice to see a unique option here or there. As for my Cinammon Glaze? It was okay. Not the best donut I’ve ever had, but I suppose it was only a dollar. Single Star Granted. Star 5 — Would you eat it every day if you could? While I’ll certainly go back to try the Boba that I spotted on the menu as I was leaving, Donut Depot fell a tad bit short of my experience at nearby Gladstone’s in Oak Park and well short of Best Donuts just up the road. While it’s a decent stop for a quick and simple donut, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to Donut Depot with so many other options nearby. No Star Granted.

My husband and I have been eating donuts at Donut Depot for years. There plain, powder sugar, swist, chocolate bars, and chocolate glaze donuts are awesome! Check it out. And they have great coffee and hot chocolate. Friendly people.

The closer I get to Thousand Oaks on my morning commute, the more frequently I glance at the clock on my car radio. Were the traffic gods working in my favour that day? Am I going to have those precious 4 extra minutes to pass by the Donut Depot? When I do make it, I almost always pick up a blueberry and cream cheese croissant. This is a croissant of the super greasy, somewhat doughy variety, so don’t expect anything fancy at all. In fact, I love it because it’s so not fancy and tastes so bad for you that it’s delicious. They also have croissants with various combinations of ham, cheese, eggs and sausage in them, but I don’t think I’ve tried any of those. The donuts don’t disappoint. I always grab a dozen donut holes to share with my coworkers. For my own consumption, I lean towards the more cinnamon-y ones, like the coffee roll or the apple fritter. Oh, the apple fritter. Also so sweet and heavy that you know it can’t be good for you. It usually takes me a few hours to get through one of those. They also have muffins which are quite good. The best part? You usually approach the counter thinking you got a ton of donuts which will cost a lot, but are always pleasantly surprised by how little you actually pay. At least, that’s the case for me.

They have some donuts with half-way melted chocolate chips as a filling, and a chocolatey top with more chocolate chips that is absolutely to die for. Be sure to get there early for this favorite!

Donut Depot is a great place to stop in if you’re in the section of Thousand Oaks near the Lakes(it’s across the street). The donuts aren’t quite on Stan’s level, but they are very good, and they have a lot of varieties that are relatively fancy for the area — but not veering much off the mainstream. They have several four-seat tables with benches and one or two two-seat tables on the inside, which are sometimes hard to get, and another small table on the outside. The owner’s very nice and easy to talk to, and knows his customers pretty well. The credit cards have a $ 10 minimum which you’ll probably never trigger, and there’s no bathroom — like all the other donut stores around here — but they do have a soda fountain instead of the weird can thing. I’d say that the real reason to come here is that they’ve got the best muffins I’ve tried in the area. I don’t mean the bran muffins(which I haven’t tested) which are in the donut case, but rather the plain muffin and the cream cheese muffin(which is the plain with a pocket of cream cheese inside) sitting atop the counter. They’re not healthy, but they’re sweet, smooth, and delectable.
