Ok, I never write reviews but this place really ticked me off! I’ve never been to this place before and was excited to go. But as good as these places may be for eating, their coffee always sucks, so I went to Coffee Bean first and then to Egg n Things. As I walked in the lady who works there… hostess ?, I’ll call her Marge since I missed her name tag, tells me no outside drinks. I get policies, but really a coffee? So I say, ok then… bye bye! Never got to try their food and never will! I find turning my business away very stupid! Maybe have good coffee instead of crappy burnt cafeteria coffee? I think this is what is being missed at these kind of places. I like good coffee! Anyway, I’m sure their food is fine but this idiotic policy just lost you a customer for life and I’m a big eater with a large family. You’ll do fine without my business, Eggs and Things, but I’ll continue to give my money to Jinky’s in Thousand Oaks instead! They are ok with me bringing my own coffee and their food rocks!

The food was very good during my experience but I have to say I was extremely shocked by the uniform choice particularly for the women in the restaurant. I feel it is extremely inappropriate for these women to wear their shirts completely unbuttoned with short shorts. It was unclear to my family who they were trying to attract. It is quite embarrassing to have young women wearing outfits like that next to young children and families. Again the food was great and the employees were very nice but this is supposed to be a family welcome restaurant and I’m not sure if I wasn’t to take my family there again.

Great breakfast spot. My husband and I love the cottage fries. The service is always great and the food is always consistent. The tuna melt is also very good.

Came for the eggs, stayed for the things. 10⁄10 The food is always delicious and they give you free crepes. I’m a crêpe. I’m a weirdough. what the hell am i doughing here? i donut belong here. Ok so here’s the deal. Get some of the chicken fried steak and eggs. They do a great job. French toast is of course great, but it’s literally impopsicle to mess that up. They have great biscuits so if the options are biscuits or toast, you’d have to be an absolute madman to get a piece of FLAT toast. Do not get a side of fruit because they put honeydew in it, and that’s a garbage fruit. My only complaint is that a business should probably use full words like«AND» instead of «‘N’»

2 stars for fast service and great location. I don’t think this review is very fair since I can’t give any stars for what I ordered and the value. I think $ 10.95 for a mediocre scramble is of good value. My order(machaca scramble) was bland and tasteless. Honestly this is not a fair review but I just wasn’t satisfied with my order. Womp womp womp.

I love the swedish pancakes and usually make an extra order of them. My favorite dish there is the california scramble with gravy instead of hollandaise sauce.

I’m addicted to the chili verde huevos!!! Go there specifically every chance I get to have it. Popular place though, be prepared to wait for a seat.

Pretty good. It reminds me somewhat of a diner you would find in Ohio or Minnesota since all the staff are super chipper and accommodating. The crepes are bomb but you don’t get one with takeout which is disappointing. I always get an omelet, and my boyfriend always gets the breakfast burrito. Both are always good. So why the 3 star? The prices are a little insane for what you get. Just a hint: If you get the burrito, get a different side other than potatoes since the burrito is loaded with potatoes already.

Of all the Eggs n Things this is probably my 2nd favorite. Tried the veggie omelette and it was a great choice. Sourdough toast. Potatoes. And the crêpe of course! Waitress was pretty attentive yet still gave us our space, which I appreciate. Person I was with got the cinnamon roll French toast and WOW… ridiculously delicious. Choose whatever, I’m sure it’ll taste great.

Favorite breakfast place in Ventura county. The lines can get long, but it’s worth the wait. Once seated, service is fast and friendly. Their Swedish pancakes are on a whole other level. The best item on the menu by far. I usually get two orders of them plus a couple scrambled eggs. Oh, and did I mention that everyone that comes and orders breakfast gets a free Swedish pancake appetizer! How can it get better? I’ve been coming here my whole life, and will continue to do so for its amazing breakfast.

I like eggs n things. The free crêpe thing is a special touch that makes you feel at home. Simple home cooked breakfast. Nothing overly special about the place. its simple and good. nothing stands out like i mentioned, but I also dont have anything negative to say. I ordered the breakfast special. I forget exactly what it was but it had eggs, toast, sausage, and maybe a cup of coffee. For like 8 bucks? I could be wrong, this was a few months ago. we were in the process of moving to the area so it was really early in the morning on barely any sleep. I would come back.

I don’t typically write negative reviews and I don’t intend for this one to be too bad. It’s not huge but I was rubbed the wrong way. Upon being seated I requested two kids menus. My stepson, in typical 10 year old fashion requested a regular menu. I reiterated that he would receive a kids menu. The host kid urged him to take a regular menu and completely undermined my authority right in front of me. I didn’t like that one bit. I mentioned it to him on the way out. I tried not to be a dick about it and think I expressed my displeasure in a constructive way. If you read this: sorry if I came off rude at all but please be mindful of what the adult is telling the child. It is ultimately the guardian’s decision. Aside from that, the service was pretty slow, presumably because it was right after a rush and the waiter was taking it easy? I asked for a setup and didn’t receive it until after I received my food. So I was unable to eat my Swedish pancake when it came out. Coffee refills were slow and only if I I could flag someone down. And the hollandaise sauce was underwhelming. Overall not a horrible meal though. Clearly this place does great things because it’s always busy and has been the go to breakfast spot in town for as long as I can remember. We all have our off days.

My aunt lives in Thousand Oaks and she wanted to take me to breakfast and she said this was the spot. We were going on a Sunday and got there early. Thankfully we did because when we left there was a big wait. But lets talk about the food and the service here and this little locals dive. Family style place with a nice menu of various lunch and breakfast items. I was torn on what to get but opted for the Machaca. I am glad I made this decision, it was super good. It was topped with just a little bit of sour cream and fresh avocado. That with the side of tortillas and hash browns and I was super stuffed. My girl got the Chile Verde Huevos which kind of had me with a little bit of food envy. I stole a couple bites cause it was just that tasty. A great spot to come if you are local to the area, I am sure you probably already know this place. All I needed was a mimosa to go with the bomb breakfast. Our server was Sarah and she was awesome. Thanks for the good food! CHEERS!

A local breakfast spot. If you arrive early, you can get the breakfast special for $ 6.75. Sold, since I’m balling on a budget. It’ll include your basic breakfast, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, and 2 pancakes, and toast. Best part is, that while you’re waiting, they bring you a fresh crêpe on the house. Staff is friendly, like they’re welcoming you into their home. When I’m in town, and looking for a quick bite to eat, and won’t empty my wallet, I’ll come here.

Love this place! One of my favorite breakfast spots to go to. It’s usually pretty crowded on the weekends, but for good reason. The staff there is really nice and will try and get you a place to sit as soon as they can. Meantime you have a place to sit either inside or outside while you wait. The service is great, as soon as you sit down someone comes gets your drink order and bring it out right away, they always come by to check if you need any more refills. The waiter soon comes after that and takes your order and will gladly help if you have any questions. The best part is that they give you a free crêpe in the beginning which is a definite plus :) Pretty much anything on the menus is delicious. I highly recommend everyone to go try it out.

The good: this place gives you a complimentary crêpe with your order, the servers and wait staff were very attentive and polite, and I really enjoyed my ham, cheese, & bell pepper omelette. Vanilla our hazelnut coffee creamer is also provided in those mini portable liquid creamer cups. The prices are pretty competitive. Average: the pancakes and the machaca burrito. The not so good: there is always a long wait.

Great time eatery in Thousand Oaks that my kids will probably take their kids to. There is always a line outside but it usually moves pretty quickly. The wait staff are super friendly and nice décor, quaint yet modern touch. The complimentary Swedish Pancake(crêpe) is a nice touch although the jam you get is very sweet, I would go chocolate and powdered sugar next time. The American Breakfast is nothing special, standard expectable fayre although the Corned Beef Hash is pretty damn good. The drip coffee is pretty nice and the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. If you are in the area and its breakfast for two or the entire tribe definitely worth stopping in!

I’ve always loved Eggs N Things since as long as I can remember. Growing up in Thousand Oaks it has always been one of my favorite breakfast joints. Overall this place has very good food, service is usually okay nothing to complain about, but I’ve never had over the top excellent service here or anything like that. Their omelettes are very good. I usually always order the California omelette, it comes loaded with avocado, which I like. However this time I wanted to try something different, so I ordered their Spanish omelette which was also really good. Their O’Brien potatoes are also one of my favorite things to get with the omelette. Also, they don’t have it on the menu but their cheese blintzes are AMAZING, and super cheap. If you love breakfast food you definitely should try this place.

Came here with some buddies because I heard it’s the spot to come to when in TO and thought it was pretty good. The free appetizers are probably the best part of the meal. I got a omelette special they had goin for the day with potatoes O’Brian. Everything was hot, fresh and everything came out together. Great spot.

Eggs n Things is everything a great breakfast and lunch restaurant should be. This location is busy. Expect a wait on weekends and holidays. It’s worth it, though, as the breakfasts are old-style, delicious, and reasonably priced. Breakfasts are accompanied by their complimentary and famous Swedish pancakes topped with powdered sugar and grape jelly. That’s reason enough to go to EnT. You can even get the Swedish pancakes as a meal, but with so many treats on the menu why not get a little of everything? Proper sausage and bacon. Eggs done right. Decent Benedict. Belgium(sic) Waffles. Special recipe pancakes. Mmmmm. The only misses for me are the decaf coffee’s slightly weak taste and imitation maple syrup instead of real maple syrup for pancakes and waffles. They are not good enough reasons to bypass Eggs n Things, though. Service is efficient and very good. Expect a little walk from your car as the parking lot gets filled up. Don’t be wary of the long lines to get in. Tables turn over fast, and it’s worth the wait.
